    240z gas tank

    Are the 73 that different?
  3. In the one pic where is the Weather stripping for the windshield? And paint the back of the hood! LOL!
  4. How is this area? http://www.countryinns.com/hotels/nynyquee Seems like a quick jump to the city. Thanks!
  5. Where would you guys recommend staying that is safe, reasonable, and close to things? Also, instead of staying right in the City, is there a good close area hotel wise, that could be access via public transportation? That way were not paying crazy hotel costs and parking. If you can't tell, were cheap. Which may not go well together with NYC as our destination.
  6. Family summer vaction planning going on. Looking for ideas for things to do in NYC. My Son is almost 16 and my daughter is almost 13. Likely one of the last with him due to his age. Also looking to go to some time of board walk in the area? Looking for those things we should definitely see. I've never been to NYC before myself. Probably 3 days in each location. Any thoughts / suggestions. Thanks
  7. Very nice. I'm not sure If I hate you more because you have one or because you have the space to put one!

True, but if he swapped the auto flex plate and the flywheel and didn't remove that little bushing .... can you expound on the fitment issue other than it just won't fit? Issues getting lined up, bolt pattern, etc.
  9. The seat belts reminded me of the 240z. Even the way you adjusted the slider to tighten them.
  10. Agree on not driving in the rain but to each his own. Regardless, thanks for posting this I have water on my 280z floorboard as well. Something good for me to check as my car has some rust issues.
  11. Are you looking for a project? I would part with my 280z for $1000. Rust free it is not, but so few are. The rust is in the typial areas and I have all the pieces to weld in new metal for those areas. I am always looking for decent Z's and we (Central Florida) don't have them.
  12. I almost did the same trip for a 73 240z. I ended up finding a car locally, but I wish I still bought that car. That would have been an adventure. Good luck. Did you sell your Z?
  13. Does anyone have one of these they are not using? I just can't see the money they want for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Innovate-Exhaust-Clamp-Wideband-O2-Sensor-3728-NEW-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem483abc8a4cQQitemZ310223080012QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Thanks
  14. I'm aspiring to be an Admin! Good luck finding the information.
  15. So why not simply repeat the question in the same thread? Being that this a very old thread (2 years), that would bump it, not have people guessing and get the help you need.
  16. Was just doing some searching and realized I haven't seen Big-Phil around in awhile. Anyone know if everything is alright? I miss his videos and antics.
  17. Great! Local is always +++++++! I just picked up a fiberglass front Air Dam for $100 brand new! NO SHIPPING! Lady was even nice enough to drive it over from Tampa.
  18. This is my opinion, not bashing you in anyway. Your point is valid ONLY because this is important to you. (Email etiquette, written response). Your judging him based these two things, which one may not be important to him at all, and two, he may be incapable of having. (Don't know his education, background, age, etc., lots of factors). Lastly, you’re selling an item on Craigslist. Unless you have never sold something on Craiglist, EVERYONE knows to expect the dumbest, cheapest, ugliest, degenerate you have ever had the encounter of meeting with. If you’re looking for someone intelligent, sell them on eBay, but not always either.
  19. Thanks Paul. I had feeling it would be different. I didn't want to start testing on the 78 wondering why I was getting different results than those listed in the EFI bible. I would have really screwed things up! So for the future and those that may stumble across this thread, the diagnostic tests specicfically on Pages 45-71 in the EFI bible are only applicaple for model years 1975-1977.
  20. No worries at all. Appreciate any clarity. Your last question is my question, neatly put into one sentence! I see even my description "35 Pin Control Unit Connector" was understood as Pin 35. I wanted to run through all the tests as the car runs okay.
  21. I'm not sure on the confussion of my question. Let me retry. I have a 1978 280z, the EFI bible was written towards a 1975. I know the wiring harness and possibly the ECU are different. Is the 35 Pin Control Unit Connector, Plug that goes into the ECU different for a 78 than prior years? Pages 45-71 are used to trouble shoot and check specific components on a 75. Are these checks (tests) the same for the 78 due to the harness differences? As an example, I was pretty sure the AFM were different on the 78 then prior years?
  22. Searched for 'EFI bible 1978' and 'EFI bible 78' but found little information. I'm curious to the test performed on page 45 for the circuit testing. The EFI bible was based on the 75 and I know the 78 is a unique harness unto itself. Are the pin's the same on the harness for all the test? I'd hate to start testing with 1975 results only to find out they were wrong based on 1978 design changes.
