  1. It still has me thinking...HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Twin turbo!!!
  2. Is Mazworx the only one standing!!! they want hi $400's
  3. Are you still selling the Z32 adapters? Also I have the Z32 tranny and a 87' Turbo tranny (which has the same guts but has a regular shifter and lines up with the stock shifter location...Which should I use.
  4. Yes I agree!!! COOOOOL I knew about the long history...and a lot of cheap parts avail. for those old motors...I am actually going turbo: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=149969
  5. What happened to the front end? and I see that it was carb'ed...I think it's pretty much like installing a SBC.
  6. No...I am waiting on the forged pistons and the machine work...Mean while I have a stock system installed and wiring up...To test the wiring, brakes, fuel delivery system, and mock up and build the intercooler pipes etc.
  7. PS Big Phil I didn't read your handle before posting last...I have enjoyed your videos...I was inspired to GO BIG and I also have a big Holset WH1C with a 12 housing...I got it because the wastegate was rusted slightly open and he couldn't spell so I got it for $60 and it's super clean.
  8. Yeah I have seen the adapters for T3 to T4 But I have only seen the T3 to T3 that have the waste gate comming of of the adapter...soo I will either moun the waste gate on the front part of the cast iron stock turbo mainifold by grinding a flat spot and drill (2) holes (and tap) for the mounting and a big hole for the waste gate piston port.
  9. Thanks... The only thing I am not sure of is the Tokico Springs...There are a lot of Hybrid guys saying that they are bad, that they bind or the suspension rids funny. So when I section the strut housings I am going to cut and inch out of both sides of the purch so a I have an extra inch of travel and an inch lower. and if all of that doesn't work...Coil overs!!!
  10. I was thinking of the Rover 4.2L aluminum V8 and (2) SETS OF zx9 40mm carbs (4X 40mm Keihin CV40 carbs). Then I did a search...here are some pictures. And they are cheap, plentiful and a lot of parts available.
  11. Really cool makes me want to change my goals!!! What tranny are you running?
  12. rear brakes showing the beefy pads This shows the thickness of the rear rotor and e-brake included I will need a proportioning valve
  13. I went with a Ford rear vented disc 11" diameter and 1" thick and caliper and the pads are 3 times as big as the 300zx calipers. And I am running 4 pistons (42mm each) calipers with Q45 11" (1.1" thick rotors) brakes on the front. I haven't run them yet but will post the results
  14. Great information...I'll be taking mine to the shop "Pro Gear" and have them upgrade and rebuild at the same time.
  15. Are the J30's 29 spline or 30 like the Q45? Good info.
  16. My hosting sucks so if you can't see them it might take awhile for them to show!
  17. I have done two prior 240z turbos...the first one was a stock 192K miles 82' L28 turbo in a orange 72' stock boost 6.5Lbs. and a starion intercooler. My second was a Yellow 73' with MAF conversion, Saab intercooler, 300zx rotors with 280ZX calipers, and 280zxt rear brakes, variable rate regulator, recaro's etc. My new project: 1973 240Z I bought from cars for a cause off of eBay $600 It was on a farm in northern California and hadn't been registered from 1984 and has some rust on the roof. The laundry list of collected parts (currently has a stock L28t and zx 5 speed): L28 with p90 a set of Mahle forged pistons 90.3 or 90.5? 240z rods shotpeened and ARP bolts T4 IHI Ball bearing similar to GT35 Jim Wolf Tech 450HP ECU 420cc's that flow at 490cc (3 Bar) Lightning maf big Intercooler (gift...don't know who makes it) R200 LSD (I was having a VLSD when after 20 years I finally found a CLSD) FS5R30A 87' Turbo Tranny and 92' Z32 5 speed Q45 front breaks 89' 300zx rear brakes (big ventilated ones) MOMO steering wheel New MR2 seats (fit perfect) 76' gas tank Bosch turbo fuel pump (2) 205 50 15 Kumho's Full set of Tokico springs and struts (which I will be changing the fronts in the rear and 88' MR2 rears in front.) Needs I want 15"X8" rears, and 15"X7" fronts XXR rims (2) Kumho's for the rears bolt on flares paint job I might have forgot a few things but what do you think??? I am now posting
  18. That is one bad 280zxt...I miss my 280zxt...it was a lot quieter than my 240z...
  19. Got all 8 for $220 low mileage
  20. Those are higher compression than L28Turbo (dished) I will be replacing mine for forged soon...I found a set of Ford forged pistons that work with 240z rods.
  21. Are you still selling the adapter? mounts? what's your turn around to modify my case. I have a 87' Turbo tranny and a 92' N/A Tranny...(Is the z32 Turbo and the N/A the same internally?)
  22. I have read most of the thread and maybe I missed it (dish cc's) I just bought some 90.3mm forged pistons with a 10cc dish...does anyone know what the L28 Turbo pistons are. PS What head gasket can I use. Or can I open up the stock gasket...Most aftermarket companies (HKS) don't offer them anymore.
