  1. So I thought I had some heavy duty storage pins. They are actually commerical grade for a fabric store. Didn't steal them, but got them out of the trash in my neighborhood. They are huge but have finally died. Beside shelves, what are you all using? I want something that I can put heavy parts in that are stackable, cheap and will hold up well. Don't want much do I!
  2. Something is not right with your CHTS if once warmed up it doesn't tell the computer to quit running rich. It has its own connection to the harness from the sensor to the main harness maybe a foot long. My connectors were corroded and solved the problem. You said your base pressure is 38 lbs? That seems high to me at idle. What is it at 3K? For simpilicty, take a stock Zx fuel pump and hook it directly to a fuel injection line with the source being a gas can. Run the return to the same gas can. This way you can see if your having any tank / fuel line issues and also easily check the function of the FPR.
  3. If you want, I'll let you borrow one as long as you pay for it like you were buying it ($75), pay shipping both ways and once it's returned I'll refund you the $75 back.
  4. Is this a one off job or going to build more?
  5. I just realized even though I read it that diagram is specific to the 98. Will, was your's a 98?
  6. Thanks! Did you end up using all the guages from the PCM to control stock gauges? I was going to not use the PCM to control the fans or guages except for the tach.
  7. So From everything I've read I think I like this diagram the best: http://www.4moores.com/280z/files/ls1wiringNEW.pdf Anyway, where is C102 at? Looking at this http://lt1swap.com/stock_ls1.jpg it's not listed. I used this link here http://lt1swap.com/99-02_vortec_pcm.htm and then plugs from the 2000 here http://lt1swap.com/ls1_wiring_harness/2000_connectors.htm to make this http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu85/jeffreysm/LS1_Wire2.jpg Now It might not be needed but what's confussing me now is 1020? What connector on the LS1 harness does that get power? I only found this by google: http://ls1tech.com/forums/ls1-domestic-forums/t-941701.html http://www.ls2.com/boggs/a4/autotransinlineharness.htm Also, why two Orange connectors? Both show 440 but with different pins. I'm assuming the one wire connects to both?
  8. I would ask how long he's had it, how long has it been painted and why is he selling it. Price seems okay. Reason you ask is because it could be a polished tird he is just looking to flip. On the other hand, it could be his baby he's owned forever and spent good money maintaining it.
  9. Subbed just in case I can't find in the future.
  10. Curious what was the language you disliked? Was this specific due to your storage or applicable to anyone who has Hagerty? Please share.
  11. To me it sounds like your fuel pressure is way to high. I would run to harbor freight and put one do their cheap fuel pressure gauges inline right off the fuel rail.
  12. Oh on a side not don't trust bungee cords. I new better but did anyway. The hood flew up and killed the rest of the windshield. Good thing it was already damaged from the accident. It was quite a strange feeling when it went up. It really pulled my truck back.
  13. Thanks guys. I only ran it for maybe 30 seconds. He wouldnt let me pull the drive shaft in the driveway but I pulled it about 2 miles to a Walmart and pulled it there. The car was on a military base and had some rules about working on cars. They let me rip the front end off but not pull the shaft. Thought the whole thing was strang. This is what I bought for $1900. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/3186211796.html
  14. Looking at a wrecked LS1 camaro. I've always gone with less than 1 minute but that has always been with iron block motors. Radiator has been removed.
  15. Hagerty is what I use. I've also used Grundy. My Z is only insured for $5k and it's 159 or so a year.
  16. I would find original SU. The SU are so simple in my mind. Run good once setup and good power.
  17. Yes save the wheels. They look like ARE. I sold my last set for $200. I think u did okay. The webers new are $$$ but used you may be dissapointed.
  18. With it idling fine it almost sounds like it's starving for gas. How is your fuel pressure?
  19. Mines not a "Puckett" but I'd sell you mine for $7k!
  20. Well I found it. Shook it and heard something rattling around inside. Seems some rust got into. It was working when pulled from the car. The rust looks like it was around the magnet on the volt meter so i cant gurantee it works now. No biggy if you don't want it.
  21. Let me look tonight. I'm pretty sure I have one and I can do $30 shipped. Mine would be from a 78'.
  22. That looks like an 82/83 dist. Hard to tell from that angle. Can u do an overview from the top? Actually if that is the plug it should be an 82/83.
