  1. Yeah, your right. The twice pipes are side by side. Im pretty sure MSA used to sell the over under style... Ill try to remember where I saw them.
  2. Check MSA. thezstore.com
  3. I know this is old but I thought Id mention some useful info... Im not sure as to how it affects "performance" or "efficiency" when operating properly, but I think it is having a negative effect on most of our 30+ year old cars. If you take the time to cut off the rear egr port and see whats inside youll know what Im talking about. Ive cut several off and as soon as its cut off I have a nice pile of carbon powder/chunks on the workbench. Alot of it. My best bet is alot of this doesnt just sit in the egr rail its whole life. Even though the egr valve is closed while your cruising or at partial throttle, I think all of that junk is still going into the engine. So im guessing this obviously has an affect on combustion but wont it also affect the life expectancy of your valves or even your turbo. Also, Tony are the Euro components mostly transferable? Seems like they got the good stuff.
  4. Hey, did you have this on craigslist for awhile or did you buy it off craigslist? It had a pretty cool front end to start off. I really wanted to buy it when I saw it on craigslist.
  5. Were the "bump"stops installed? As mentioned earlier there is also a spacer that goes between the shock and the gland nut. They reccomended something like 5-6mm gap between the strut tube and top of the gland nut when torqued to 90 ft/lbs. I bet it could be slapping around in the strut tube.
  6. Its hard to tell but it looks like the rear oil line coming out of the sandwich plate goes into the side of the oil cooler.
  7. Hey, sorry I forgot. Im leaving school right now. Ill check it when I get to the car. Ill post what I find when I get home.
  8. I didnt say its impossible just that when you weld up all the holes your left with different shades of aluminum. I personally wouldnt want a spotted intake manifold... Also what are your "guides"?
  9. Looks like it sits really high. Why does the rear valance sit over the top of the rear flares? Basically what your looking at is an extended front lip on the airdam, custom front turnsignals that mount in the stock position, 240z bumpers, extended and lowered rocker panels, ZG's, lowered rear end sheetmetal, custom taillights.
  10. You know he hasnt been on since august..
  11. I really like the upper grille portion, not so much the bottom. Keep up the good work!
  12. Get a hammer and knock it out. Then file/grind down the edges. Its really easy.
  13. Sorry, no can do... Its harder then you think. Its impossible to get the weld aluminum rod to be the same shade as the rest of the manifold. If your interested in a painted one let me know. Check with hughdogz. He polished an n42.
  14. I bought my first datsun when I was 10. It was a Datsun Pickup. A family friend was going to help me "fix it up". As I started to work on it some I found out it was expensive when your that age and I wanted something cool that I could put money into... say a sports car. Ended up friends of ours had bought a 78 280z 2+2 from the autoshow new and then let it sit for 11 years in their street. Gave it to another friend of ours who got it running and sold it to me when I was ~11. Bought it for $800 which was almost my entire lifes savings at the time. I just turned 18 a couple weeks ago and its almost done (havent driven it faster than 35mph or past the school parking lot across the street). 7 years is such a long time to put all your money into something and really see no fruits. Once its done Im sure it will be worth all the work and money... it better be.
  15. Look in your phone book, might have to get in the car and drive somewhere.
  16. Theres a set of snowflakes on ebay right now.
  17. Id make another increment below 15.
  18. Make a poll with increments.
  19. If you know what side of the oil cooler itself is the "in" side I can go trace the hose...
  20. Yes, but you have to use all the related components mentioned earlier.
  21. He wouldnt need turbo pistons depending on what he means by "low boost". I say do it right the first time, youll be much happier with it in the end.
