I posted this thread above with photo, and the pic showed, I just checked in to see if I had any help offered, and the dam thing is not showing People must think I have an imaginary diff I edited the post and reloaded the pic so you guys cane see what part I'm refering to... I have this 3:54 R180 LSD that has this part inside broken and was wondering if anyone thats knows these diffs could let me know if its possible to find just this part, or if a reg open R180 has the same part in it? Its the part in hand, and its the cover portion that bolts to what I think is calles the spool? It is missing the portion that looks to me like that the bearing race would fit on, Im not sure. My main question is would this cover be unique to the LSD only? I have more pics if I'n not explaining this enough. I hate to toss this diff just cause I can't find this piece... thanks for your help
  3. I don't know what the glitch is. When I posted my pic at 11:22 am, James wern't showing, but mine did. Now it's the other way around Anyhow, between Donna, TimO, TimZ, James and myself, you will get your fill of pics, sooner than later I will most likely be the first to do the install since I'm the only one with a running car at the moment joel
  4. that my trans is working fine I pulled the drain plug this a.m. to put some fresh redline syth fluid in it and found this......
  5. This is a 83z 5spd. I find it hard to belive that I can't notice any problems in the operation of this trans. If I wouldn't have pulled the plug, I wouldn't have known there was a problem. Your right I'm sure, I should go ahead and swap it out back to the T5.
  6. On that same subject; I had to re-boot my CVs for the same reason, this week while I had my car down for a coilover conversion. I'm a little leary of installing everything back the way it was until I hear of a good fix from you guys on this subject. BTW, V.B. sells OEM quality boots. My question is, what would leaving the rear sway bar off do for normal street driving? Would my car ride way differnt??

  8. Thats understandable. I had one on my z for a while too and had boost spike, but it may have had to do with to small of a exit hole. Once I went to the HKS 60mm, the boost problems dissapeared.....

  10. Man, that don't sound very good. I thought their was a price quote to Donna for less on the header, the $250 price is I think for the cromed coating I'd call and ask for Abid and tell him you want the same price we are paying.......

  13. Is their also a typo on the year? The rear panel dosen't look like a 240 to me. Why would someone change it out to resemble a 74-78?
  14. That looks wicked James. I went ahead and got in on the group buy for a turbo header to be made up like our friend in Mich.for use with the HKS 60mm wastegate. So far, there's four of us having one made Of course, it won't be of the stainless variety
  15. I don't think Cartech's was a "header" type manifold. I think they just played with the stock one, BUT I COULD BE WRONG. I've never seen one in person. Give Corkey Bell a ring, he's very nice to talk to...

  18. I emailed Pete last week regarding this same subject and this was his responce...very understandable "Joel, my guess is that Dan has turned that option off. I know it eats alot of cpu cycles, which I think Dan pays for." Pete
  19. IF your mustash bar is to the outside of the vertical risers, I would think you could remove all the cover bolts and the two nuts that hold the mustash bar and drop it that way. Oh, don't forget to suport the diff just my opinion, hope that works for ya
  20. I got these two peice SPACERSwith my wheels a couple years ago. I'm sure they are the same type shown on the link posted above. I think I only paid like $250.00 for the set. They are 38mm 5 on 4.5
