Whether or not its called a "pillar", my 78 has a piece that is removable that fits between the bottom of the roof and the rear of the door jam. Where as my 260's windows mount directly to the body of the car where the normal "pillar" would have been.
Anyone know where to get them? I believe the turbo manifold to turbos are m10x1.25 and the turbo to downpipe studs are m8x1.25 (wastegate housing removed). Id need 4 of the m10's and 7 m8's.
Thanks
Ill sell you a set of 2+2 windows for really cheap. Includes the front tabs and you could use them for your conversion.
As for weatherstripping, pre 280z had the weatherstripping on the quarter window opening. 280z'z have it on the window and the rear edge of the window.
I ended up just going to Schucks and got 2 ft of their goodyear 5/16" fuel injector hose, along with 12 fuel injector hose clamps. Make sure the clamps are for the 5/16" because they sell two different ones for 3/8 and 5/16. Total came out to around $12.
Saw that you listed a n42 intake? Thats not the one you had mocked up earlier in the thread.?. Seems like that was a nonwebbed with the egr blocked off.
Love the car. As for sidemarkers, the 280zx are alot slimmer, I believe the hyndaui accent's sidemarkers also are the same width and bolt pattern. (strait bolt in practically)
I started off by just installing the rubber on the glass. It is supposed to be tight and just takes a little work. I put masking tape over it as I went to hold it. After that slip in the metal trim, slide one edge under the rubber edge and then using a screwdriver pull the other rubber edge on. Thats what worked for me. You can then use the cord as described above.
Ill DEFINITELY be getting one when I get the motor together. Such a small price to protect a huge investment. But Id like to find out to start off what will get me in the ball park. I can to the fine tuning when the car is running.
