  1. Klearz used to sell them. Looks like NLA.
  2. Sets are available through techno toy tuning. You can buy replacement lenses online to change the colors to euro spec colors.

    OBX LSD R200

its hard to get an LSD for a cheaper price, and most people rebuild it anyway.
  4. PM sent as to not derail M Motorsports thread any more.
  5. My project from last weekend. As a result, may have a booster for sale.
  6. S13 front swaps have been done in other build threads on here if you look. And I don't mean just swapping the coilovers with a weld-in threaded collar. The problem with those swaps (and likely this one) is that none of them adjust the changes in Ackerman by switching the knuckles from a rack behind the axle to a rack in front of the axle. Obviously unless the project involved swapping a rear mounted rack also. One build thread did extensive modification to the knuckle to correct the Ackerman. As was pointed out, such a swap can offer many potential benefits down the road. This kit uses different brakes, but Z32 aluminum calipers, vented rotors, and 5 lug swaps are bolt on for these or S14 spindles.
  7. He was refering to my unedited / incomplete post that said simply "You need the inverse of an R200 swap", which still has all the answers, just vague.
  8. What did you end up doing? I'm about to pull the trigger and do megasquirt, but still considering a pnp AEM swap with a wiring specialities harness
  9. 1) Will the my mustache bar mate up to the STI R180 without modification or do I need to get the mustache bar out of a '77 - '78 automatic car which came with an R180? You need the inverse of an R200 swap. Therefore you need an R180 S30 (70-78 with R180) mustache bar. 2) Will the input flange from my stock R200 fit the input splines of the STI R200? If not, what did you do to mate up with the driveshaft of the manual transmission car? I don't know about your R200 pinion fitting. I would guess it wouldn't, but only thing you can do is try. You would need an S30 R180 pinion flange. An R200 280z driveshaft isn't required for the swap in a 240z, so you shouldn't need a different driveshaft for the STI R180 assuming you get a Datsun pinion flange to fit. However, it would probably end up more cost effective just to have your driveshaft modified to fit the STI diff rather than source a Datsun R180 flange if the R200 one doesn't fit. 3) Are there any other issues one needs to tackle to get the STI R180 to fit into the 280Z? Axles / axle stubs Mustache bar Pinion Rear cover? Lemme check photos on the rear cover studs...
  10. If you kept the geometry but went with custom framing which moves the inboard arm attachments more behind the axle line it could work, but would still require upper arm clearance.
  11. I've looked into Miata double wishbone. You would have to cut out more undercarriage than the 240sx swaps and it would require custom upper arms because the upper inner arm pivot is about 3 inches inboard and a few inches below the stock frame, so the arms would need to be "notched" when looking front to back to clear the z chassis or the z tire well would need to be removed to allow arm movement on bump.

    OBX LSD R200

It's also discussed in the various OBX threads on this site.

They don't sell one for the 280z / 280zx. It will fit, but the ring gear bolts are a different size. You'll need bushings for the bolts. That's documented in the pinned differential thread / elsewhere.

  16. Aside from some static camber adjustability, what advantage is there over existing weld-in coilovers and damper inserts? I don't see a cost advantage, because beyond the kit cost (which incidentally also requires cutting and welding of the strut) you also would need to buy S13 struts which are almost exclusively sold as a 4 piece set so the rear ones are trash/waste, and all except for the cheapest of the coil over sets cost more than a decent set of dampers and weld in coilovers. You could add in camber plates too and still come in under the cost of this setup. With no difference significant difference in install difficulty.
  17. I believe the R180s with a K stamped on the case have a different inner diameter on the ring gear. There was a guy in SoCal who was recently selling an 06 sti diff in the 300$ range. 06 would be a clutch type with 3.54 gears.
  18. It's not a direct fit, but I have a spare Z32 finned cover if you're interested. The cover to case bolts are in the same position. The rear mounting bolts (mustache bar bolts) are farther apart which would require a modified mustache bar. The mounting surface is about 1/2" closer to the case which could be solved with a simple spacer between the cover and the mustache bar.
