  1. See you can have one by next weekend!! It's in Orlando, just needs to be bought and picked up!!
  2. Frank, I don't believe the cage would pass tech in SCCA and possibly NASA. The diagonals within the main hoop don't meet criteria. I'm not saying that I believe its inferior it doesn't meet the rules. From the SCCA GCR: Main hoops shall incorporate a diagonal brace. The brace shall either be in the plane of the main hoop, or extend from the top of one rear brace (described in 9.4.B.2.c) to the bottom of the opposite rear brace. Automobiles with mid mounted engines can have the lower mounting point attach to the frame of the automobile within six inches of the main hoop. In the case of braces in the plane of the main hoop, the brace must span at least 50% of the width of the main hoop, and at least 75% of the height of the main hoop.
  3. I called you last week and left a messege!!
  4. Got another one here in Orlando! Jeff won't call me back!!
  5. My first question would be: You originally asked for the seat one particular way? They did not deliver what you asked for, and they want to charge you to correct that? Not the way I would do business! We,the customer and I, come to an agreement on what is expected, both from me and from them. If I don't deliver as promised(product/workmanship) than they don't deliver (money). Now, that being said. We came to an agreement on what was practical and feasible. If I can't meet that, I don't take the job, or if its not done as agreed, I can't charge, nor can I charge to fix. The seat should be basically bolted to the floor! The rear stays should be straight, from an engineering standpoint and from the rulebook on just about anybody who has cage/roll bar rules. The quality seems to be there in their welding etc. just the application is not what I would consider correct. If you keep it the way it is can you fit?? If not there is no alternative in my eyes. Make it Fit!!!! If not, bring it to Orlando and we will take care of you!!!! check out chrisleonemotorsports.com you milage may vary, not to be used in conjunction with any other offers, price reflects previous sale, this is a limited time offer, new customers only, there is only 2 vehicles at this price, this has no cash value!!
  6. You should fit just fine in this car with a proper roll cage!! I am 6'4" and 295 lbs and I fit in my car with no problems!!
  7. Still have the CV axles.

  8. 1 Fast, Are you willing to wear a helmet on a daily basis? Having a bar,let alone a poor fitting one(JEGS), running along side your head will do more damage to your noggin then that idiot t-boning you!! Just something to consider.
  9. Check out your local welding repair business , they usually have a bunch of trade ins and repairs not paid for. My local shop has 35+ used mig units! Won't hurt to meet them as well for thier input on what to get and what not to get!
  10. My point is that if I find a eng/tranny combo and I know of someone looking for atranny we split it and all are happy. Didn't sound hard but might be!!
  11. DUDE... CHILL I have seen a few engine and tranny setups people are selling together, not willing to seperate. I have a jerico for my build. IF I find one I'll let you know, if you find one, let me know! I need engine you need tranny, we split it and both wind up set. Try less caffiene!!
  12. I have one. How about 75 plus shipping. Its in good shape, didn't realise it was an R160 til I set it next to a 180. LOL Chris Leone 4 0 seven 4 six three 0 three 1 2
  13. The camber plate is from ISC racing, they are Mazda shop in Lakeland Fl. they sell ther plates for about 110 bucks. I can't see spending 300 on the set of aluminum ones!!
  14. Here is a few pics from the strut tower and bracing. I cleaned most of the dust for you guys!! The motor will be slightly right of center for "alignment " purposes... not weight distribution.( LOL)
  15. If you find an engine and tranny together let me know, I'm looking for a VQ35 and a bell housing from an automatic!! If I find anything in my search I'll let you know. Chris four zero 7 4 six three zero 3 one two
  16. Actually thats a lot of fiberglass dust from last weekends attempts at the front airdam!! LOL
  17. I hope this is the general idea?!Sway bar mount is not drilled yet, but will be in center. Not trying to highjack.
  18. Looks like it might be VQ power, maybe 35 too!! Here is a few pics, not much to report, trying to keep the doors open on the shop!!
  19. I'll be at the shop tomorrow and take pics of car and welder!! Decided to go VG30de power!! All the L series stuff will be sold!! Have to find a good motor now!!
  20. The cage is beautifully done. It appears to be 1 3/4 in. tubing, why not 1 1/2 inch? With the amount of tubing in that configuration it would seem to be heavier than necessary, and would allow just a little bit more room in there. Just my 2 cents, no offence is intended!
  21. Scored this week!! Miller Syncrowave 350 TIG unit, cooler, pedal, leads everything!! 1600 Bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just pretty excited!!! I have only been looking for 8 months now!
  22. A few things to think about! As I am in process of buying a tig machine, new or used. The big ones are great and have been running for many years. Repairs may be cheap but how is the unit going to get to the repair shop? Many of these weigh 350 to 500 pounds. Biggest thing for the home guys, look at the amp draw at the wall. I was looking at a Miller 330 aps(?). If I was doing 1/4 aluminum it would take 120 amps at initial strike and 60 amps while welding. Is your garage wired/ circuit breakered for 120 amp service? Most houses only have a 150 amp service. Also electric bills will add up quick. The Miller 225 amp unit comparatively would pull 40-50 at start up and about 18-20 once underway. Price difference would be eaten up by electric bills pretty soon. If you are not sci-fi with your welding and are budget concerned look at the Destination 160 by Miller, ac/dc, lightweight, portable, and a 3 YEAR WARRANTY!! and a neat torch mounted switch, so no foot pedal. Great for working in a car. 2 switches, ac or dc, and thickness of metal, Done. 1275 on cyberweld.com Just my 2 cents, going down the same road. Some things I hadn't considered.
