Yeah....kinda looks like something out of "Death Race 2000", but I reckon with a decent 2, or 3 tone paint job, some decent wheels, and a grill of some sort, it could be nice......I find it very intriguing! Someone put a lot of thought and effort into it.....you gotta respect the work, even if you don't like the end result!

No....Bart has the 50% OD and a 3.54:1 rear....don't know the tire size. His speedo may need recalibrating due to the initial calibration being done with 245/45-16s, so depending on the difference in circumference, that could be throwing it off.....

I believe that the stock cam produces it's torque peak at 1600-1700rpm. there really isn't much more you can do to get more power without opening up the engine (cam swap, ported heads etc) since you have basically the outside stuff (headers, exhaust, C.A.intake etc). Power bug biting you ALREADY!!

No...they are just saying that it is compatible with tap water, not saying that it is recommended......

Elec. tach and speedo. All others is your preference.....I prefer to use mech. for oil and water temp.....

Oh..BTW:

The T56 will work fine with that setup, but just ask yourself if the $$ for the T56 is worthwhile. With that diff ratio you will use the 1st gear, but rarely 6th. The T56 is a big, heavy unit......since you don't need the strength (conservative HP levels), go with a WC T5 and save your money for other stuff.

Wouldn't it be comical if this thread degraded into a heated political/opinion debate? Speaking as a John Q. Member, I am also opposed to political/religious/personal preference discussions. Like it has been stated above, there are plenty of other places on the WWW to get your fix. Keep this an automotive tech. site (and the wierd crap that Alex posts )... Speaking as a Moderator, some of these discussions are actually very interesting, and many of the opinions are very thought provoking, but when the thread goes south, it becomes a shame to remove it. Parsing out the bad comments are sometimes difficult because the arguments backing them up are sometimes intergral to the thread, but are stated in anger, heat of the moment etc......easier to just keep the site about cars......
