  1. it opened my eyes this morning. i agree, the front end needs a bit of fine tuning.
  2. ok, not a newb, searched & read [even re-read jon's super-duper diff sticky] and am still unable to find the following: suggested / recommended fluid for the q45 diff [street driving and driving events at watkins glen] separate 'reservoir' for the vsld and is it servicable? if so, recommended fluid / goo? thanks in advance!
  3. nos door panel shown with old panel for comparison
  4. great pointers greg! in addition, you can usually hear run & [sometimes] drive a donor. with a jy pullout or halfcut you don't get the same luxury-to me the donor car was a safer bet.
  5. my 2 cents-can you pack the stuff up and mark return to sender or refuse the package? if not, keep what's worth the $ to cover shipping and send the rest back? two wrongs don't...you know the rest. don't stoop to his level.
  6. bought an 01 trans am ram air with ws6 package for 6900-shipped. pulled what i need, sold the rest and got back all but about $130. of course, i didn't log any of my labor-i did have a good time stripping it. i sold parts on fleabay as well as to some members of the local f-body club [worked great for the larger parts]. with the donor car i kept; eng, trans, elec fans, some wiring and odd hardware. david
  7. cool stuff john & pete-keep us posted!
  8. probably the same guy. got my $175 for parts never sent. paypal judged in my favor but you can't get blood from a stone...
  9. vinh, i'd love to have a nice condition fairlady grill. david
  10. yet another scammer from the nc state. i was 'took'... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=126997
  11. i have a new pair, send me an email instead of pm to; one_tuffz@yahoo.com
  12. alan, i don't believe that is datsun spirit. i've speak to eiji [owner] regularly and purchased a set of these reproduction covers from him last year. i don't believe that he has ever sold them on ebay before. i think this is a different seller and will ask eiji next time i speak to him. also, if these are the same covers i have, the rings are not stainless but chrome plated steel.
  13. sorry, i thought 78280z needed them [saw his ny location]
  14. i have a pair in my 73 parts car, you can have them if you come and get them. i'm in rochester...
  15. i first modified the trans am dipstick to make it look 'like it fit in' but didn't like the result. finally gave up and purchased a lokar dip stick-works and looks great.
  16. what, no props for the source that pointed you to your fame?!
  17. congrats john, you'll represent us well! as for the sleeper look you're going for-it works!
  18. ok, i'll give it a shot... Name: David Palermo Handle: 1tuffz City/State: Rochester, NY Year/Model: 1973 Datsun 240z Vehicle Details (max 20 words): Light car, big brakes, ample v8 LS1 power and a great looking body-what more could an enthusiast ask for?! Vehicle Pictures [pick what you like-if you need I have more...]:
  19. nice fab job. i'd assume that the gm sc is also plentiful and easy to get parts for as well-good choice. is there a way you can redirect your intake to draw non-engine bay warm air? that could help your ic to work more efficiently and drop your intake temp even further = more power! are you planning a turbo as well to make this twincharged?!
