  1. Oops sorry, I kind of blew it in another post. I hate politics, but get riled up about them too much. Sorry again.

Is ther anyone here besides me that doesn't believe the sun rises out of Bush's A$$? Clinton lied about getting a wind job, and years later you people are still moanin' about it. Wouldn't you lie if you were doin' the nasty and didn't want your wife to find out? Or have I wandered into the "We Are All Saints Here and Have Never Transgressed" thread? (If you say that all you guys are as pure as the driven snow, You're probably lying!) How do you feel about the almost $50,000,000 bucks to bring the said carnal act to light. Oh, that's cool right? After all, Clinton was a Liberal. I mean I never hear anyone complaining about that little waste of money. Bush on the other hand seemed to have no problem lying about WMDs, Sadam and the uranium, Iraq and its connection with 911. And the list goes on. If I remember correctly wasn't it on W's watch that one of his stooges, probably Carl Rohe[sp] outed a CIA operative to a so called journalist named Novak? Didn't we send a guy named (Elliot?) Abrams to prison for doing that a few years back? Maybe Clinton was a one of those low life non-patriotic Democrat, but when the Trade Center was bombed, the perps were caught and put away, as was the jerk who did Oklahoma city. All I hear from Osama Ben Ashcroft's quarter is how they had to release the ones they caught because of faulty prosicution. But what can you expect from an attorney general who lost an election to a dead man. I really don't like George, but then you probably have already guessed that. But don't wory, I wouldn't call him a Faciest. After all they said that Musolini made the trains run on time. Yeah, I know, "America love it or leave it". But my family has taken part in every armed conflict since (and including) the french and indian war. And none of them ever: 1. Joined the Texas Air guard. or 2. took 6 different deferments because they "had other priorities". Even though this rant will probably get me banned, sometimes you just gotta say what needs to be said.
  3. That was a funny show. I haven't thought about it in years. Has anyone seen "My Hero" on PBS? It's about a clueless alien superhero. I think it may also be on BBC America.
  4. Man, it would take a lot of Wild Turkey to get me up there!
  5. It is truly amazing how strong a well casing can be when it is driven into the ground a couple of hundred feet. I think you're right Terry, just another case of " Hey, Billy Bob, watch this!"
  6. Now that's what I call a nice little german Economy car
  7. Or you could dut the body off the ZX and put it on the 350 floor pan. All you need is bucks.
  8. It just ain't fair! Those beautiful Z's and a few miles to as beer factory.
  9. About a half an hour ago I got the ZX started for the first time! The cam makes the idle really choppy. It shakes the whole car. Gawd, I love it!! Next is the driveshaft and exhaust, then I'll be able to actually drive it. I am really happy. All I've farmed out is the machine work on the engine. Of course the Exhaust, and Paint don't get done at home.
  10. So there I was, just finished posting ON3GO to finish one car instead of getting a new project. Felt really good to have a "Holier Than Thou" attitude. Kind of gives one a warm feeling. The next afternoon I'm at the Pete dealer getting some wervice done to my truck when what to my bloodshot eyes appears but an old friend who I haven't seen in a couple of years. To make a long story even longer, he tells me that he has just pulled a 392 Hemi out of an old DeSoto that his father in law had given him. he said it was running when he drove it home, but the car was just a wreck. Since we were swapping our latest adventures I told him that my neighbor had been trying to get me to tow away a '72 Dodge dart swinger.(title and all!) Well we been talking about these developments for a couple of weeks now. I saw him on the road last monday at Pollard Flats truckstop we put away about a gallon of coffee decided to build the dart with the hemi. I always liked the old Factory experimental cars and now I'm gonna have one. at least part of one. Here's what we want to do. Somebody please talk us out of it! We are going to build a Nostalga car. Our intention is to move the rear wheel ahead 12 inches and the front ones about 8". Strip the interior and replace all the panels with 22guage aluminium. He just told me on the phone athis afternoon that the engine is going to the machine shop tomorrow to get blueprinted and balanced. When I get the time I'm going to go through the torque flite. We are scrounging for a 9" ford dif that a pal has in his barn. We would like to get a set of maybe 5:30 gears for it and have the whole thing stuck together in time to go racinnnnng in the spring. So it looks like I'll be going drag racing. Oh yeah, Everyone just forget about what I said about doing one project at a time.
  11. Whadda ya mean yer leavin'? Last I heard they have the internet in Spain. But if you gotta go you gotta go, so have a good time!!
  12. Mike, Have you ever seen a car you didn't want??
  13. I could swear I saw your car on a trailer going south on I-5 not too long ago. Congrats.
  14. Phil1934 Georgie has a plan for universal health care: he's going to issue forged canadian passports all of us. it must be true, I heard it on the Chapelle show.
  15. Too bad it isn't tne next genreation. That is what the 350 Z should have looked like!
  16. Glenn, I haul freight, and agree with you whole heartedly! That scene isn't half as funny as some seem to think especially when viewed through the window of a Peterbilt.
  17. At least it seems to be happy. The first pic has a nice smile
  18. Mike, "Sheople?" Was that a typo? Not that it matters. Even though I know that its wrong to steal from other members of this board, I love that word, and now it is a permanant part of my limited vocabulary.
  19. I've been studiously avoiding this thread for as long as I could, but it just wouldn't go away. There was a time that I had a lot of respect for Powell, but lately the only word that comes to mind is "Sellout".(Does anyone remember the "Powell Doctrine"? You know, the one that said we should have an exit stratigy before going to war.) So doesn't anyone recallthat both Powell and Rice said that Sadaam was effectivly bottled up, and no threat. After the Trade Center was attacked during Clinton's term there were people caught, tried and sent to prison. Shrub, as I recall when he finally finished his photo op with the kids ranted and raved that we would get Osama dead or alive, Well we didn't. When was the last time that you heard any of our fearless leaders mention his name? ("Oh hell, lets go get Sadaam, we know where he is") The war in Iraq was in the planning stages for years. Check out the Plan for a New American Century. (PNAC) Written by Perle, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeldt, and several other right wingers. PNAC stated that we should establish a military presence in Iraq to be used as a pivot point to attack Syria and then Iran. The Same neo cons who are running our government now wrote the plan up years ago. They tried to sell it to Netenyaho [sp] but Isreal wouldn't go for it. George the first wouldn't buy it. neither would Carter or Clinton. All of them knew that attacking Iraq would end up just as it has, a mess with no end in sight. They say Mousilini made the trains run on time, so maybe there is hope that the fascists in power can do something for amtrack!
  20. The higher the pressure in the cooling system, the higher the boiling point of the coolant. For instance the boiling temp of water is several degrees lower in Denver than it is at sea level. It all has to do with atmospheric pressure, and closing the system allows a higher pressure on the coolant ergo, a higher temp. Does this make any sense?? Joe
  21. Well, at least it isn't a fourdoor.
  22. Go find a truck stop with a CAT scale. It'll cost you seven or eight bucks but it will be accurate.
  23. I.L.B.Ts -Joe Walsh (You Bought It You Name It)
  24. Seeing as I am the only one on here who is gauche enough to ask: Who is the girl by the cars? Is she (1) Wife? (2) Daughter? 0r © A perc for owners of Multi Vettes?
