  1. Yeah, don't try to diffuse the situation, I say just issue the kids Mac 10's. When i was in 10th grade there was a jerk who just wouldn't stop giving me s**t because I was from a really dirt poor familly. So I dealt with it and got to spend a year in George Junior Republic in Penna. It was a wonderful place, kind of undergrad school for criminals. The only neat part of the story is the guy I beat up still has a limp some 45 years later. There, now you know how I became a flaming LIberal one percenter with a major bad attitude.
  2. Larry, You have my deepest sympathy. I lost my mother and an older sister to diabetes and know how hard the battle is. Joe
  3. Well, it may have been a 90cc. But then I'm a A-merry-can. and so I think the metric system is an evil ferin plot! :)
  4. Hey, that's me you're talking about!
  5. I just want to do something about the fact that the car looks like it has a real bad overbite. At the rate I am going (I'm still trying to do something about the hood scoop) the tree huggers will have the forests so shut down that there will be no such thing as logging roads.
  6. BrandonsZ Bionics hybrid? What does that mean its like the first Honda 50? (50cc engine and pedals?)
  7. The same could be said of most of the human race.

  9. On a Z31, the front facia is one piece with the bumper molded in. I think the airdam goes under the bumper and bonds to it. (but I ain't sure) I hope you understand that I am totally out of my depth with body work. especially plastics. (as opposed to metal)
  10. Larry, I've been there and loved the Avante air dam, unfortunaly I don't love it $500 worth. I'm probably going with MSA.
  11. I have a couple of questions about urethane air dams. There's a ton of info on painting them, but I couldn't find anything about installation. I've been looking for an air dam for my Z31. Like everything else, there ain't squat for the car. Building my own is cost prohibitave and way beyond my skill level. (I couldn't even get fiberglass to stick to bare, rough metal.) So here are my questions: 1. How will I get urethane to bond to the plastic front on the Z31? 2. The place I was looking sells both urethane and fiberglass, but lists the urethane as weighing 50 lbs and the same piece in glass at 160 can this be right? I am leaning toward the urethane because right now the car weighs about 90 lbs less with the small block than it did with the VG30. I've searched here and that "other" sight. The other site gave me a lots of info on subwoofers but not much on anything I needed.
  12. Has any one any experience molding an abs scoop? What will stick to the darn stuff? Do you think Bondo would work? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanx, joe

  14. Don't think they made 18's in 1974. My '74 KW had a 5 speed main with a 4 spd brownie. My wife learned to drive on that truck. She calls a truck with only one stick a sissy truck, and only snickers at big trucks with the automatics.
  15. Damn. the guy just wanted to know about mirror placement, and he ends up in the middle of an insult match. I don't think this is what HybridZ is about. I mean, grow up! IMHO Its his car and he can do anything he wants to it. Some of us do what we can afford, so if his choice upsets you so much how about staking him to a paint job.
  16. Like the comentator on FSN said. Maybe he should tell that to Shirley Mulldowney [sp]
  17. Just maybe he makes sense, but I don't have babblefish installed to translate it into English, or for that ,matter any other language that is spoken on this planet.

  19. Isn't "i am who I am" a line from the song that Popeye the Sailor sang in the old cartoons??
  20. What we have here is a failure on our parts to understand this: A hybrid is a lifestyle, a 350 is a fashion statement. Granted there are exceptions to every rule. (But not many)
  21. It's them damn yellow helmets. Makes those guys think they're bullet proof
  22. Terry, Those wheels are awesome, and as always, the quality of the work is beyond description. Thanks for setting my project back at least a month. (Every time I see a picture of your car I can't bear to look at mine for at least a week.:) ) Joe
  23. Q: Why do women skydivers wear tampons? A: So they don't whistle on the way down.
  24. 3600 lbs with driver? My Z31 weighed 2970 without me before I pulled the V6. (With me on board you may be right at about 3600:)) After the swap (355sbc/350th) the car weighed 2900 lbs. I lost the air conditioner and the front bumper. the rear is 20 lbs heavier than the front, but I can live with that. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/665777
  25. The steering is a little tight if you run blockhugger headers, but if you look around for a header that dumps at the rear (even the stock manifold) there should be no major clearance probs. Where I live in Oregon when a car is 21 it no longer gets smogged! As for California, who knows.
