Well after abandoning my last plan i'm now wanting to go sbc in my 78.I'm thinking ls1 but the budget concious part of me says old sbc.Now what i'm wondering is if anyone can chime in with ideas on how to budget fuel inject an sbc without buying some crazy $2000 kit.What are some things people have done as far as modifying an intake to accept injectors and whatnot,or maybe custom made intakes?.I plan on getting good with tuning and i want to megasquirt whatever engine i decide to go with.So basically i want to hear some ideas covering this topic,not "hey just get an ls1"(which i may do lol),but rather parts and peices put together to work with the big guys at a little guy price.I'm thinking multiport rather than throttle body and if i go v8 i probably will be sticking with n/a.

An n/a vg30 should be a pretty simple swap.I personaaly shoehorned a vg30dett into my car and there is actually plenty of room even with two turbos.Of course there are problems but that is the same with anything original.I only abandoned the swap for expense reasons nothing to do with the work itself. I thought the idea here was to put roof racks on the car,obviously a 10 surfboard is not going to fit in a car:confused:.Even a full size truck has an 8 foot bed.A soob with racks is perfect,and dont forget the awd good mileage and nice drive...oh and reliable. I think he wants something that will get off the beach without help from a wrecker.

Sorry dude those wheels need to be burned on a cross,otherwise you car is sweet.Like said previously removing the wheels might make the rest of the chrome stand out but imo it will still be an improvement.

crossmember looks sweet to me.Your concerns are valid but these engines do not belong in our cars,there is always going to be something wrong that needs to be worked out,if you not ready to deal with that than you are going to have even worse problems down the road.
