  1. It would help to know the offset (backspacing) of the wheels to know how car the actual wheel will stick out.
  2. That is a very menacing engine bay. Like how the blue seems to match nicely with the blue on the 6
  3. From the other angle on his instagram it doesn't look like he damaged the flares, just the front part of his fender. But damn that's gotta suck
  4. Wow that engine bay looks great. I might consider using the same stuff.
  5. That sounds like a pretty Generic response on their end. Because they price all their coilovers the same way its really easy to just fill in the blanks with "Datsun 260z" Since there are Tawian manufacturers who make D2, Ksport, Megan, etc... I am sure the manufacturer already has the parts for the S30 chassis, but these weld in just like all the others. I am sure at some point they will get back to you saying that it will have to be a weld in application. Same goes with the big brake kits. They are just getting measurements to see if what they already have that will work for you.
  6. Sorry the wheels are Spinwerks 16x9.5 -25 front and -35 rear. Tires are 225/50/16
  7. Definitely looks better with the new pics. I see the price also went up to $780
  8. What do you guys think of the color. Thinking of changing it up a bit. That or the color of the car.
  9. I don't believe it really matters what dealer you go through to purchase this. It will be the same product from any dealer you get it from. No one is likely to have it in stock either since these days most shops don't stock items such as this. As far as asking them how to prep the hood for lacquer I don't believe they will really be able to tell you as their products are sold as ready to use out of the box, and are not actually manufactured here in the states by anyone who you are speaking to over there. I can recommend you to many different dealers if you would like as I am one of their Warehouse Distributors. Just let me know what area you are in.
  10. @OldAndyAndTheSea I believe some manufacturers often use just a Matte clear coat instead of prepreg fabric. This way they can achieve the look but also keep the costs the same. It would just be advertised as Dry Carbon Look. Just a thought in case you get some people who want to buy but don't like gloss.
  11. I have a set of Spinwerks wheels I have been thinking about parting with. They are 16x9.5 -25 and 16x9.5 -35 in a 4x114.3 Let me know if your interested.
  12. Great news have been anxious to hear an update for this. Will be saving for one of these as I am working on updating my interior. Looking forward to a clamshell to, with no gauge provision.
  13. Ok so I have been in contact with Bride recently and have been pushing for some of the Histrix seats that they used to make. They are not for everyone since I know these seats are more $$ than most want to spend BUT I also know there are some who have sought these seats for some time now. So just this week they have given me good news and are willing to make me a set. Now this is something that will be done for a short while so I am trying to see if there is any more interest to help bring down the price. They are supposed to get back to me tomorrow with a Retail price they will create and a discount level. They estimate it to be around $2000-$2200 retail for seat and I am shooting for $1800 for the group buy. Hope I am not violating any rules by gauging interest. Either way I will be ordering my seats soon. Feedback will be appreciated.
  14. I have been in the car show industry for some time now. The team I go with to shows has had a good sponsorship/relationship with Conti for several years. So we have always been talking to them, this opportunity just came up for the ad though and they picked my car along with some others to run these ads.
  15. Actually have a sponsorship through Continental so they hook me up with tires.
  16. If you are going 18's I would suggest going to 5 lug, but I believe there should be some pretty decent sizes still available at 4x114 in 17" Tires are plentiful and inexpensive in this size also. I have been debating going bigger myself but I just cant make up my mind on a set of wheels.
  17. Hey guys just wanted to share this. Pretty proud of getting some spotlight here. My car made it into a Continental tires ad (that's not me in the picture). Nice to see them giving some attention to the Japanese classics. The ad can be seen on the back cover of the February issue of Super Street Just wanted to share.
  18. If anything there will be more 15" and 16" options in a couple years. It seems there is a increase in the Japanese nostalgic market for the tuner crowd especially with some of the late 80's early 90's cars now being almost considered "classics". If you notice in the past year there are a lot more small wheel companies making 15" and 16" wheels in near 0 offset which compliments the Z nicely as long as they make a 4x114.3 (most have universal 8 lug) Tires though, now that one is a bit more limited if your using any wheel wider than 9 inches.
  19. I have a set of 16x9.5 -35 and 16x9.5 -25 that I picked up like a year ago. Not really that expensive, ended up being like $1000
  20. I bought my set of Spinwerks from Bisimoto. I don't see them on their site anymore so I don't know if they still sell them. Try giving them a call.
  21. Oh man how have I not seen this thread before. OldAndyAndTheSea amazing job your doing and nice write up, I was always curious about the fiberglass process. I cant wait to get my hands on a console and clamshell.
  22. @Mikelly I believe they are making new fiberglass parts to give the car a different look and not necessarily focused on "aerodynamics" but more for styling.
  23. oh man, looking forward to getting this. Hopefully its not way up there in price. Is the hood being made as well? Any rear spoiler to match?
  24. If one of the parts being developed was shown on a facebook teaser then sign me up for one.
