  1. I'm going to order these this week, Just trying to save some $. Hit me up if you have some new ones lying around
  2. I have an entire one for cheap, In Oregon though so you'd have to come get it
  3. Yep I'm doing the same thing, just build a rotisserie from the harbor freight engine stands, there's a thread here about how. And get the bad dog frame rails
  4. On a side note, I'm going with custom flares so that fitment isn't a problem
  5. Not sure if this should be in the suspension forum or not. I finally got the funds for the ground control suspension and am going to lower my 280z a couple inches. Now I have to find tires and wheels. I'm looking at the rbrs from the group buy. I don't want to trim the air damn (which I don't have yet) I'm looking at the type 3. I want pretty wide tires in back but am flexible on the front size. Anyone know how wide I can go in front without trimming? It'll be on 17" wheels, maybe 40 series tires.
  6. Got one in Oregon, don't really wanna ship though. $100
  7. I just can't seem to picture it without going for the narrow ford type and that would just be wrong with a sbc engine. Any pics of stripes over hood vents on a 280?
  8. I met a guy at a gas station here locally, he had a new gt500, beautifull car. 500+ hp. He said driving it was almost boring! How dare he, I wanted to smack him for complaining about his car, and I don't even like mustangs. Anyway, new hp is nothing like old hp.
  9. Well since I've reached the money barrier on the project with no money foreseeable in the near future. I've been going through the pile of parts I took off in the cheap disassemble phase. Trying to see what's salvageable, and clean and paint them. Today I reinstalled the pedal box and steering wheel. Not so much for mock up, more to just keep things fresh in my memory on how it all goes back together. It's important to do when you're bored, broke, and the project is gonna take a while. The wife said I had a year start to finish.....I'd like a little of what she's smokin...
  10. Soaked the aluminum rockers panel covers in super clean for a week, um yeah, don't do that! Lol
  11. I used hammerite rust cap, can be brushed or sprayed. I'm not too sure how it holds up against por15, that seems to be a big debate. But it's a hell of a lot cheaper
  12. I am also plannIng this mod, I think they look great. Couple questions though, I want to use sheet metal not fiberglass, is the panel perfectly flat or does it have some curve to it? Also I may try the newer style oval lights, anyone done this? Sorry if I'm hijacking
  13. I got one, come to the Oregon coast and pick her up. I have a 5 speed to go with it if you need it. $200
  14. 300 sounds cheap too, maybe the shocks are the expensive parts. My next step is suspension and I was figuring about a thousand for gc without camber plates. By the way I'm crashing this thread! Southern Oregon, lol
  15. Why so cheap on those coilovers?
  16. Finished up with my dash repair, after trying 4 different 'texture' products, I finally found the perfect one....spray on bed liner in a rattle can. I figured the brush on stuff would be too aggressive, so I used the rattle can kind. 4 coats and it looks brand new!
  17. That's a good write up, but unfortunately doesn't help. I guess my main question is which hose goes on which side (I may have that figured out), AND there's a three way plastic fitting that I think goes on the drivers side. If I'm right one goes to the eyeball vent, one goes to the heater box. But the third has a short thinner hose, I have no idea where it goes
  18. Particularly of the hoses from the air box to the 'eyeball' vents in the dash
  19. More help needed please... I just searched for an hour for a picture of the heater/ac ducting for a 78 280z. I took pictures so I could reassemble it, but cannot get to them at the moment. I could sure use a picture with the dash off, but could get by with an under dash view
  20. Sweet!!! Thank you! Apparently I'm just a moron, you'd think that'd be easy enough to figure out. That's why I love this forum.
  21. Trying to put the heater system back together and can't seem to find where this was.......
  22. Tore apart the heater box to clean it up and install new seals. I threw all the old hoses away. Now I have to source new parts, get a service manual and read some heater threads. I gotta be able put it back together lol
