  1. ok, ask and you shall receive. here are 2 more pics of this very well orchestrated z! rear shot... and the front view...
  2. cam, couple thoughts from my experience with the ls swap. i'm using a 160 tstat. will be putting the 180 back shortly. 2nd, it may [the gauge] be sampling the temp from either the warmer or cooler head. the heads are not directly connected for coolant. i discovered this as my gauge read one temp and the laptop [while tuning] was reading about 20 different. remedied by tapping the back 2 coolant fittings and tying them together. also, keep in mind that gm designed this engine to run around 200-210, with our L6's are not used to temp that high. perhaps yours is just getting up to the proper temp. not sure how much this will help but hope it will...
  3. here's the best one. friend of mine owns this fantastically put together z and it runs like a scalded cat. the sound that emanates, as a combination of the 6 carbs singing in unison along with the 3" mandrel ss exhaust is truly intoxicating. we swapped z's while in florida in 2007 and i didn't want to give it back. the car revs and begins pulls hard past 3k and keeps pulling past 8k on the tach. the further it climbs the better the sound...ok, here's the pic!
  4. looks great, i like the extended nose and contrasted rear valence color!
  5. phil, in upstate ny natural casing hot dogs are the norm. a few different companies produce them, zweigel's will ship for you. they have both red & white [pork] hots. best when grilled and they will split when done properly! http://www.zweigles.com/
  6. you can use either sending unit, if the 280, the low fuel light remains unused.
  7. austin, do you think these will clear the stock door panels? where are you planning on mounting the switches-console? they look great, you got me thinking to upgrade my z as well. especially when i'm driving and...have to unbuckle to reach the pass window [argh].
  8. miles, i am going to install a prop valve. the only challenge i see at this time is that i'm running different halfshafts and the adaptor that connects them to the companion flange / stub axle looks like it may interfere with the e-brake cable. i'm working with edan [bajaracer] on this. when did you purchase your kit?
  9. more pics. 1st is of the rotor & caliper initial mounting. 2nd/3rd are comparison of the pads [240sx vs. silvermine/mustang]. pads: roughly same contact size but as they wear the mustang pad will have the greater contact patch. also, the mustang pad is thicker and easier to install. still have to get the adaptor brackets plated, get the e-brake mount finished, etc, etc... rotor & caliper mounted pad comparo...
  10. pete, which z is that and what are it's plans? still cherishing great memories of driving the baddog z at nelson!!!!! thanks again to u and john for letting me behind the wheel of your z:mrgreen:
  11. he came over for a few beers and we haven't been able to get rid of him since...
  12. we received about 14" yesteday, 4" early this morning and it's snowing again-the weather guessers are predicting another 4-6" before the day is over. here's a pic of the z in my driveway [1tuffz] is hibernating in the garage.
  13. i know the owner, the car is about 20min from my house. been to the shop before, like time warping. the sound of that z is awesome, twin exhaust all the way from the split header, raises the hair on the back of your neck when it revs. 2nd time on ebay, we'll see how it does this time.
  14. ColtGT4g63, what pn is the volvo upper rad hose you used? looks nearly perfect!
  15. just checked mine, no clearance issues. my flex line is mounted at the top of the caliper and i did NOT cross my ebrake cable [i have not heard this about the mml kit and i've run it for now for years without mechanical issues]. i suspect that you put the R caliper on the R side of the z and vice versa. they should be oppositely mounted L to R, and R one on the L. when mounted the bleeder tubes should be on top as well as the flex lines. check and let us know-here's a pic of mine when i first installed it.
