Everyone who might be looking at this thread please keep in mind this is some input I am getting for a manufacturer. I am not making any hoods myself in my garage or making some one off hood in a body shop. Hood ideas of what you would like or feel would best suite the car dont need to be existing hoods for the S30, they can even be other designs you have seen on other cars.

I will be taking this as the highest priority!!

Hey everyone just looking for some input on what you guys would like to see on a hood. As we all know the Z market is hotter than ever so I am conducting a little market research as to what you guys would like. Louvered, Cowl, Ram air ducts, etc. If you guys have any pictures of hoods on other cars as examples that would be much appreciated too. Want to thank everyone in advance for any input given.

Seibon products are a fiberglass backed carbon fiber. So the skin of the hood is carbon fiber with a fiberglass structure underneath. They do not make a hatch for the Z, just the hood.
-
KevvinG, Unfortunately I have long since sold the car and I am starting on a new project. They did make these available again though so hopefully we will start seeing them more often.

You can always call Seibon directly to order it if you are worried about purchasing it from someone online.

New twin Turbo BMW 6 cylinder 425 HP motors

That could also buy you a VR38DETT engine which would be much more desirable since its not only Nissan, but much more reliable and easier to make power. -

I believe Ariel from CPC is on these forums. Here is his thread of a billet manifold they were making for the L28. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/123401-billet-l28-intake-manifold-underway/?hl=%2Bbillet+%2Bmanifold Brad-ManQ45 Maybe he can chime in on this or you can message him directly for some more answers. -

If you somehow find it in a finished state when you get up then we can finally say that this build has consumed you enough to where your even started sleep wrenching. It will be a momentous occasion when this thing is finally running. I am just going to take the day off work and play the video on repeat all day. -

Every morning when I get to work I check this thread...I tell myself today is going to be the day, the day where Derek posts a video of this thing running. Needless to say that engine bay shot has got me all anxious to hear this motor. I'm sure I cant be the only one out there who religiously checks this thread first lol. -
Megan S13 coilover review after 7 years of use

I can take some measurements on the shaft of the Megan coilovers for the 280z. I have a set I never installed and its just sitting at home. -
Megan S13 coilover review after 7 years of use
rooger82 replied to 240zdan's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
It is not listed on their website but it is something they have made before. It is pretty funny I had talked to Odi Bakchis (owner/formula d driver) about the coilovers at SEMA. He said it was crazy how someone inquired about making one for an S30, then after that it was posted on a forum and he was getting a bunch of requests. So now they get orders on a regular basis but are not even listed anywhere. So give them a call and they should be able to give you a price and some info. -

I believe the coilovers I will most likely go with will be Feal although I will give Stance a look since i know its not one of the Taiwan brands. -

Would you say the Megan coilovers were a bad choice because you had fitted the 240sx coilovers onto your Z? Or just Megan Racing in general because of the quality of product? I ask this because there are versions of the Megan Coilover that are made specific for the Z now and are not S13 coilovers. -

So I have decided on the turbo route instead of doing an N/A build. Having trouble finding a stock L28ET motor that hasn't already been built by someone else. If someone can point me in the right direction to someone, hopefully in the Los Angeles County, that has a motor for sale that would be highly appreciated. I really don't want to go the route of buying it from one of the engine resellers online for 2-3 times what the street value is. Its ok if it doesn't have a harness, manifolds, turbo, and etc. And preferably something not already built up. I am frequently on during the weekdays so I should respond quickly. I haven't really set a budget on this so please show me what you have, but again I am looking for something bare bones. Thank you

New S30 D Brinkworth flare kit (New Installed Pics)
rooger82 replied to JPN_Garage's topic in Body Kits & Paint
I wonder if the Brinkworth flares can be modified, possibly molded on to make it look like an entire fender replacement. Also some fins added to sort of look like the 370Z RS-1 Fenders. I guess I would need someone to photoshop it or draw it out to see if it would actually make sense. -
I am using the wide ZG flares on my Z as well. I am at 16x9.5 -25 backspacing and I don't really have any clearance issues yet, so you should be good with the -19 backspacing on the wide flares.

That's a pretty big range of HP. The US K20 motors range from 148-210hp Hopefully this is on the higher end and somewhere near 300hp.
