  1. here is a pic of my new intercooler, it is from XS engineering and the core measures 24x11x3. damn sure took up all the room in the front end!! http://www.geocities.com/shaneszt/index.html?1032746695529
  2. just thought i would let you know.
  3. try this http://www.racetep.com/frail.html
  4. you guys do know that you can buy that same kind of fuel rail from Top End right?
  5. wow i just dynoed for the first time ever friday. i have an SDS and about half way through the dyno session we lost the tach signal also. we were getting the signal from a plug wire too. they put a piece of reflective tape on the crank pulley and use some kind of a light that reads the tape. this is supposed to be more accurate. but it still did not work. we just thought there was something wrong with the dyno so most of my runs show MPH instead of RPM.
  6. [QUOTI told you it was friggin' rich, Shane!E] yeah i know, you can slap me next time. funny thing is the car destroyed the oil in about 500 miles and it still did'nt register that the car was soo rich. [QUOTsounds like you have a nice setup there shane! care to share a lil info on it? E] turbo motor with upgraded turbo, SDS, MSD 72lb injectors, 24x11x3 intercooler, and two upgraded fuel pumps. thats about it i think.
  7. put two new MSD pumps on thursday(they are only 75.00 each) this time they will not draw from the sump, but rather the stock pick-up location.
  8. O2 sensor is brand new. i just put all the settings back to what the unit had from SDS. this time i will have some help from a passenger and will not touch the map values untill the rpm values are right.
  9. well i found out that the SDS mixture meter is a little off. had it tuned to around 12.1 on the meter, but on the dyno the wideband showed it below 10.1!!! so my settings were so far off that after 30 pulls my dumbass still could'nt get the air fuel ratio right. time to start all over. the best numbers i could muster were 339 HP and 428 ftlbs of torque. this was at 21psi. still the stock motor and with an SDS with 72lb injectors. next up will be to disconect the actuator so the wastegate is open. then go out and make damn sure the RPM FUEL numbers are right with no boost. after that i will work on the MAP settings and start raising the boost. guess i will have to spend more dyno money next friday.
  10. yep brand new!!! just called fuel injection warehouse and was told that there is no pump that will draw fuel uphill at all. what a f'n JOKE!!!!
  11. well it looks like my 2 MSD pumps burned up oh and they had such a hard life pulling that fuel a whopping 6-8 inches uphill . if a pump cant pull fuel uphill it should not be sold as a fuel pump!! i have a weld-in sump in the bottom of my tank, so there is NO WAY to put a pump below it. all i need is something that does what it supposed to, suck fuel in one side and spit it out the other. is that too damn hard? anyone have any sugestions?
  12. i just bought that one, but with an XS engineering core. 24x11x3 it takes up ALL of the front end!! payed 720 for it FWIW
  13. well i love the RB and it would be my choice. but the supras can handle over 800HP on stock internals, i dont think the RB can handle that.
  14. question, i have not installed the knock sensor and will install it in the stock location. i dont think you are supposed to put it in the head, as there is alot more noise there. i thought the stock location would be fine. maybe not? could you adjust the sensitivity to make up for the extra noise?
  15. well i cant offer any ideas, but i am wondering what fuel you are running? my timming ramps up to 32 then i retard 1deg per psi boost. do you get any pinging with that timing? i am new at this and after seeing your post i am thinking of upping my timming also. heres a thought, are you running a knock sensor?? could that be going awol?? if you are running a knock sensor maybe it is seeing all kinds of knock and screwing with your timming. try turning the knock to zero maybe and see what that does.
  16. [QUOTBased on some of them, I should be asking for a spot. After all, low-tech, low-revving pushrod V-6 with a little "hairdryer" in a heavier car E] dont forget more cubic inches come on now Scottie, i was not dogging on your car in any way.
  17. technology is a bugger and well theres that V thing to ponder what technology is there in a pushrod V6??(sorry scottie just sticking up for the L6) hell the strongest motor out there right now is an inline 6(supra)

    CV adaptors

huh, all i did was a little trimming and a different seal, they went right in1 why do you need adapters??? yes this is in a 240 also.
  21. FYI that regulator is only 52.99 from summit racing. would ship on 9/1/2002.
