  1. I live in Eagle Point OR. Its about 8 miles from medford on hwy 62.
  2. My garage ios overflowing and need to get rid of some stuff. i have no idea what any of it is worth. Here is what's gotta go: Complete VG30 engine including harness and ECU, clutch flywheel and starter 1. Nissan 5 speed (not borg warner) 2. Z31 Radiator 3. Stock driveshaft I've had no experience with E-bay, and not even the slightest clue about shipping. So someone tell me how to go about getting rid of this stuff. PleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeZe
  3. Sorry, I only buy beer. Your choice though: Hires Dads or Barqs
  4. Awesome. those boats were pretty strong without any work. They could rip the sidewalls out of tires, and plow snow 2' deep.
  5. Sorry to have started the old bike argument again, but I've had my fat old a$$ on a rigid frame harley for 45 years, and only quit riding a lot when Harleys changed from a lifestyle to a fashion statement. If you want to know what I hate, its the Rich Urban Bikers who have a levi jacket with the cut off sleeves neatly stitched and not so much as a wrinkle in their shiny new leather jackets. They're the ones who strut around bad mouthing outlaws while pretending to be them. (I was a 1%er before most of them were born) I swear to whoever, the next one of these rubs that call me "Bro"... Oops, sorry, didn't mean to rant. I don't care what anybody ride as long as they aren't trying to be something they aint. Hey, Joshua if your ever in this part of the country let me know and I'll buy you a beer. * * depending on your age. there are some young guys on here. Joe
  6. Glad to hear that the kids are alright. Gee it sure is fun to bwe a parent.
  7. In the time it takes to put your blankets on the couch you could have saved a bunch of money on your car insurance.....
  8. When i have had to weld on a gas tank, I take it to my friendly radiator shop and let them boil it out.
  9. Several years ago I brought a RUF 930 from LA up here (Oregon) to register it for a friend. Out on I-5 between Buttonwillow, and Kettleman City I ran it out to 300 kph before I lost my nerve, My wife pointed out that when i let up on it, the nose came down. I have no idea just how fast the thin would have run, but it was rock steady as fast as I wanted to go. Two weeks later, my friend came up and got it and drove it home to LA. It was stolen shortly afterwards and the hulk was found stripped and burned. Still the finest car I ever drove.
  10. I happen to like Harbor Freight. Granted, some of HF's tools break, its a lot easier to just go get another one than to have a major payment on tools every month. That being said I gotta admit that a really good wrench just feels better in your hand. Now about harleys, Don't put down what you ain't owned. I've had my current one for nearly 20 years and it hasn't given me any trouble at all. and ;its been th;rough a ton of crap, including a season with Nitros and another with a judson supercharger. With a little luck next year (if the ZX is ever finished) its gonna see twin turbos off some kind of rice rocket.
  11. That must have been one hell of a test drive!
  12. I'd go for it in a Heartbeat! What does it use for a transaxle?
  13. I have been putting a 350 in my '84 NA since sometime before the war of 1812. Actually its a pretty easy swap if you aren't driving truck. (120,000 miles a year don't give you a lot of time) I am finally ready to take it to the exhaust shop, then paint jail. If you go chevy, and I can be of any help, just let me know.
  14. Even though the light from the initial flashwill cause damage over time, its the heat that causes flastburn. Wearing glasses can break the heat from the welder enough to stop flash. Believe me when I say that geting your eyes flashed is not enjoyable.
  15. So basically its better to be a german whore than to work for many small businesses here?
  16. While looking for parts I came across this ad. Seems like a good deal to me. What do you think. http://www.racingjunk.com/exec/ca/view/363369/1990-300ZX-TT-WITH-LS1-ENGINE-SWAP.html
  17. That's impressive. And to think I used to run that stuff on my Harley.
  18. Congratulations. Your mosnter sounds awesome. It should eat all comers ! Mine just sits there and eats my wallet
  19. At first it my theme was "Old school" then I realized that I am too retro for that so it is more like "Pre school" But in reality it should be, "Someone stop me before I modify something else!"
  20. I had one of their motorcycles (Square 4) when I was younger. It was the smoothest thing I ever rode, and had a sound that was like nothing else. If the engineering is as good on the car as it was on the bike, it should easily be worth the money.
  21. Monday the Z31 is on its way to the exhaust shop. With any luck, I should have it back in a couple of weeks then nothing left to do (yeah, right) but send it off to paint prison. It sure will be strange to see the garage floor.
  22. I have just spent the last week trying to get my engine to fire on the magneto. This has been one of those really frustrating times, not to mention expensive. $105 for plug wires, $70 for a timing buzzer, $80 for a set of points and still I am plugging in a stock distributor while the mag gets sent off to Don Zig. This thing is making me even crazier that i was in the first place.. If I don't use it I'm going to have to put out another $200 for a new Tach. A couple months ago I got installation instructions from the Taylor Vertex website, but they were in pdf and so the diagrams wouldn't print. Yesterday I went back to their site and all I could find was "under construction". Does anyone have experience with a Vertex OXC Magneto? All the engine does is backfire through the intake, then through the exhaust. I know that it isn't 180 degrees out because I've checked it about a dozen times. I'm not sure if the coil is wired up correctly or if it is even putting out enough. By now I'm not even sure what questins to ask. Please somebody help, or else come by and put me out of my misery.
