  1. I've got a set also. $50 plus shipping.
  2. Ouch that would not be cheap! Anyone try one of these: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=all&item_ID=633886&group_ID=675048&store=&dir=catalog
  3. So I was trying to pull 280z axles while in the JY. Got the drums off okay, one axle came out great and the other 14mm axle nuts woud not budge. Any suggestions on getting these off while in the junk yard? I'm kinda limited on tools while there, but do they even make a shallow closed ended box wrech to get around those nuts on the stub axles? Should I bring my map torch and try to heat them? All 4 were super stuck and I started rounding heads. Normally I use my open and box wrench and jolt them with the hammer and they pop right away.
  4. The eBay ones are the diff side, I'm assuming you looking for the wheel side.
  5. That's kinda cool. Stumbled on this on the lexus forum. I like all the obscure shots. Man I miss the "Rockford Files", something about that old show.
  6. Yeah, me either. Funny your doing that, I was actually curiuos what a S130 headlight bucket would look like grafted into the fender and hood. I'm not a fan of the space the two lights are taking up but I like what you did.
  7. Well I bought it! After sitting a year plus threw a battery in and she started right up! Runs ruff just like he said. Drove home a full 5 houses down the street! If anyone has any advice on this thread please PM me. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/es300-and-es330/628888-advice-needed-2001-es300-new-motor-or-fix.html
  8. Does POR last long on a turbine center section?
  9. Not saying you didn't read it but lot's of info in this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/49194-differential-cv-lsd-hp-torque-r160-r180-r200-r230-diff-mount/
  10. I liked this one, with a slight modification.
  11. Oh man, you should have stayed for the police. That would have been a fun one! With todays smartphones, this is where recording morons like this would come in handy, though this may have been before their time.
  12. This is a great angle, just needs to be clearer and brighter. In the spirit of fun, since you end up doing things over so many times on your Z car, please re-shoot it!
  13. Ouch, how old is your son? Mine is 17 but I have already predicted his accident will be exactly like this. I've actually been collecting extra front end parts for this very reason. That is one reason he is going to drive it butt ugly until I know he can handle simple driving.
  14. Workers, work and managers meet. In the corp I work for it seems that only those that can keep their mouth shut and are super politically correct (absurdly so) move up. I really like my postition so I really have no complaints, but when I look at all the meetings my manager and director are in all day long and back to back, to back, it just doesn't seem like fun to me at all. I always liked the saying "They rise to the level of their incompetence".
  15. Not sure if available but: http://www.zcar.com/for_sale_parts_accessories/1972_240z_front_and_rear_bumper_300_firm_903989.0.html
  16. What exactly are trying to accomplish by posting? This was 3 months ago? You were not there, you have no idea on his manerisms, nor what he said on the phone vs what he was doing to the car when I got there and that was before I even drove it. I am NOT experienced with GM cars, motors or transmissions. To state I was trying to "beat on it" is simply false. Ignorant, 100% agree. It was already VERY beat.
  17. The "ES" are front wheel drive. I "think" they quit putting the 2jz in the GS in the 93-98.
  18. On a side note, I picked this up from a garage sale for $184! I don't need it or really want it but I'm gonna flip it. It stopped running about a year or so ago. Guy wasn't sure why. I sprayed some starting fluid in her and she started right up! Was quite happy. It was funny, I bought if from a women who's boyfriend bailed on her a year or so ago! She could have cared less about it!
  19. My neighbor a few houses down has an 01 ES300 just sitting there. He's the original owner. Finally was able to get ahold of him and he was going to donate it! I figure he could right off $2K and would make 20% or $400 dollars back on his taxes. He said he would take $400 for it. He believes the motor is shot. Running rough and the dealer quoted him a $2K estimate to fix with some problem with the head? He wasn't quite sure. Interior is mint, still smells new, 150K mileage though. I'm gonna get it cause it's such a deal and see what comes of it. The cheapest running one I could find was 6K on craiglist. Any advice on the motor and known problems? I believe it 1MZ-FE 3.0L I6. Thanks!
  20. What is the process for the wiring harness and ECU swap? Is it fairly simple to incorporate?
  21. Have you checked LKQ in tampa? There are 2 ZX's in that yard as of last weekend. http://www.lkqselfserve.com/locations/LKQ_Self_Service_Auto_Parts_-_Tampa-180 They are expensive new, ouch: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/11-3460
  22. For what it's worth, I'm a little controlling and thought for sure my prior year donation expired prematurally. I placed a expiration reminder at work and it is exact to the day. Just thought I'd share. It's so worth the donation to skip the ads!
  23. In my 78 that was under similar conditions had a very rusty tank. Fuel pressure was good at idle but above that nothing and then popIng like your describing. Sitting that long I would be surprised if the tank is rust free. Also change your fuel filter or check it at a minimum.
