  1. I agree with the above statements it probably in the cap or rotor. Plus make sure it's the right cap the later ign. module distributor has a taller cap i think? Any way check those things out and make sure all the connections are good especially the grounds.
  2. Very nice work Miami! BTW I grew up in the Kendall area and use to go to the races Wendsday, Friday, and Saturday. You talked about going from racing spot to spot. Is there still a big steet racing scene over there? I was told that the cops had cracked down on the racing at Saga Bay, Avacado Rd, and in Hialeah. They were impounding cars, my friend said. I used to race out there when Brandon/PSI racing starlet and Tirso/240ZT owned the street. I had a 73 Datsun 1200 trunk with a LZ24 on Nitrous. Keep up the good work and stay safe on the streets.
  3. Justin I just sent you a deposit for two flanges. Thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to getting the parts.
  4. Finally our day has come. Looks good Justin keep up the good work.
  5. Justin looks great! I was wondering if I could purchase the kit in pieces? I would like to weld the thing up myself. Would that be possible?
  6. Man I hope someone finishes what 240Z Turbo started. This thread kicks ass and all but I would still like to see an end result.
  7. Definately the larger port size for me. It would make no sense to go with the smaller port in my case because I'm looking for more flow and HP gains.
  8. Hey guys I just came accross this thread and was wondering what the status was on the intake flange and/or the entire intake manifold. I would be really interested in either one. What can I do to help?
  9. 1 Fast Z, Great job and never let people tell you "it can't be done" with time, money, imagination, experience, and more money anything is possible. Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
  10. Thanks and I look forward to the quote. Side note did Braap ever do a head for you?
  11. Thanks and I look forward to the quote. Side
  12. Hey John, If I were to supply the following items what would your setup set me back including shipping to AZ 85044? 2 front struts and spindles. 2 rear struts and hubs. 2 stub axles and companion flanges. 2 new inner wheel bearings. 2 new outer wheel bearings. 2 new grease seals. 2 new stub axle nuts. 2 backing plates (optional). 2 new spindle pins, lock nuts, and wedges. I what to build a purpose built AutoX 240Z. Spring rates, not really sure what I would need so I was hoping you could steer me in the right direction. Feel free to PM me with any questions(I'm sure you will have plenty).
  13. Right you are you were on nitrous and they were on motor. If he would have gone faster than 10.5 he would of been disqualified thats why he said he let off. That makes sense now. If you think about it it's kind of a crazy set of rules. People can potenially get into a show for 12 sec motor cars and have a 9 sec nitrous car. Thats one big problem with the show imo. It would seem that a turbo car (or any participant) would have to de-tune for qualifing and then unleash the fury for the actual race. Jon thanks so much for the insite, it really helps. Maybe not as clean cut as I though.
  14. Yeah thats the "all out" show my friend in Florida said it was crazy down there for that filming too! I'm more concerned with the race that Jon was in, their regulations, and why they didn't DQ him if he ran faster than a 10.5.
  15. Hey Jon, First off congrats on the total domination on Pink's. I've got one quick question for you thought. Earlier you stated this: "First of all when we agreed to run on Pinks- our contract was to bring a car no faster then 10.50 et (quarter mile) on motor. We got to Richmond, each competitor had to make a test pass to make sure we didn't run faster than 10.50 on motor. I went out and made an all out 1/4 mile test pass with a 10.85 et at 125.26 mph." What I want to know is obviously both cars were faster than that on NOS right? With the statement above it would seem that your car could have been disqualified for running faster then the 10.5 on the first race right? The reason I as is because I've seriously considered building a Z to take on Pink's and I planned on bring car capable of a lower ET then what was required just to be safe. Plus it seems like most people bring a faster car than what is asked for. I know that to be true for the races that were held here in Phoenix for the first season of the show. There were guys with cars capable running low 12's but were racing in the 13 sec bracket. Could you elaberate on the "contract" a little bit more for my piece of mind. Thanks Adrian.
  16. I've been waiting for this a long time now, Thank You for thinking us fellow AZ Z owners.
  17. Well Braap, You can put me on the list for both an intake and a rail. I know that it could be done with a little time and determination but i would rather hust pay someone with the experience to do it.
  18. Nice intakes and rails! do you sell these peices? If so how much?
  19. You can usually get it started with the base map. If not try and set up the ignition to the factory setting and then just adjust the fuel as needed. A wide-ban O2 sensor will help out greatly too. I know that you can have it displayed on the haltech screen while you are tuning. I just don't know if it's an option or a standard tool. I've used the F9 and F10 FMU's and have never had a problem starting my z with stock or bigger size injectors. Granted the were fuel only computers.
  20. Correct me if I'm wrong but the O2 sensor only aids in fine tuning the fuel curb on a stock EFI system working in conjuction with the AFM. If the map is way off or the injectors too big the ECU will not compensate for that big diffrence.
  21. I agree with everyone else about getting the car tuned, but to answer your question as to why the turbo wont spool until 7000 rpm it possible u have a wastegate problem. Check your hoses, couplers, ect. and make sure its closed until boost kicks in.
  22. OK 2802NR I would really like a set of those runner as well, and if you are going to be making the intake flange I would take that too. Crunch some numbers and get back to me. I could really use that stuff for my future projects. Thanks for the inspiration!
  23. Clutch Master makes a good racing clutch/pressure plate set up. I think I have their Stage 4 and it has a srung hub and 6 bronze pucks. It should hold plenty of power. Visit their website for details. I've had quotes on heads be around $800-$1000 for port work, seats, valves, and assembly. Call Robello racing and they can quote you over the phone.

    Slow Rev

It could be several things. have you check the spark plugs? Start with the basics. Timing, fuel pressure, ignition system, intake system. Thats a start at least.
  25. How many of us Z owners are in the Phoenix area?
