LS2 vette pan is ideal...more clearance than the F-body pan, it has the best internal baffling for high G side loading and its pretty much flush with the k-member. Its like it was made for this swap.
Nope it holds about 58 PSI. They are readily available from most automotive websites for $40-$60 as it is a fuel filter and changed pretty often. You can install it in the engine bay and still use your return line from their if you wanted.
I've heard of people using stock 240z radiators in their LS swaps...the radiator you posted would be quite a bit overly-sufficient. I have the JTR radiator and mount kit (it uses an OEM type aluminum radiator) and the computer controlled 2 speed taurus fan almost never comes on, let alone makes it to the hi-speed setting.
Yeah I hear yah...70 miles from my location...but then I haven't run a sticky tire:burnout:. You are more than welcome to use my tow bar setup if needed:mrgreen:. I tow my Datsun with my Blazer or anything with a hitch. Legally it just has to be heavier than the Datsun which means pretty much everything:icon45:.
sick runs...www.lainvasion.com...it's basically a mainly GM 150 car track rental for $60 where you can get some 1/4 runs. Traction was outstanding last few times I've been...lots of broken drivetrains. Me and another(possibly two other (you'd make 3 other)) LSX Datsuns will be there. I got 8 runs last year.
Cool very nice... Mine weighed around 2550 (no driver) when I ran it and also Fontana at 12 in the afternoon has a very different DA than the Q at 7-Xpm at night. But yeah definitely need some rubber so I can actually get on it outta the hole.
7.863@96.68MPH ...Whats yours Dave?
hmmm I dont but if i get a chance to rack it up...I'll for sure take some and post it.
Almost a year old now. I joined way before to do the research.
latest run: http://www.motorgen.com//vid/showphoto.php/photo/869
only difference was a Q45 VLSD and 235/45/17s continentals from the 195/70/14s old junk(12.3@120). I still only 60ft'd 2.1 but was able to shift into second without tons of tire spin.

on this run I got a 1.9 60ft but missed 3rd...grrr. Woulda been a 11.5-11.6 had I not missed it.
Only got 3 runs in my 12 hrs spent at the track
On a posiitive note the track is about 70 miles from my house and I averaged 26 mpg that tank which includes the racing, averaging 90 mph on the way there and about 70 mph on the way home:mrgreen:
