  1. I love that your driving to work! Sounds great to me.
  2. Good job Keith, I know you have been really careful and thought this through the whole way. I know you are going to love it! Mike
  3. I saw this on LS1tech.com. Supposedly in a test done by Sixspeeds inc, the RP degrades the stock blocker rings in a T56 over time. IIR they do recommend it in other trans and T56's with upgraded blocker rings.-Mnoel
  4. Did a little more looking- it seems that Royal Purple may eat stock blocker rings. Won't be changing to that.
  5. I'm just running Mobil 1 and dexron in the trans. I have been reading and may change the trans to Royal Purple- supposedly shifts better?
  6. I need a left front rubber corner for my 78 Z that someone thoughtfully destroyed in a parking lot. Luckily no other damage. PM be if you have one you'd like to sell. Thanks, MIke
  7. Hey Keith, sorry, been away for a while and don't have my diagrams with me. I do know that you do not need to hook up the speedo output from the cpu. I originally tried that but it will not drive the CableX. Use the vss out from the trans (and T-splice into it so it still goes to the CPU so it will make your speed limiter and reverse lockout work properly) to go to the CableX box +. Good luck, Mike
  8. Sorry it has taken so long to respond. I can't tell any difference in ride at all. They seem to be a bit noisier at really low speed-5mph or so. After that I can't tell any difference there either. It does seem more responsive and better through bumpy corners. Mike
  9. I didn't get a receipt for the brakes or the LCA's either. I haven't had much luck with e-mail either but when I call he's been great to talk to and get quick shipping. I had a rod end on my LCA's that creeked unbearably (weird) and he emailed me when he sent out a replacement priority mail no charge. I'll probably buy his front LCA's one of these days, and can't wait for him to finish the parking brake kit.
  10. Can't tell for sure, or guarantee anything, but they look at lot like mine. They were from Turn 6 and I got them in the mid-eighties. They were yellow then. Still have them on my 78. Although My front is larger than the rear. Mike
  11. Deja, been watching your car since I joined the forum. It's always been really nice but I think you made some terrific improvements. Mike
  12. No crap, Just wish there were a road course less than 8 hours from here. I can tell you that the new axles have completely eliminated vibration from hard acceleration.
  13. LOve these brakes! After doing the suggested bedding in, thought my eyes were going to fall out.
  14. Finally got it all back together. The "while I'm at it bug" caused me to order and install LCA's from Dave at Arizona Z. I didn't put the sway bar back on until the alignment was done. I had to shorten the link Dave supplied about a half inch, but no other mod's needed. By the way, his LCA's are really nice and have so much adjustability. And only took about 20 minutes a side to install- and no more spindle pins!
  15. Soaking my dog in gasoline MAY have helped.
  16. So, after some 32 years my mustache bar bushings were pretty much shot. I ordered new ones from Energy Suspension. Of course the old ones need to be "de-bonded" with heat. I don't own a torch-so what to do? I found that using the burner for our turkey frier works great! Only took about two minutes a side and they came right out. I performed this task in the frozen waste-land that is our back yard. After the stuff cooled I thought I picked it all up and threw it away. About 12 hours later one of our golden retrievers found a piece of the tar-like rubber goo and proceeded to roll in it. When she came in, my wife said she could smell burned rubber. Then we saw the dog. What a mess! Bathed her for over an hour and still haven't got it all out. But the mustache bar looks great.
  17. Going to try going back under the axels and shorten the links a little. I'm sure that will work when the car is not in full droop. I also think while I'm at it I'm going to order rear LCA's from ArizonaZ. Putting in new mustache bar bushings as soon as they get here.
  18. I recently installed Wolf Creek's half shafts and now I can't get my old rear sway bar (Turn 6 circa 1985) to fit without interferance. I've flipped it over to go over the half shafts, tried different length end links, etc. but can't figure it out. I'll purchase a new bar if I need to but wan't to make sure it fits. Any help would be appreciated. Mike
  19. That 4th line is from the charcoal canister back to the tank. I believe most people have eliminated it. I chose to use it with the stock evap setup on my engine.
  20. Same story here. Got the new brackets for the hand brake so it will be easier to install when Dave gets the kit completed. He told me he sold the suspension from under his car, so he can't test the kit. Hopefully it won't be too long- just a couple more weeks lol!
