  1. Nice... Certainly not THAT nice. Good luck to him. I hope the buyer (if there is one) doesn't kill himself when he realizes it's actual value.
  2. I 3rd the way too much. But I paid way too much for mine, still haven't driven it, but i'm not kicking myself in the ass for the purchase...(yet). So if there's something about the car that really makes it special to you, go for it. Otherwise, buy a better example for a better price, $5500 will get you a lot of Z Car. $5500 puts you into the price range of an almost finished hybrid.
  3. Find the line for the fuel pump and install a toggle switch... You can either: Run wire from the pump to wherever you want your switch. (not a good idea) Or, I'm not sure which wire it is under the dash, but it's your best bet to look at a wiring diagram and wire the switch there. Just snip the wire and attach each end to the switch, nothing special.
  4. Go to some fiero forums and ask around. It's a popular swap for them, and lots of info exists. Sorry I don't have much info to offer myself. Keep in mind that the aftermarket isn't exactly cheap or plentiful for luxury vehicle motors.
  5. http://scranton.craigslist.org/pts/423643948.html Not mine, just giving you ford guys a heads up.
  6. My Homemade... Still needs a little finish work.
  7. First time I slipped and skinned a knuckle... "$%&@# POS!" Was born.
  8. Well I worked all last night, but It's not gonna make it. I'm pretty upset with myself, but this wiring kit seems to be a little more than I bargained for. I still need to finish up the wiring, get new rad hoses, and trans lines, then I can see if my brakes still work. I won't be coming to the meet today, as I'll be trying to at least finish up the wiring today. Have fun and post the pics. See you at the next one.
  9. Sorry to hear about the broken glass, blood and stolen radio. Karma is a bitch. Hopefully his hand will get infected and fall off.
  10. Did you tell them to sign up on HybridZ ? Good luck, and hope to see you in the future.
  11. That is an awesome Z. No title? or just not going to pass CA inspection? It'd be really sad to see that go unfinished. Please save it, or sell it whole to someone who can get it past inspection.
  12. That's what's being misunderstood here. The items would not leave the mods hands. They would be mailed only between mods and used at meets and such. For example, I would not be left alone with the items.
  13. So, Who's coming? I'll be there, and the Z looks like it's on pace to be there too. Lots of work left still, but I have wed, thurs, and friday to sort everything out and wrap it up.
  14. The mods here aren't gonna rip someone off for a set of scales that they have free access to anyway...
  15. I remember something like that going bad a while back. That's why I'd like to see the actual posession of these tools limited to trusted mods / admin. We have more than a few "bounty hunters" here that will go to extremes to track down people who take advantage of / try to cheat the system. Any ideas, edits, problems, ideas that would make this more foolproof? I don't expect anyone to go loaning out their own tools, that's why I think a community effort to get use of large ticket price, seldom used tools would be great. I think that with responsible hands guiding their use there should be a very limited chance of breakage, and repairs could be taken care of by the main fund. An example of use would be at our upcoming quad-state z-meet, or any other Z meet. An attending mod would bring it with them and supervise the use of it.
  16. Any mods interested in "hosting" a "toolbox"? The basic idea would be that as a community we could buy expensive limited use items a lot easier. They would be hosted by various admins and shipped to the part of the country where they are needed. For example: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecId=2485 Corner weight scales. I'm sure EVERYONE here wants to know exactly how much their car weighs. I'm sure NO ONE wants to spend $1,000 to find out. Process: 1.) Brainstorm for next purchase. 2.) We vote as a community to decide what is bought next. 3.) Goal is set. 4.) Contributions are made. 5.) Equip purchased 6.) Repeat. To use the equipment the member should either contact the hosting admin, or request in advance that the equipment be shipped to a different admin that is closer, or plans on going to a Z meeting close to that member. Obviously there are loose ends and possibility of corruption with this idea. I do think it is a valid thought though. Comments? Volunteers? Opinions?
  17. I'd like a hood that lines up for my $25k. Thanks.
  18. Wow... Glad to hear everyone made it out intact. That looks pretty bad. Go Tie Down Your Speaker Boxes! Looks like that one made it halfway up the car. Everyone thinks it won't happen to them...
  19. Looks good... Go for it. I don't see any reason why the fins would be anything other than straight.
  20. This page has all the pics, but it's as recent, 2006 and newer. Take a look at the first 10-15 pages (as old as 2002) and at least 1/2 of the pics and links are dead.
  21. I'm in. Is the final decision on location the park?
  22. I realize I'm digging up a thread that was started more than 5 years ago... Can we re-start this thread as a sticky with the pics hosted on the HZ site? There is so much info here that I'd love to see. Too bad, all i'm seeing is: x If you could start this up again, mods, I would certainly appreciate it. I don't want to start a new thread myself, because i'm sure i'll get moved to the trash along with 200 links to this thread. The thread was perfect, but none of the pics are here anymore.
