  10. pete, then the oem sprocket [8 holes] is the lighter/better of the two? btw, the bd race car is looking great!
  11. noddle, my question wasn't the one you referenced but the other 'lightweight'. that off centered piece [bushing] is removeable and can go in either hole and rotates within the hole to provide the adjustability.
  12. i acquired this cam sprocket with a 'box' of z parts that i purchased awhile ago. what i know person in the military purchased some cool z parts while stationed in japan brought parts back to install on z purchased in the states some of the parts in the box; new timing set, hks lightweight flywheel, mallory ignition and dizzy, new rocker arms & keepers, used timing chain & cam gear [help id this one-first pic], new adjustable cam gear [shown in pic] odd cam gear has 8 holes around it vs. 4 holes, weighs about 16oz vs. stock about 24oz. so, who makes it and is it a rare part? first pic shows the lightweight, 2nd shows the stock look & weight adjustable cam gear.

  14. gtr2, then join us during the winter sunday evenings to race. even have a thread here on hbz!
  15. this place has them for our z cars: http://www.classictube.com/products_clubflyer.asp some of us from the local [upstate ny] club provided them original & complete lines from our z cars to cover 70-78z's, brake, fuel [feed & return] lines. they even have the small lines around the master as well as rear short lines going to the wheel cylinders. they can also make larger diameter fuel lines based on oem bends on demand.
  16. clive, isn't that in front of your dads garage?
  17. finally i got around to installing the ss tank straps. pretty simple, remove the straps one at a time [allows other strap to hold the tank], bend the new one to match the old and voila, done. this shows old vs. new installation complete and looking a bit blingy! they fit like the originals and now look great and won't rust to boot, nice job jerry!
  18. my z has been white since 1990. it is a fleet white base with a subtle platinum pearl in the clear coat. i was too poor at the time to afford true euro z bumpers so we stripped, welded the holes and rear into 1 piece, painted and voila, white euro bumpers. here she is...
