Definately...Even though you are at 11 and 10 sounds only a second away-that one second (i'm no expert at this math but)will probably require like 20% or more in power gains and some lightening for good measure.Your stated modifications would probably only just get you into the 10's 10 flat is altogether different.

Well my lucky ass friend found some old guy first and only owner of a 72 240z with 67,000 miles.The car was used sparingly through the 70's and was parked in a barn from 83 until now.Sorry no pics yet,but it is green,no rust,underhood looks like new,no cracks in dash(or anything),and the seats are just starting to show wear.The guy was actually lined up at one point to sell the car to a dealer for that thing they did with the nissan factory refurbished z's,but decided to keep it.Now the part that makes me hate him,the guy is looking at this like he's clearing a spot in the barn,not selling an valuable antique,my friend is getting the car next week for $1000 after talking the guy down from $1200 lol.He is a master mechanic and is planning to get the car going and sell it,however he wants me to get some opinions what it might be worth.I will have some pics by next week and he will probablt let me post it for sale so this is an op for someone here to get a sweet z.

At this point i am urging people to try and set up shipping for themselves,I have tried to get some quotes for people but i am having trouble so far.I have been quoted $800 just to ship to michigan so unless you have shipping connections i would say it will be alot.I do have a buyer now (i think) with shipping buddies to help him out but if you are still interested i can at least post whatever rediculous price i can get for you.

That is more or less what i was thinking.The only other concern i had was the front hubs.i think rather than run the risk of just pulling the cvs out of the front i would probably just disassemble the shafts and reinsert the outboard splines and axle nut to hold everything together...should be ok i guess?

Hey all.My daily driver for the last 5 years has been my 94 3000gt.I not only love this car but it is the most reliable car i will ever own,despite what some like to say about them.I have put 100,000 miles on the car myself with no more than brake pads and very infrequent oil changes(oh yea tires too).I toyed with the idea for years of converting to vr4,but not only does that make the car borderline exotic but i also have always wondered how fun it would be rwd.I would like to keep it the sort of beater it is but make it more fun without an all out project.My idea came from seeing an awd trans at tiger japanese for like $350 that they say will fit right up to my n/a motor.What im wondering is if you guys see any potential serious problems with eliminating the front drive parts and the center diff(which i think it has with awd) and making myself a rwd 3000gt.I already know it will be loads of fun and i do have plans to someday put a serious engine in it with an rwd setup but that will be when the z is done,this is just something fun for right now,or soon rather.

Just find another dash someone doesnt need,doesnt have to be in good shape just to get dimensions.
