  1. God the car looks so cool, someone has to build it now
  2. Wow! Your looks great , get some more pics up! What kind of wheels are those?
  3. My dad has a '66 Aston Martin DB6, had it for close to 20 yrs now: Mom has an '80's Morgan +8, dont have any pics of that on my laptop...
  4. Adam Reubel Adam393 Cincinnati, OH '71 240Z E31 Head, Hoshino wheels, 5spd, Big sways, poly bushings, Tokico Shocks, ST Springs, MSA Headers & exhaust, JVC Radio W/ iPod Integration
  5. I think Midnight II looks the best In close second, IJM
  6. Sorry to keep using this photo for everything, but its my fav of my car
  7. Prob ~85 in the Z with the old springs (weaved alot on the highway, so didnt want to take it too fast), havent tried again w new springs ~125 in the IS racing a Civic
  8. God i wish i lived there to go pick up one. Its always sad to see these cars in that shape, and hear they are going to crush them. It truely love the Z's and wish i had the money to save all the 240's, but if u guys look at it this way, it will only make the ones we have rarer and more valuable
  9. HAHA Mine are usually good driving dreams, but i wake up and realize im 600 miles away at school or its still winter...
  10. I agree to the red statements, it looks so much better with some actual color on it, instead of the silver car they always used in press photos. Im interested to see it in the classic Midnight Blue or Midnight Purple I like the new Skylines but i wish they made it more geared towards tuners rather than a sophisticated, adult, supercar-esque feel to it. Still, theyre cool none the less...
  11. That looks pretty cool, sounds awesome!
  12. Wow, love the idea! Im really interested to see the other drawings I really like the modern touches you put on it
  13. Sounds great! I love the old Supra too, i never see those around
  14. None that I've encountered so far, it hasnt been driven too terribly much since the new springs were put on right before winter came in (i snuck it out a few times:biggrin:) But my spring break is in two weeks and im going back home where ill be making up for lost time (weather permitting:-|). If there are any problems that i may encounter with the springs ill def post it up But for the above comments, im not trying to badmouth Tokico, we just had a bad experience dealing with them, they were very rude when we tried to be courteous to them in this issue. As for the shocks, were very pleased with them, and id recommend their shocks to other people , i would just tell people to stay away from their springs
  15. If thats the definition of it then no, they werent coil bound, i apologize for the mistake. The springs had extremely little travel down the whole spring, before they then got coil bound. Thats what we thought was the problem
  16. They were coil bound, thats why we replaced them. We have heard suggestions on getting the struts sectioned, but since its more of a road car, seeing very infrequent AutoX's, we thought it wasnt worth it to spend the money on sectioning the struts since it does just fine now
  17. Its still pretty stiff, it just doesnt have a bone jarring ride like the Tokicos had. It is ever-so-slightly lower, my dad measured before and after, and the ST's were lower, but it wasnt by a big number. If i recall correctly it was something like an 1/8", it wasnt as if it was dropped another half inch
  18. I LOVE the old Datsun Roadsters. Nice color too, what are your plans for the car?
  19. Very nice! Just that subtle little strip makes the airdam look just right
  20. I have to say that i liked the old ones better, IMO it was nicer to have everything separated into groups instead of just all parts for sale and all cars for sale...
  21. Sorry I havent posted my feedback since i got back home. So for anyone who still may be interested, the ST springs are amazing. The ride is no longer as stiff (not that it bothered me to begin with, my dad hated the way it felt, so he never drove it), handles just as well and i have more confidence in the corners. Amazingly, it doesnt sit on the bumpstops anymore, there is plenty of travel, and amazingly it sits even lower than it did with the Tokicos!!! (My dad ended up measuring the height and it is lower, he just thought when it was initially installed it seemed like it sat higher) The thing im happiest about is that it doesnt weave anymore on the highway, the steering feels tight, instead of the vauge, swerving feel i got on the highway. Im very happy with the setup and highly recommend the ST springs for your setup. The Tokicos are nice for a budget, splurge and go for the Illuminas to set up the dampening force to your liking. If money is of no concern, go for Koni's, people on the IS300 forums seem to prefer those to Tokicos, although i dont know if their opinions can transfer to a different car...
  22. '01 Lexus IS300, you can find them for pretty good prices nowadays, extremely reliable, very fun to drive, and they have lots of mods available
  23. I DD the Z whenever i can. I dont take it out in rain or snow, and i wait for the salt to wash off the road. But as long as its nice outside, im going to take the Z out instead of the IS
