  1. Mike, Get a test light and poke the open wires to see whats hot when you turn on the ignition. Thats what you wanna hook the stereo up to so it comes on and turns off with the ignition. The power source that saves your bass/treble/balance and radio stations, is called the memory wire. You need to hook that up to a constant hot source. I dont think we can help you much by looking at a pic of wires. You really should use a test light to determine that.
  2. What i did was hook the MEMORY wire up to the battery permanently with a fuse inline (forgot what size). Then i took the regular power wire and hooked it up to a wire that goes hot when you click on the ignition. You should have one available if you pulled the old stereo. Just fish around in there with a test light. Get back if you need more info, i know much about audio.
  3. Simon, try running a pressure regulator inline so the pumps dont send too much fuel. I had to do this when i ran SU's with a 5psi pump.
  4. I would love to visit this car show in the future. I guess when i get everything settled over here, ill take a trip in a few years and hopefully this show is still running. http://www.kitcarshow.co.uk/index.htm This is a 240z conversion, correct?
  5. I think you will have problems the second you drop the car back on level ground. When you drive it, the diffy moves and i think you will start bending the unibody, bend the crap out of the bolt, or break the bolt.
  6. Ive seen that engine on a display stand at an air show. It is TALL, and i seriously think it would stick up a nice length above the hoodline.

my 79 originally had some kind of Targa strip.
  8. I bought from h4lights. I got the Autopal headlamps. They are glass, and they shine real nice. The headlight color is like pure white. Fair prices, and ships fast. http://h4lights.com

  10. What, a Honda or a lifted ford ranger? Lol Dave, Chinese fire drill......
  11. You dont have tons of $ to throw at engine mods but you contemplate an Infiniti v8......... Just grab yourself a 4th gen camaro v6 front clip or crashed donor car, yank the engine, harness, and tranny, and twin turbo it.
  12. Hey deevious, Check out these sites http://www.turbophile.com http://datnet.org/new/flyby/ http://www.ca18det.net http://www.bd4s.com.au/ca18det_performance_modification.htm http://www.dpmotorsport.com/cars/j25.htm http://www.pandablue.com/nissansilvia/
  13. It goes in. The longer the rod length, the sooner the brakes kick in. So if it is out more, the pedal will need to be pressed less to create pressure in the system.
  14. I had the same problem when i replaced my booster. When i went around the corner, it STOPPED.....and i mean STOPPED. Too much for me, and it was dragging kinda. You need to go under there, take out the pin that holds the pedal to the booster rod, and adjust the rod by backing it off a little. good luck, cheers, dk
  15. What works for me is logging out and then logging back in.

  19. For years, ive seen and heard about a fully functional scale model ferrari that actually had everything working in it. The engine was even made by hand. Well, without further yapping, here it is...on video. http://www.fineartmodels.com/ferfam.ram dk
  20. I would go with head studs. Head bolts can only be torqued down to 60-70 pounds, im sure nuts on studs can go a little more than that. Also, head studs make aligning the head gasket and head a HELL of a lot more easier, saving scratched head surface and/or a damaged head gasket during install. cheers
  21. I think a 383 stroker has a crank out of a 4?? block and its also overbored with larger pistons. I was going to do that with my IROC.
  22. The turbo in question, and the guys who created it, work at garrett.
