    What problems are you having?
  2. and....the nice thing about the TunerCat application is that you can download the application from their site, then you can paypal them the fee and they will send you via email the license key and the definition file for your PCM, then you are set....no snail mailing stuff.
  3. You should be able to find the published specs for your speed sensor. If it is a GM unit, I believe they are all the same....
  4. Here is a screen print of the speed calibration screen:(this was from the drivetrain that was in my Z from a 94 Z28 )
  5. Yes, You can read the PCM, save the file and email it to me and I can open it and edit it and send it back to you.....no charge for electronic shipping
  6. Why don't you buy the software and cable and do your own programming and tuning......it is definitely worth the cost (~$70 for software, and ~$90 for cable). You are gonna end up spending that just in shipping back and forth everytime you need a change.....
  7. There is a lag period for new members. You will need to wait 2 weeks from sign up.
  8. Don't pay someone to edit the PCM. Buy TunerCat, and get a cable from Andrew @ AKMelectronics.com. I you want me to edit the PCM, just pay the $20 for the definition file from TunerCat, send me the PCM and I will program it for free..... Tim
  9. I agree, I don't NEED to flare it, and either way (flare or no flare) the 9" will need to be narrowed......but pushing the track wider will make the car more stable and handle better, plus look mean as hell.......on the other hand....it looks so sleek now.......crap!
  10. I really want to keep my car the way it is for the reasons I stated above, but it is things like this that makes me Now that is gonna look mean as hell!!! On the other hand....MikeKZ's car is pretty damned bitchin' too!!!
  11. uh....ok so where are all you losers!!
  12. I believe GM has a recall for some of these issues, or at least an advisory. Check out the NTSA website for details.....
  13. You need to post 'for sale' items in the classifieds, not in the technical forums. See number 5: http://forums.hybridz.org/announcement.php?f=59&announcementid=2
  14. Well as some, many, or none of you know, my Z has no drivetrain, or rear suspension and I am building a 357ci TT (2 x T04 60-1 units) with a 700 R4 and ford 9". Well.....I have been mulling over for months now whether or not I should flare the hell out of the 1/4 panels and fenders, or do a mini-tub to fit the necessary rubber in the rear. I spent years on the body and paint, all my own effort, and I am cringing a bit on throwing that all away and affixing fiberglass to the car. The body, as it stands now is PERFECT. Not even a scratch anywhere (or at least none that I have noticed.) I have even considered buying another shell to to this with and selling this car "as is"..... Any words of wisdom? No special plans for the car...maybe a few runs at the strip, very little street driving, and maybe some auto-X just for kicks. This build is an engineering practice more than anything else. What thinks the brain trust?
  15. The damn auction ended at 11pm....4 hours past my bed time!! I went to $250 and some odd cents, but was outbid by a couple of bucks!!
  16. That guy's face before the launch was priceless. he was totally not entirely sure he wanted to be involved in the whole mess!!
  17. Yeah, but take 150hp away from 420hp and you have an engine that puts out 270hp.....POS if you ask me. Think about the extra expense and effort to change cam/followers and carb, gaskets etc etc....get the right thing from the start......
  18. Just unplug your MAF. If it runs with that unplugged, you know its a vac leak.....diagnose before repairing.....
  19. Make sure that all the open vacuum ports are plugged on the intake. As a test, unplug the MAF and see if it runs longer. If it does, then find your vac leak. With the MAF unplugged, it defaults to speed density so it can take the extra air into account. Tim
  20. They don't have a pretty picture to look at, but Port City Racing has them: http://www.portcityracing.com/ type in "shifter boot" in the search box or, summit racing has a bunch of them:
  21. Only 421 HP with 150hp shot of juice......piss poor....
  22. Please search through the forums.........this question has been asked and answered about 100 times+ Bottom line.....it is impossible to answer.
  23. I think that statement is overplayed. Usually it is from not correctly venting the cell, or strapping it down too hard. Do a search it has been discussed ad nauseum. Bottom line is that the consensus is that it isn't a problem. Not to say that it doesn't happen, but it is rare and usually has an underlying cause..... Tim
