  1. Fact of the matter is those guys have absolutely hammered down this year- B.S. is rampant in the NFL so its real easy to pick on them...however you know damn well there isnt a speck of actuall honesty anywhere in the game-unfortunately. Anyways...they are going all they way-no doubt about it.
  2. way better than working on the floor, but god damn that makes me glad i have a 2 post lol.
  3. Yea thats a tricky one but he got it right.
  4. Wow!! this is some serious tech info here!!-good stuff! Perhaps i'll just keep reading until i have no desire whatsoever to design my own arms.
  5. Exactly..i fantasize about doing this very swap but the dimensions of the project just dont line up well.
  6. What you are showing is nothing, there may be worse on the car but assuming from what youve shown that is no prob.Fix it up good and let all the sissy boys have their "rust free z's". EDIT: Oh!! its a 2+2. Yeah thats too rusty-part it out lol!
  7. No i definately agree, there are some problems with the rest of the car that dont seem consistant with the engine compartment.Maybe someone did the swap for him and then he went around and tinkered with thte rest of the car?
  8. Was just impressed by the factory look of this swap, pretty much the official standard for me,the rest of the car...eh ok lol. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.britishv8.org/Triumph/KenHiebert/KenHiebert-C.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.britishv8.org/Triumph/KenHiebert.htm&h=450&w=600&sz=48&hl=en&start=2&um=1&tbnid=v4iat_1DrQ50cM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=135&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlt1%2Bengine%2Bcovers%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DX
  9. Yes your problem is ground realted,i almost guarantee it.
  10. The funny thing is, when something worries you problems arise everywhere. If you didnt really care about your car you would never notice this activity.Try a spot that seems stupid,or put your car in danger-it will probably be safest there.
  11. Interesting...for some reason i predict someone else deciding they need that before me,but sweet i'll definately keep that in mind.
  12. Very good point!! I dont think you can safely change the length of the arms without causing very undesireable geometry problems with the pivot center of the axles,cv's sure-you could get away with more there but thats another thing. I like your thinking though,i am actually trying to come up with an original/effective design for some rear lca's myself.Unfortunately you will probably find yourself at least somewhere close to what has already been done succesfully by the time you have it right.
  13. Nooo dont click that lol,is that the same thing aux posted earlier?
  14. Errr...abs eh?.I guess what he meant was Absolute Bull-♥♥♥♥.Nice car but i bet the guy selling it wreaks of aqua velva and has a golf hat.
  15. I dont like it but should be interesting to see what it goes for...maybe someday all our crazy creations of the z will be valuable.
  16. Damnit this is what i dont want to hear lol.. Makes it sound so much better to just stop trying to be creative all the time.
  17. This should get some of you thinking.Name some of your 80's favs.Have no shame i know as well as anyone- its just an 80's thing you get it or you dont. Billy idol talking heads police men at work whitesnake devo peter gabriel/genesis
  18. Plaese understand that i am aware of all the off the shelf possibilities, however i did title the thread "homemade fi".It does not have to be totally home fabricated but the fact of the matter is - i am never satisfied with using something that is not at least mostly made or modified by me,therefor stock setups on already fuel injected engines will not work for me nor will their programming. Basically i just want to see what people have done in the past to "F.I.ify" their older small blocks.I am somewhat familiar with these engines which is why i want to use one,and the parts availability is absurd. This does not mean that i have settled on it as i am considering an lt1 or if i can ever afford it an ls1 - but this is unlikely as i dont think i can do too much to improve upon what is already there on those engines economicaly. My basic plan is for a 383 with nice aluminum heads and my own custom flexible fuel injection setup. The goal for me is to stay as light as possible and make around 4-450 hp.
  19. Dude i have so many aluminum plated drill bits now its rediculous.
  20. Indeed, and i think i am going to make that into a poster for myself as well.
  21. Wow that is some cool stuff. One of the pics of the machine looks like an old converted milling machine.Well i guess i need one of those now,i wonder how much??
  22. I always thought it was weird that this site doesnt already have a video section. New forum feature FTW!!
  23. Keep in mind those scales are going to be off if everything isnt totally level-leaving you with inacurate readings.
  24. Once removed my thumb nail with a sledge hammer trying to remove knuckle bearing plates on an old fj-40.Missed what i was trying to hit with a lot of force and hit my thumb nail instead which was firmly resting against the hub. Also poisoned myself using too much brakleen in a propane heated shop-just so you know-low lying brakleen fumes mixed with heat = Phosgene gas(used by the nazis in world war 2 as a nerve agent).
