  1. Yeah, when I ordered the calipers Dave told me that I would have to add a spring. That has about been the extent of the instructions. I haven't started building my brackets yet but my plan is to put a compression spring over the cable between the lever and bracket. Hope to get started on the brackets this week.
  2. So, I started on mine this weekend, but discover my right axle adapter to hub was loose. I've checked this often since putting in the wolf creek axles and having one come loose. Haven't had a problem since then but went to an autoX last weekend for the first time in many years. Eight hard runs on the airport tarmac must have done the trick. No missing nuts but all on the outside right were loose. So new bolts, type C locking nuts, red locktite, and lock washers. Maybe this will do the trick. Anyway, I started mocking up some brackets for the e-brake cables. I believe the stock cables give me enough travel, but may be too short to route the way I want to go. I'd still like to see the pictures xtreme240 promised
  3. Guess it will be a few more days before I get started on this project- Dave only sent me hardware for 1 side.
  4. Wolf creek racing has some pretty nice CV axles also.
  5. I would like to see your pics of your set up! Thanks, Mike
  6. I finally received my Az Z parking brake calipers about a week ago. Been too busy to install them but they look nice. Dave painted them red, I would have preferred them un-painted. When I get around to the install, i will post some pics and let you know how it goes. Should get started next week.
  7. I love the look of your dash lighting. Doesn't look like your wipers would be worth a damn at 140 though. Ha. Nice job on the whole car.
  8. My parking brake calipers are on the way from Dave right now.
  9. I really like my Willwood setup. While we don't have a track anywhere near here, I would not expect to have any issues with the pads or rotors for a weekend at a track. I think with proper fluid and cooling ducts they would last many sessions.
  10. Keith, Congrats on the great numbers. Pretty high for a "stock" LS2 from what I've seen. About the same as Mas280's with a cam and small crank pulley. Keep posting all your fun.
  11. On my 280, it is possible to plug the ignition connector in upside down, which does cause similar issues.
  12. been watching this since you started. Congrats. Its members like you and projects like this that made this forum and keep improving the old Z. It is called HybridZ after all.
  13. heres a pic of what I have. Mike
  14. I just took mine off yesterday to install a new Arizona Z bar. I have energy suspension bushings to be included-the old bushings have been removed- make me an offer. I can have it shipped monday or tuesday.
  15. This was my experience also. I found that the hose from the 05 GTO donor was just a little long, but the right shape, so I cut it down a little and it worked great.
  16. I have the A4's in my 78 280. Have had them for 8 years now. I did have to modify the brackets a little. Had to re-drill the mounting holes and ad tabs for the front. Was pretty easy and I love the seats. They do fit pretty high and limit head room. When the seats are cold, my head just brushes the head liner. When the seats warm up just a little,my butt sinks in and I have just enough room for a helmet. I'm 5'11". I could probably bash the hump and get them in a little lower with more modification to the brackets, but I am pretty happy the way they are. I've spent some 10 hour days in them and find them very comfortable. Mike
  17. Ok, I'm impressed, whine away.
  18. I can't believe how much you guys whine about the cold. It was 20 degrees inside my garage when we wired my car. I can believe it runs at all. That was when I decided to finish insulating and heat my garage. Never below 55 in there now, and it will heat up to 70 in about 10 minutes.
  19. Hey Keith, Just wanted to know how hard it was to drop the trans with the engine in the car?
  20. I used the pump from John's I received with the kit, but I don't believe it was the same one you have. Mine had no markings on it at all that I can find. It worked fine- good fuel pressure at all RPM's, but I found the Walbro to be somewhat quieter, especially on hot days.
  21. I'm pretty sure the stock limiter is at 6600. My tuner raised it to 6800. I hit it a lot when I first started getting on it. It comes on really fast. First run at the track I hit it in first, second and third. It is also very abrupt. Scared me at first. Now I never hit it. Getting your tach hooked up should help. Keep having fun, Mike
  22. I love that your driving to work! Sounds great to me.
