  1. Proxlamus- Do you have a stock radiator, and whats the thickness on the IC.
  2. Are they like the floors on US cars up till 76? Im going to put amps in the space between the floor and the fiberboard. Maybe Ill stash some other stuff in there too.
  3. I thought about you Stealth when I saw it. I was pretty sure yours was RHD.
  4. Yeah I debated between the aero and fab. What I got from reading the data was that you need to let as little as possible air go into the engine bay. By opening only the bottom I was hoping to grab air that would have gone below the car, and the rest would go over or around the car. The less air that goes into the engine bay the less lift on the front end. If your able to create lower pressures in the engine bay the front end will be "sucked" to the road. I will also have a ledge that sticks out below the air dam to route more air into the radiator, like 240hokes. That was my backing for my idea. Hopefully someone that was there will chime in.
  5. Just thought everyone would like to see this, If you need some RHD parts. In georgia, Id buy it if it was closer to sell the parts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Right-Hand-Drive-Datsun-280Z-2-2-1978-Project-Car_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6783QQihZ003QQitemZ130180273779QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
  6. Check the group buy section if youd like to get some. $23.00 shipped.
  7. Yeah I had seen that but couldnt find it. Isnt all the data down right now? Like I said Ive never really driven the car and have no idea if it runs hot or cool. Im thinking of leaving below the bumper open and then set it up where I can just block off the radiator with sheet metal however much I need. If it runs cool, block off a few inches, etc. Im having to consider how an intercooler would come in to play also. Im hoping to turbo the car in the summer. Any thoughts? Could the intercooler sit in front of the radiator? Wouldnt an intercooler need more then a 2x8 opening?
  8. No ideas? My plan was for everything below the bumper to be open. Any thoughts?
  9. Well Im going to be working on closing off the radiator opening this winter. Sadly Ive never driven my Z over 30mph or in traffic so Im not sure how much of the radiator will be needed to keep it cool. I know the weather, engine specifications, radiator type, and fans all are variables but Id just like to see what everyones opinion was. Ill try to get some picture of the design up later. Have a pretty good plan on how it will be made. The car will have hood vents, fender vents and has a front urethane air dam so hopefully the air going in will get out pretty quickly (better cooling). Thanks Heres Proxlamus's thread on this subject: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=122197
  10. Good motor. There has been a thread or two about this, try a search. Didnt these motors come in the Merker? A Merker would make a nice v8 swap!
  11. What size tires is everyone running? Im thinking a 16x8.5 0 offset, with a 225/50/16. Not sure what rim just been thinking about size. I talked to bubbleguniea and he said there was a little more room on a 2+2. He made a thread a while back that has pictures of them on his car (car on jacks) your able to see the tires nicely.
  12. Whats more fun, blowing something up in your back yard or at a controlled blast area that you are hiding in a bunker? Its more fun if you do it where you arent supposed to.
  13. Like a strike? Picket for Ernie to come back. Ill make signs.
  14. See you just gave your story away!! Same things going to happen to you, you'll have the po-lice at your door with this quote on a piece of paper. I dont think "it wasnt me" will work again.
  15. I need some clarification, he left at his own will right? Why cant he post? This site needs some "cleansing", to bad you cant screen all the rtards that get on HBZ. RacerX was a real benefit to the site.
  16. Only reason I dont like them is because Im jealous I dont have a Lamborgini. At least they did it in really safe conditions. But they are kinda stupid for putting it on you tube. Id make it where you couldnt see the car color, or anything that might give them away. Ive seen many people on hybridz post videos of them racing in heavy traffic, thats a no no.
  17. Looks good, I like the red and yellow for some reason. Im guessing someone is a photographer? I like the first one, maybe a little closer?
  18. Another way to think of it is how hard would it be to break internal parts If you were to launch a car on jacks. (wheels off ground) compared to on its wheels. When jacked up it weighs nothing.
  19. Im guessing that a rod failure could damage the head? Will the head be easily fixed if something was to be damaged?
  20. Anyone hurt? Thank you for your service, it sad that people are so unsupportive of all our troops over in Iraq. Stay safe!!
