Last year I saw that car in person at an Altantic City, NJ show & auction. It was build on a Z and still had the original dash. It looked pretty good and had documentaion from the movie. I might have pictures around here someplace. Never did find out what it sold for. - Joe
  2. Charter 13, it covers the diferences for 280Zs - Joe
  3. I think the lastest news can sum the whole issue up easily: - GW claimed SH had chemical/biological weapons despite agreeing not to - SH had refused the inspectors access - SH claimed he had no such weapons (Despite using them on Iran and Iraq (Kurds)) - GW sends in the troops - SH(?) claims his troops will use CHEMICAL/BIOLOGICAL Weapons if US troops try to enter Bagdahd If SH wasn't lying WHERE DID THOSE WEAPONS come from ?????????? They just proved GW right, it had to be done to protect the WORLD from the weapons. - JMHO - Joe

Gee the list would be too long. If you want a real dose of nostalgia, play 'All Along The Watchtower' by Dylan, then by Hendrix, it'll blow you away. The old Dylan is great, you can understand what he's saying I guess you call the later stuff his 'mumble period' - Joe

  7. Scheeez, I always thought the plastic cups went on the top shelf, they bounce better that way. Now the dishwasher is a different story - Joe
  8. Sears has a new style of bolt remover, it looks like a socket, try one of those if it comes small enough. I keep hearing good things about pb blaster. - Joe O
  9. Get a carbide tip drill and cutting fuild. Use lots of cutting fluid to keep the drill cool and use a slow speed. That should get you through, take your time, don't try to rush it. - Joe O'
  10. John Washington is the guy to talk to, He has two styles for the GTO. His web site is http://www.reactionresearch.com. - Joe

  15. Hey Petew, Which yard are you finding these seats, Allentown isn't that far (I'm up there on businss often enough) so it might be worth stopping in. - Joe
  16. Pep Boys has a rebuild kit for around $190, If you have a '94 LT1 you can adapt the kit for vacuum like the '95 and up. There's info on this upgrade, I'd have to look it up again, but check the LT1 sites and you should find it. - Joe
  17. Mike, replacing a gas hot water heater is pretty easy. I've seen your Z work, so a water heater is no big deal. The hardest part is moving the darn thing around. There should be a valve where the line to the heater connects to the gas pipe. I replaced mine a number of years ago and added valves on both sides (hot-out, cold-in) and used couplers so that when it comes time to replace it again all I have to do is close the valves, drain the tank, close and disconntect the gas, open the couplers and pull it out. You can give me call if you want better instructions. One suggestion, get to it quickly, once the start to leak it goes downhill to flood city pretty quick. Oh yea, tell Donna hello - Joe
  18. You can use your "mail rules" to elimate a lot of junk mail. Setup rules that delete messages with specific words in the header, or from specific senders. You can get rid of a good bit of junk mail that way. Between the wizard and the help text you should have no problem. I use Outlook Express and got rid of a lot of junk that way. you can get pretty creative with the rules, so have some fun. One more thing, don't reply to junk mail with the "remove" option, that just lets them know they got a good address that they'll sell to someone else. - Joe
  19. You can get the manual at a jagsthatrun.com. Get it, it will be a big help. - Joe
  20. Still waiting for pictures. You do realize that if you get finished and don't have pictures posted we're going to have to organize a road trip and check it out in person. - Joe
  21. Jim you're an evil man, but I like the way you think My biggest problem with your idea is that I'm self employed. Guess I'll just have to behave when in MD. I have an associate who lives in Colombia and tells me all about "The %*$@#@ cameras". - Joe
  22. Try getting the rack in the right position and then see what has to be done to mount it. It looks as if you could move it a little closer to the center and then rotate it to clear. It looks like that would make it line up with the steering shaft. I'm really curious to see if this works, it might be a good option. - Joe
  23. If you don't have the JTR manual you should get one. First, check against another tach, it may already have been adjusted if someone else did the install, otherwise: To adjust the Tach, remove it from the dash, you don't have to disconnect the wires. Make sure the ignition is OFF. There's a small hole in the back, the adjustment scew is accessed through this hole. Use a small screwdriver and turn the adjustment screw 45 degrees CLOCKWISE. That will bring you close. Check with another tach and adjust yours to match. Make sure the ignition is OFF while adjusting. This is covered in the JTR manual. - Joe
  24. I did a lot of looking around for a windage setup for my 94 LT1. I ended up getting the Milodon pan with built in windage tray for the LT1. It requires their pickup and pump also. It has the same dimensions as the stock pan, so fit should be no problem. The pan does not have a bung for the oil level sensor, but I don't see that as any big loss. It's been to cold to run out to the garage and put it on the engine, but it can't stay this cold for much longer (I hope). - Joe
  25. The key to sorting out wiring is to have a good wiring diagram for the car. With a good diagram and an Volt/Ohm Meter you can trace any wire you want. The cost of a manual is cheap compared to the time it takes to create your own by testing each wire. Sometimes the only way to figure it out is to follow it from one end to the other. - Joe
