  1. Cool I will have to print that out and paste it to my windshield at car shows.
  2. agreed. David, didnt you just recently post some crap about american jobs?....hmmmm a thread that you have yet to respond to as well. The pot calling the kettle black. ...but in other news. thats just unhealthy, so much so that im surprised she is still alive. *shiver* thats just nasty.
  3. wow. I dont think ive ever seen that before. I also would expect a Halfshaft to go before the driveshaft. *goes to summit catalog to order drive shaft loop. 8)
  4. spirit garage sells CF hatches. If i recall correctly, they cost around 1200.00$ spendy!
  5. hey mike, thats the colour that my 240Z used to be. sometimes I wish I kept it that same colour. its kinda unique, and when its shiny (it seems like yours is) it seems to git the first gen very well. anywho, cant wait to see your car done. or mine for that matter.
  6. good god S30Z Bushido! thats freekin beautiful. I really like the idea of the S30 gen front on a S13 as well. when I first saw those pics i searched for days trying to find out if thats a one off thing or a production body kit. it would be lovely for a daily driver/ modern 240Z! sazweet!
  7. ive got an extra headlight bucket, consider it yours.
  8. wait a minute, He bought the item outside of ebay and never actually one the auction with his user name? if so than he cant leave feedback anyway. but as the others said, when you have a business you are going to run into those customers that you can never satisfy. your ebay add was more than clear and the pictures back that description up. I also feel for you on the shipping charges being more than expected, its tough to box up some large item just to get told at the P.O. that its 30$ instead of the 20 you told the buyer it would be. it sucks but in order to be a good seller, you have to eat that cost. So many buyers dont understand this I will not even consider that you did a honest thing for them. if he is that intent on sending them back, tell him that you will accept that, but you will not refund the shipping costs, and he must pay all the shipping back to you. thats more than fair. but probably not for him.
  9. woo, thats thinking big, and dreaming big as well. Developed countries need those third world countries to stay just that. lets say you take a country like Algeria in Africa. you've got a country thats torn the fark up from post colonialism, it also happens to have a great deal of natural resources that the developed world needs/wants. if your the US and your businesses need the cheapest possible materials so they can build things as cheap as possible, are you going to institute fair labor laws there? No your not. if you do so, you might make the standard of living a little higher there, but at what cost to your own voting public (or CEO campaign supporters) when that country starts to pay its workers more, the cost of those materials go up, and the final product goes up as well. its all about the good life here, but not for those countries that our businesses here and abroad depend on. ah yes! hypocrisy! how bout Levis, they just moved all operations to china. smart move on their part, not only can they keep the price the same WHILE making more money, but they get to move into a market completely void of workers comp and labor unions. its the USs own sue happy citizens that cause some of these problems. look at California! How many businesses have to move into Nevada before they do something about the laws there. anywho, this problem could be discussed for days, lets not even bring the world bank or IMF into this. GEEZ!
  10. Forgive me on my last post, it wasn’t meant to be a "that’s the way it is" or "that’s how it should be" statement. Pete, Its not about people in general, what I should have specified was that anyone looking for said "high paying job" isn’t going to get it without some kind of education. Be it a tech school, or state school. And its not how much money you have lying around. My schooling here costs me 2,500 a semester, and this is at decent well-known school. I’m a resident so of course its cheaper, but if you add in books, and lets say that jumps to 3k, then its 24k for 4 years ( a rough estimate i know) but that’s still not bad, and that’s still something that a lot of people could pay for if they just make it happen. (Plus with my low paying job I get a little tuition reimbursement as well) And in no way in my previous post did I suggest that everyone is going to go to school. There are plenty of people that will work for wal-mart and taco bell for the rest of their lives making 8$ and hour keeping the system afloat. Oh I agree, don’t get me wrong. The govt keeps a lot of the companies in the states for that very reason, but still, since the early 60s the US had been losing a substantial amount of its manufacturing jobs to other counties ( a more recent event would be NAFTA). and since that point in time people have always been screaming "keep jobs in America" fearing that the economy would collapse, but it never happened, other jobs spring up. but I agree that this trend cannot continue forever. (or that much longer) There will always be some form of low/middle paying jobs as long as you have an upper/middle class that can spend their disposable income on things. Even in this country there is poverty, and its that poverty that keeps the local economy stable. It’s the same model that works for the entire world. The rich (US) will take advantage of the poor (Mexico) in order to keep your peoples rich all the while telling Mexico to "work hard and someday you’ll be just like us, you can thank NAFTA for that, sign right here please" At one point in time people where saying that "this country is an agricultural economy, and if we keep getting undersold by Mexico (or who ever) than this country will die." No more cheap cotton! Now we are in the end of the manufacturing era. So what’s next? I have no idea, I like you don’t have all the answers, as a matter of fact I don’t have any really. Actually, I take that back. I do know one thing; the US can kiss its "number one" economy goodbye. there’s a old dog on the block and its got some new tricks. That dog is China, and its going to give the world a rude awakening. So Anywho...that my opinion, if it must be flamed than so be it.
  11. ok then, I tell you what, why dont we stop trade with all forign countries, and just have US workers manufacture everything we use. oh, dont forget about the labor unions that will be getting involved. sounds good doesnt it. well, im sure that will sounds great when your paying out the ass for everything because joe schmoe doesnt build calculators for less than 12$ an hour. or his wife doesnt assemble that shirt for less than 10$ watch out inflation, and kiss the buying power of your dollar goodbye. the only reason why the us has a strong economy, and you can play with Zcars, is the fact that underdeveloped countries (aka thirdworld) supply a steady stream of cheap labor. your goverment makes it that way so it doesnt have to listen to you complain about your 1k dollar tires, or your 100$ watch, that before that nationalist labor movement you could buy for 100$ a set at pepboys, or 15$ at wallmart. besides if joe smith wants a high paying american job, than he shouldnt be looking at manufacturing anyway. get an education (not a given), learn chinese and then put a resume out. let me aks you this. how many people in ex-subsistance economies have resumes? hello? anywho...give the american labor movement a rest. you would be kicking yourself in the ass if it ever happened.
  12. oh oh! can i take you up on that offer? course i guess shipping would be a really bear eh?
  13. 240MPH? without extensive aero mods it will never come close, and when you start those mods, you wont have a car that looks anything like the original Z. 200MPH might be possible but your looking at triple or quad your budget. geex, even then youll be lucky. didnt SpencZ want to make 200MPH in his tube frame twin turbo 240Z? whatever happened to that project anyway? sorry to be an arse, but i still wish you the best of luck. try it in a Z32. youd have better luck.
  14. Wow, I really love the 2500 TVRs. there was one at the historics this rear (not racing, just parked) even my girlfriend said it was cool, and wouldnt mind having one! score! anywho, wish i could afford it.
  15. BWahahaaha Nic... you too eh?! im glad im not the only one. ahh...memories of younger days.
  16. those cars are awesome. Everytime I see a 323 in a little hole in the wall dealership, i pull over and check to see if its a GTX. it never is though. 2k is not a bad price as long as it wont take to much to fix it, and the rest of the car is in good shape. it certainly would be fun. But dont take my word for it, I have 0 experiance with these cars besides just liking them alot. goodluck, and if you get it, post some pictures.
  17. Woh Scotty! Congrats on the killer time, your still running the stock ZXT injection right?
  18. I dont know what Yall are talking about when you say you cant find a decent rim in a 5 bolt 0 offset pattern. your possibilities when going 5 lug are almost endless. I personally love the deep dish look, And would prefere it to stay that way. also, For those of us that are doing the front first, to have to buy two different rim offsets for the front, then buy two different rims for the rear, seems like a bit of a pain. Sure I could correct it with a spacer or adapter, But then whats the point of buying lite weight hubs, if im just going to add weight to it in order to correct something we could have addressed in the first place. having two different offsets on a car will look stupid. And please, If My information is incorrect, somebody feel free to chime in and set things straight. also, I would like to thank juan for taking the time to get all these things going for us. he is an asset to the Z community and we should all take the time to thank him for his work.
  19. what happens when we need to swap out bearings? will this cause permanent, structural damage to the hubs? im curious as to what type of alum. these wll be made from? cant wait to see em!
  20. Hey Simon, Glad to see you back. The funny thing is, I was just looking for your old website, then I sign in and see this! Whats up with your Z?
  21. its not an M3, The E30 M3 had an extended rear roof line as well as a different angle on the rear window, its also had a raised rear trunk lid with integrated wing(aerodynamic reasons) this car was a plain jain 3 series the new owner just added M3 box flares, available from about 12 different euro body kit manufactures.
  22. SWEET! I have a soft spot in my heart for E30 bimmer, and that just makes that soft spot even bigger. man, E30 (not a real M3 BTW) with a turbocharge individual TB M5 engine. like heaven!!!! droool......its on my list of things to build.....once day, one day.
