Yea i wana get a diff and weld it my self now that i understand how it all works.... but im goin to japan in about 2 weeks and am gunna have to head up to upgradge and see if i can snag a R32 CLSD..... and mount that bitch in my z... lol its a R200 i really dont see a big problem in mounting it mabe some custom mounts and stuff but do able...

Is that caused my rings are done? When i start my car and let it sit to warm up and give the motor a little juice it has a nice cloud of white smoke with a blue tint... i was thinking blown headgasket but if that was the case then wouldnt my oil be milky and my coolent res. be empty, and my car be over heating like crazy? Another thing i noticed my car backfires alot more any idea what tha could be? When i engine break i get back fires that no joke sound like gun shots... im runnin a straight pipe if that makes a diffrence.....

You can get a 350 sbc that works for 200$?

Yea i went over this topic before and a guy i was talkin to that actully owned a Rally 240z in cali told me when he welded his diff in his z the big problem was turning and yes he did drive this everyday would he recomend if u dont have $$$ to fork out for an lsd yes would i do it yes as long as i have a spare Diff just incase...

if ur just gettin rid of it and dont feel like goin through hell to take it to a shop so they can relese the system u can "cut" the lines, but word to the wise ur most likly dumping out R12 and if you are cought big fine.... just my .02$

What kind of lsd are you using? i was planning on modding a R32 Clsd for my 280zx.... im runnin opendiff and its hard to slide her out.... with out the help of the clutch and steering wheel....

Ive been asked many a times and i want to know the deal now... when i got my z it had datsun 280zx wrighting on the door pannes or maybe its 280zx but i was told by some old guy the door pannels are rare only one in a few 100 made i want to know if this is true or just a lie....

tell me about it one of my friends told me he raced a 240z in his 213whp 7 and the 240z didnt have much done just ms and exhaust i think.... lets just say he wants a z now.... and ps... the race was up hill... said the z took him by about 2 semis lol!

Im sorry that you are not Mr.Mechanic but still man do you know what a dip stick is? lol.... seriously if your asking questions like this i really dont think you should be "modding" your car..... yes you can slap on a turbo, dam you can slap a turbo on about dam near anything... And reading and having some under the hood time will do you good man... grab a soda and start reading once you get a majority of the basics down you can expand from that and answer your own questions like if i run a turbo with stock NA injectors i will run lean and possably cause detination or things like that.... just me .02$

hahahah dammit well i have the fastest in my school i pulled my tranny replaced the clutch fork and made a push pin for the slave and reinstalled everything and fluids with in and hr and 20 min lol.....

Yea when i got me zx it sat for about 6 months in there and the tranny was shot i replaced the tranny and had the same problem most likly like actully 90% its one of the 2 slave or master cylinder and since u said its been sittin for 4 years yea even more so.... but long story short go to autozone or what ever get a new one and be done with it dont fanagle ur self... its like 80bux if that.... do your self a favor and when changin fluids i put in some lucas oil additive amazing how good that stuff works....

i test there drul pick up ability... lol when i sleep.... man almost everything in there is cool to watch to break lol most of the time its from a person messin up and they drop an item or some ♥♥♥♥ lol good stuff!

yes very much so its basily if u wana think of it as a giant rotor when u get new pads or shoes do you resurface or get new rotors or drums? The answer i hope is yes.... because if you dont get the flyresurfaced u can have a brand spankin new clutch but it will slip like a bitch.....

Where did you mannage to get those rims? When i go to japan my uncles friends that have bosozuku cars run crazy ass lips and offsets one of the 240zg's i saw out there ran 14X10 i was like omg... and it had what looked to be a freakin -541165116161 offset.... can you point me in the right direction for deep dish wheels like the mesh ones you had on your z?

no its gotta be a short some where door shuts fine no light inside comes on or n e thing.... so im assumin theres a short or somethin...
