  1. I beleive it can...just need a 2 bar map sensor and I think with HPtuners you have to buy the rights to do 2 bar tuning.
  2. In your OP you said "mild cam"...LOL with those specs, I'd say closer to wild than mild
  3. My 8.5s are very close to the stock springs but fit nicely...I had to do a lil hammering to the stock metal air dam so the tires wouldn't snag it when turning. The rubbing that goes on is only in the rear on heavy dips and corners and its rubbing on the outside edge of the tires. I think some 225s or 215s would solve that...maybe even another brand of tire. Steering effort is noticeably increased (as expected) BTW.
  4. I broke an axle last time I gave someone a ride but meh...I'm down to give it another shot...LOL.
  5. you aint kiddin...and Thank you! Sorry Tom, I'm 31 now and have been "having fun" for around 10 years. No wrecks no tickets no problems...knock on wood. I would much rather keep it on the track but in my area the track is a 1-2 hour drive, is only open like once a month and you usually only get about 3 runs due to how many people are there. Until they open some tracks in this area I and others will continue to street race.
  6. Yo Edan, yessir I sure did. You coming out Friday? I hear Austin has been out in the GTO.
  7. LOL your funny. It is registered. I do race at the track. I'm not proving anything...just having fun. Have a nice day.
  8. I would have to agree, but it was closer than it appeared I started in 3rd and missed 4th the first race, then in the second race I started in 3rd grabbed 4th but then missed 5th. But yeah that thing moves. Every time I'd shift (when I wasnt missing gears )I'd drop back just a touch...that 14k redline just pulls and pulls.
  9. Added some more vids to youtube recently, figured I'd share... datsun cobra srt8 datsun cobra freeway datsun cobra dig 1 datsun cobra dig2 datsun vs GSXR 750
  10. Awesome...what brand wideband are you using and where and how much did you purchase it for?...I really want to get one.
  11. dont push too hard untuned...if I recall correctly mine was pretty lean at WOT.
  12. No I haven't yet. I just put on some 235/45/17s a couple weeks ago and broke a halfshaft/u-joint within a week on the street. I know I will need something a bit beefier for tires any stickier than these. (cant afford the Q45/cv swap as of now) But I have another axle lying around JIC. The track in my vids is Fontana. I'll be throwing some ET streets and hooking up the nitrous on the Datsun just as soon as I put in that Q45 diff and stuff. LOL should get me booted out pretty quick
  13. Damn thats almost identical to my setup....with the tune you should have no trouble breaking 400.
  14. I think the ported oil pumps started because of oiling issues and pump failures the LS motors suffered from in 98-99. The oiling issue was said to be fixed by most 2000 motors and not a problem in the 01-02 motors. I have a couple 2000 motors and replaced the pumps with the Z06 pumps just in case and upgraded to LS2 timing chains.
  15. I figured I'd add to the stock half shaft / axle love. I went from some 195/75/14s to these 235/45/17 continentals: lasted all of one week before the u-joint popped: I gunned it on a freeway on ramp in first and pop...knock, knock, knock...luckily didn't hurt anything cept my pride as I was giving a friend a show off ride:banghead:

  17. Late may 2008, California speedway: Track elevation of about 1300ft, about 70-80 degrees, curb weight of about 2600, very old 185/70/14 tires, stock 3.55 open R200, FAST 78mm intake manifold, pretty big cam, LS6 heads, dual 3" exhaust to open cutouts, T-56, 420rwhp. 12.351@120.06 with a 2.069 60ft was one of my better runs, 1st and 2nd gears were pretty worthless. 3rd would hold if I got into it at only about 3k rpms vid in my sig
  18. I ran my main alt wire in between the oil pan and crossmember direct to the starter post....the starter post is hooked up directly to the battery. No fuses or fusable links and short power wires. This setup has been working well for me.
  19. Mine's a 75 with stock tank...the stock fuel feed line from the tank is like 1/2" (pretty big considering stock camaro is 3/8") Also, it has a return right next to the feed. Most of my fuel system consists of steel braided line and a few pieces of rubber hose and is held to main parts (tank, filter, pump, fuel rain) using fuel injection hose clamps.
  20. Most likely a bad pump then. If it were a restriction in the system I would think you would see the pressure drop sooner. Its possible running it at the lower voltage may have caused it to fail prematurely.
  21. I've ridden in TT GTOs and they are very very nice...just too heavy. The last turbo goat I rode in had an APS kit and the pull was quite linear but two small turbos like that spool pretty quick. I think it was around 8-10psi. I do know that it was making 562rwhp tho (stock internals). His car (no driver)weighed in that night at 3800#s and driver is about 200+...mine weighed 2530 and I'm 170#s I looked at the numbers and we should be an extremely close race. I dont think I have many pictures yet but I wouldn't call it a sleeper...it looks like more of a pile:iospalo: IMO ...a fast pile tho:rockon:
  22. If that fixed it for a couple hours it sounds like its probably related...what was the voltage at the pump after rewiring it and then after it acted up again?
  23. LOL that's awesome...I love watching vids like that...but I like makin em more!!! I think I'll post one in fact!
  24. I had the exact same problem with mine...low voltage at the walboro inline pump...ran a larger guage wire from the fuel pump relay and that fixed mine.
