  1. No, not running it myself. All you may need is just a reservoir can. Unless your cam is ungodly radical (ie not streetable!), a pump likely is not necessary. This is probably what you need: Go to http://www.summitracing.com/ , and use either vacuum reservoir, or vacuum pump as your search words. Tim
  2. Your teacher sounds like a real closed minded @ss!! He has no business being in the teaching profession with that kind of attitude...and you can tell him I said that.....oh, and his kids are ugly And the fact that he drives an Aztec and it's yellow Tim
  3. Are you referring to bleeding the brakes, or having vacuum assist when running a radical cam profile, like this?:
  4. Either: http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/ecm_sup.html
  5. Nice thing is that TunerCat supports this motor, so programming is not a problem!!
  6. I know the feeling of the lost feeling of safety and security. Back in the old Country, we were broken into while we were sleeping. It was a hot summer night and we had the fan blowing hard, so could hear much over that. We were woken up by the security guard (armed with a fully automatic rifle - R1), who happened to be walking by just as the thieves had gained entrance to the front door. We were very lucky as usually the robbers just kill you there. I bought a 9mm Browning the next day!! and carried it loaded and cocked (safety on) everywhere I went. Over there, it's shoot first ask questions later!!! Count your blessings that you both weren't home, or worst, just your woman..... Tim

  8. Bryan, If you are still on the fence about getting rid of it, let me know and I can come over and take a look. Tim
  9. Bogus federal weapons charges. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18143&highlight=
  10. Maybe he meant' date=' CLEANER THAN A STICK WELDER. [/quote'] I wouldn't say cleaner, just a bit more precise. It creates slag just like an arc welder. Have fun...welding is great! Once you get the hang of it, you will be spending more time just thinking of what you can build, just so that you can weld something
  11. Thanks for the update John. According his last email to me, he was sentenced to 25 months and started Feb 2002. He should, by that schedule, be due for release next month?
  12. Isn't he about due for release from the slammer? Nessie you out there? I seem to remember he was sentenced for 2 years, I think it's been about that? (Feb 3rd, 2002 he 'reported for duty')
  13. WOW Yasin...that's a hellava fart can you have there Tim
  14. Remember this guys.....even if your particular State has no testing requirements, it's still a FEDERAL crime to remove or tamper with emissions control equipment. Is it likely that you will be caught....probably not, but if you do, it can be serious! Federal EPA frowns with a big ticket book.....
  15. I am using the 8 point kit from S&W (I can see Katman's eyes rolling now ). My car is definitely not a daily driver, and it IS a PITA to climb in and out of. With the steering wheel on, it's almost impossible. Now with the detachable steering hub, it's bearable...pics on my site. Tim
  16. In CA, if your car is required to be tested (usually every two years as a requirement for registration), then it's a visual check for all components and a rolling load (dyno) check at different speeds with a sampler in the tailpipe. THey also pull the gas cap and pressure test it. There is no 'safety inspection'. Tim
  17. Van, You are welcome to use my gun. If you want I will bring it with to the Coffey meet
  18. OK...sorry I thought it was meant to signify s.u.c.k... Follow the fuel line.
  19. Judging by your signature, I think you are in the wrong place on this site!
  20. Since that engine was never release or certified in the States, let alone CA, I doubt it could be made legal, but you may want to get in touch with someone at State (BAR-Bureau of Automotive Repair, or CARB - Caifornia Air Resources Board.)....I would suggest that you speak in hypotheticals and non-specifics.
