  2. After 2 years of calculating combos and using the search function, ive FINALLY come up with one that im going to run. This is all with parts i have in my garage. F54 block flat pistons N47 head OR Maxima head TWM throttle body Stock cam What i also need to know is what shape exhaust ports do the Maxima heads have? If they are square, i will run the Maxima head, and be running my square port headers i was running on a P90a, since the Maxima head has nice little detonation free friendly chambers What AFM must i use. Keep in mind i NEED to pass smog down here in cali. DAW, Yo told me you are the guy to answer my questions. TIA!
  3. Tim that show is awesome. I was actually logging on to post about it! I saw it earlier today around 11-12.
  4. The sr20det engine/tranny combo is like 450 pounds.
  5. Its phpbb free forum shareware. Millions of sites use that very same forum. i must say mine looks prettier though
  6. I think you need the kickdown cable for sure. Ihad an IROC, what a horrible experience.
  7. Nice! Is it me, or does the main plenum narrow as it gets closer to the last runners?
  8. Hey Zach, http://nopi.com has always been good to me back in the days when i was looking for some stuff. I located all their Side Marker listings and i hope this helps. They have one hell of a selection, and awesome prices i may add. http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dsppartsuniversal&vL1ID=6&vL2ID=25&vL3ID=0&vL4ID=0&vL5ID=0&vTitle=Lighting%20Side%20Markers&vaffid=0
  9. Heres another pic. Im trying to get the guys name and email.

    Whos sexier?

I voted for martha stuart, so she can hook up my house afterwards in the morning!
  12. Uh, please retract your comment, its a thing over on the 'other' Z sites about the canadians liking yellow,....goes along the same lines as us calling each other Bastards and all. You just wouldnt understand, but im SURE ZR8ED will. Thanks.
  13. The Nissan manifold is designed like a header. When i went headers on my old black z, it didnt make any difference in the world, except create a hell of a lot of noise. Waste of $.
  14. I say ACT too. And an upside to them, they come in Yellow, perfect for all canadians taste
  15. The heat would probably be the same as any muffler next to a gas tank. its not right next to the manifolds, so it would cool down lots before entry into the turbo. On that v8, he has torque to overcome the turbo lag. By the time the turbo kicks in, hes already hauling ass, and then you better hold on! Also, thats a lot of pressure going through the exhaust. It might not have as much lag as yall think since he is running a single exhaust to the turbo and after the turbo, letting the pressure build up fast. Overall, thats a wise idea, he gets very cool air because its in the rear of the exhaust where everything is cooler than next to the block. Kudos to that guy, thats a great design. Im just concerned about the filter placement, and the exposure the oil supply line has.
  16. So the bottom end is different. Im wondering if we can swap top ends and convert to f/i?
  17. Ive been reading about that crankshaft for a long time. Ive collected 2 sites, and i also found out that the SD-33 is a Chrysler Nissan engine. The crankshaft "Drop-forged steel with balance weights; all main and connecting rod bearing surfaces are induction-hardened". http://home.earthlink.net/~calicosmith/sd-33info.htm http://www.motorpowerinc.com/specs/sd33.html
  18. Ross, i wasnt trying to steer him away from your product. I was replying to the fact that he said something about $$$. My reply was on my mind all night after i turned off the computer and i hope i didnt offend you.
  19. At full pedal your pump is probably not providing enough pressure to feed the engine at those rpms, there you get the loss of power. When you are at half pedal, your pump can keep up with the little demand for fuel, hence the feeling that you have more power at half pedal. Maybe change your pump, fuel filter, and have your injectors cleaned. Also, check to see your AFM is opening all the way when you go full pedal.
  20. The 280zx brakes are great! Before you go spending $$$ on upgrades, just do basic maintnance on your current system, rebuild or get rebuilt calipers and master cylinder, and then build it up from there. Add SS lines, get better brake fluid (dot 4-5), and get some better brake pads. That should haul you to a stop in no time. No brake fade here after i did all of that. I had a bruise on my shoulder down to my chest from the seat belt for 3 weeks because i had to slam on the brakes at an Open Track event to avoid a collision between a Golf and a Miata. They hurt.
  21. Ouch. I stand corrected. Ive been lucky and i hope it stays that way. You learn something new everyday, especially here. But an all purpose abc or a b will be just fine, ive put out a fire in a volkswagon bug with a small canister of all purpose. I was driving to the mtns one day to go play in the snow and this poor guys bug was on fire. I snatched my canister before i even had the car stopped and i jumped out to put it out
