  1. It claims that it is to large. These were taken with my brother's digital cam. I took them on the lowest quality setting. How do make them smaller? Thanks, Jason
  2. My Z car will make into this post....might be another year or so...but, it will make it. The engine is looking good. I got a few things I need to do to it still. Jason
  3. Send me a built 302 with about 400HP and a worldclass 5 speed, and I'll drop it into my Z. I'll post lots of updates and everything. Do this for me and I'll forget about the turbo swap. I'll post in the Ford forum everyday I swear!
  4. Fill your car full of bricks. With enough weight you should be able to lower it to the right height.
  5. I think thats his fuel pump...hmmm...welded to his tailpipe? Wouldn't that get hot?
  6. I want the one with the optional light.
  7. "Think the motor might be missing" Just in case you haven't found it yet...have you looked under the hood? Jason
  8. I have had great success with regular body touch up paint. I bought some paint that matched the color of my car....kind of a metalic red color. Got it at Autozone. I first used some Bulldog paint adhesive, then painted them with the touch up spray paint, then applied a couple coats of clear coat on them. They have last for over 4 years! Look as good as the first day I painted them. And people told me it wouldn't last....ha! Just thought I would pass this on...might open up some more color choices for you. Good luck. Jason
  9. How about a megaphone that yells out "loser" when you beat someone...then to futher rub it in...have some LEDS light up in the rear window that says "loser" as well. That wouldn't be very sportsman like but, it sure would be funny.
  10. I can get it done in different colors...but yes, it does shine kinda like chrome. I might get the intake done to. They also do powder coatings. So thats where I will send my oil pan to. This place has only been around for a few months that I know of. So I'll wait and see how well the exhaust turns out. Its cool to see more shops like this opening up around Joplin, MO. I'll try and post some before and after pics. I'll aslo get some pics of my engine up soon. It's looking good IMO. Jason
  11. I can get mine done for $60. Is this a fair price? I just don't want to be ripped off. Seems ok, I just want to know what others have paid. Thanks, Jason
  12. You know what would be great...I once saw this tank turrrent with a pig sitting in it...it mounted on the hood of your car. It came with a remote to move the turrent around and make firing noises. You could pull up next to a Honda and fire upon it. Use this combined with the mega phone... Course, everyone would think you're wierd, and rightly so...
  13. I did take the bolts out and removed the 3rd pulley. The other 2 are stuck together. I was just wanting to make sure they would stay together. I guess I could put in a couple of shorter bolts and hopefuly not have to worry about it. Better safe than sorry. Thanks, Jason
  14. I have several different ones laying around. I don't need 3 pulleys and was wondering what would happen if I removed the 3rd one? There are a couple of bolts that go through the damper and hold it on. By removing the 3rd pulley would I be risking the integrity of the unit? Do I need to replace the two bolts with shorter ones? Do they help hold on the 2nd pulley on or are they there only to hold the 3rd one on? I want to shave some rotating weight and help make the engine look cleaning. Thanks! Jason
  15. "I am not running an oil cooler yet on my 83 engine. I went to Parker Fittings and got adapters to screw into the oil filter housing to convert to a standard flange fitting so it would be easy to hook up any kind of oil cooler in the future. The thread size into the oil cooler where the original cooler lines connect is 18mm. I just got 18mm to flared standard fitting adapter. That way I got rid of the banjo fittings and all of the original junk. To hard to find replacement parts or fitting that work with that stuff." So, I can keep the adapter and use an adapter for the fittings....then use hose clamps the attach the oil lines? Thanks, Jason
  16. I found an older post that talks a little about a pressure relief vavle in the oil filter adapter. My engine is from an automatic...this means I have to keep the oil filter adapter piece? That is were the oil pressure relief valve is? What happens if this part is not used? I think that the cooler line adapter piece can be modified to accept different fittings? How many of you have done this? Would I just need to retap the holes to a "AN" size? Then screw in some sort of fitting and clamp hoses to it? What type of hose should I use? Thanks Jason
  17. I was just wondering...may not be the best of ideas to do so. I did not get the oil cooler off of the 280ZXT. If you are running an after market one, got any part numbers to pass out? I think the oil filter thread is the same as some Fords (302?). Do I need to retain any of the old oil filter/cooler pieces? The part that connects the filter to the engine, there is a spring loaded check ball...if I replace this part with an aftermarket oil filter/cooler kit...will everything work correctly? I would hate to lose my newly rebuilt engine. So, what do I need to do? Just go out and buy a oil cooler kit for a Ford 302 and not worry about it? Oh, and where would be a good spot to place it? Thanks, Jason
  18. Good info...thanks! I saved that link. Jason
  19. Go to toohighpsi.com and look on there...somewhere is his 351TT T-bird. You can download a vid of him taking off on the street. It is pretty sweet. Lays down a lot of rubber. I know this is not a 5.0TT but close...sorta. Enjoy, Jason
  20. Ha ha, ok. Yeah, I went ahead and bolted it up already. But, I still need to put on the oil pump and distrib. Thanks. Jason
  21. Dude, that is so funny...I just hope he didn't go and beat his wife, kid, or dog after that...he seems the type to go off his rocker and do that.
