  1. I called up Nissan and asked if I could get the Vtec upgrade for my Z. It'll be in the end of next week.
  2. "Any updates on this kit guys? Also, as asked before, will these be 'floating' disks?" I tossed mine into the lake...Nope, they don't float! Time to buy another set. He he...sorry
  3. Ha ha Yes, must include a mute button. Hmmmmm....wonder if it could make my girlfriend jealous?
  4. Ha ha....I was just tossing the idea around. No, I don't need an imaginary lover. But, just think of the Bling Bling factor!
  5. So, if I get this front brake set up...what do we upgrade the rear brakes with? Will Ross C. brakes work? Also, what brake cly. would we use? Thanks, Jason
  6. I read another post and it got me thinking. Would it be possible to install a laptop, with a voice activated program into a Z car. So it would maybe greet you and a passenger? Like have a couple of switches in the seats and have it say a few things to you when you get in? Like....Hello, how has your day been......stuff like that. Would writting a program to respond to different words be that hard? Don't they have stuff like this out there for computers now? Maybe get it to reply to a few simple words or phrases? Any thoughts on this. I was just tossing the idea around some. Thanks, Jason
  7. I used to do stuff like that as a kid, just not to that great of a scale. It's a cool video. Good post.
  8. This link states that the current V6 Mustangs 5 speed is rated at 300fts. http://moderndriveline.tripod.com/moderndriveline/id14.html But it doesn't say which years it applies to. If it's true...then they are as strong as the older V8 ones...right?
  9. I am supposed to be doing a 280ZXT swap in my 240Z but, I have come across a deal. I would trade my 67 Cougar that needs restored for a complete and running 5.0 engine and a 5 speed out of a V6 stang. Would the V6 5 speed hold up every long under the load of a stock 5.0? I heard of people doing this. The Z is a much lighter car...would the shock load to the tranny be any less? If I don't dump the clutch at every stop light could I get the V6 tranny to last a while? Another question, what do I need to change on the V6 tranny to get it to work. I think I need a different pilot bushing...anything else? The high cost of building up my turbo engine to 350 HP has got me considering the 5.0 swap again. I already have the 5.0 mounts. I could just sell all my turbo stuff and put that money into the brakes and stuff. Give me some feed back guys... Thanks! Jason
  10. Those articles were great reading. Thanks, Jason
  11. Don't forget to check the air filter. I had an Eagle Talon TSI awhile back and it started to lose power, and choke, and kinda do what you are talking about. Ended up being that some leaves got into the airfilter box. Not sure how this happened. Well, I cleaned out the leaves and went ahead and replaced the airfilter. Everything worked get then. But I would also check things like the fuel filter to. Good luck, Jason
  12. I might get the front brake spacers he has. It's cool to see more people making Z performance stuff.
  13. Funny stuff. Reminds me of all the fun times I have had with my T-MAXX.
  14. What do you guys think? They are 17x8 inch wheels and have a 5" B.S. I have had them for a few weeks but just now figured out how to show a pic of them. I still need to save up for the coilovers and tires.
  15. I never knew about this. Good paper. It's a sad thing that this was allowed to happen.
  16. My friend is looking at an engine from this car, and was wondering if the cam in it has a fuel pump lobe. It is throttle body injected but we will be putting it in an older truck and want to use the carb and intake from it. Can we use the manuel fuel pump on this engine? Any info on this would be great guys. Thanks, Jason
  17. Let me know what happens. If I can find a system that works and doesn't cost much that would be great.
  18. Ok guys, need your thoughts and input here. I am wanting to get about 300HP at the crank, on my '82' 280ZXT engine. Am I wasting my time and money trying to mod the stock wiring and ECU to get me there? Would I be better off just getting an SDS or something? Cost is somewhat of an issue. I have been saving up and spending lots on my Zcar. I just don't know if I can shell out $1,000 for a system right now. How many "extras" are needed if I buy the SDS system. Can I buy the base system and just plug it into the stock engine? Can I use the stock distributor or do I have to use thier crank sensor? I thought some one send that a 300ZX crank sensor could be used in the 280ZXT distributor. Any thoughts or opinions on this guys? As always...thanks! Jason
