  1. They look great. I am looking to go similar sizes very soon as well. Finding tires does suck xD might end up going 17"
  2. You should contact companies that specialize in refinishing wheels rather than making their own wheels. You can try contacting Wheel Flip in Santa Fe Springs, CA they specialize in stuff like this.
  3. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, I will see if I can find a higher resolution image. The wheels are Spinwerkes 16x9.5 front and rear I am thinking of going wider to fill in the fenders.

  5. How do we get a hold of Juan, I cant seem to find contact information for his company anywhere. I am interested in the control arms as well.
  6. Wow I have never seen these flares, I am glad you posted this thread I was having trouble deciding which to get. Looks like its gonna be these
  7. Believe those are the ones that are sold on www.Datsunpartsllc.com check it out, they seem pretty good quality
  8. Update on this one. Looks like Motovicity Distribution over in Michigan has decided to take over the assembly and distribution of Tokico. So looks like we should see shocks going back into the market in just a few months.
  9. I would definitely be interested in seeing the Rocket Bunny style adapted to the Z. The open wheel flares and rear body panel would look great.
  10. Take a look at the pictures here. You can see the ridges on the inside part, as well as where its indented for the emblem on the 432 style. The Victory one is a bit taller and it is smooth without any ridges or indents http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic02a01e/50-1611
  11. Well they are searching for a company to house the line, so doesn't look like Santa will be that kind this year, sorry Maybe some more news will come out of SEMA
  12. Ya I am also hoping for a 17" option soon. Everyone should call so they get more inquiries
  13. the Star Road Wheels are nice, but they only come in a 15" I would get them but it wont clear my BBK's The SSR Mesh wheel will only have a step lip option on the 19" and a reverse lip on the 16"
  14. This is their initial release of the wheel. I am sure they will make 17" and 18" soon since it will also fill some popular fitments
  15. Just a heads up for some of you guys out there looking for some new wheel options. At SEMA SSR will debut the return of the Formula Mesh and Reverse Mesh wheel. As far as I know it is being released in a 19" and 16" size The 16"s will go all the way up to 10.5"-11" wide As far as options go they will receive the same treatment as other 3 piece wheels they carry so there is a lot of range of disk types, offsets, and lip sizes I will post more as soon as I get home, I forgot to bring all the info to work today. I would say this is a win for the Japanese Classic community as it gives us another option for flared or aggressively fitted Z's
  16. We have all seen the infamous Rota failure but that could be in an extreme situation, I doubt he will ever hit anything that hard. Plus the same can be said with any Cast wheel. You can lookup Gram Lights failing, XXR failing, even Enkei failing (Japanese made) You can actually search and see there are Diamond Racing horror stories too. Remember that is a race wheel, a lot of those teams buy many sets and when they bend or break them they just replace them with another wheel. That is why they are so inexpensive. Spinwerkes I have not seen any bad reviews from, they are actually not as heavy as Diamond racing and do come in 17" even though they are not listed (I asked them) but it costs a bit more than what you wanted to budget
  17. I am currently running a 16" wheel but I slightly grinded the top of the caliper and when the wheels were made I had to measure the inner diameter to be sure they fit. The caliper clears the hub with no problems. My brake kit was installed by R Rated Motorsports so I am not too sure on the procedure of extending the parking brake but I'm sure someone a bit more knowledgeable on that can chime in. I am using the Stage 3 front kit from Datsunparts llc as well. Make sure your using a proportioning valve with them to get the brake bias correct,
  18. I have this kit installed in the rear. I think I was one of the first few to get it, was originally thought that 16" wheels would be ok but that was not the case. No issues with anything so far and I have had them on for at least 6 months now Unfortunately I have not tried another brake kit so I cant compare it to anything. The picture on the site with the black caliper is actually my setup.
  19. @dpuma8 you will definitely need something with a negative offset if you will be using a 16x8 otherwise they will only fill out the stock fender. Unfortunately XXR doesn't make a more aggressive offset than 0.
  20. That ones a 16x8.25 +0 That particular car is mine so I hope I remember the sizing correctly.
  21. I probably should have searched this before in case there was anything written up about it. But have you considered trying Whiteline bushings instead of the polyurethane ones. They use a "Synthetic Elastomer" which is supposed to not squeak or groan according to them. Also they don't require regreasing. I think I might try them out since my Energy Suspension bushings are beginning to annoy me.
  22. Sorry I don't have a clearer pic but here is what I have on me at the moment, I am at my work computer. Kind of dark around the wheels so I will try to get a clearer pic but hope you can at least make some of it out
  23. ls240z for this size they run $299.00 per wheel. You can also opt to get them powdercoated from the factory for $75 a wheel or anodized for $70 a wheel. I work in the wholesale part of the industry so I was able to save on taxes. So it was $1200 total. (I didn't have to ship them)
  24. Online they list 15.8lbs for a 16x9.5. I will verify when I get home tonight if that is correct.
  25. Going to test fit these bad boys tonight. Spinwerkes 82 series 16x9.5 -32 16x9.5 -25
