I have a set of IMSA fenders and flares but not for sale. You are welcome to take a mold off of them if you wish. I am located in Sacramento. Here is a pic of the front, http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=5745&password=&sort=7&thecat=500 and here is a pic of the rear. The rears will fit at least a 12 inch wheel with coilovers. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=8895&password=&sort=7&thecat=500
Have you looked at the Kirkey road race seat? It seems to have smaller rib supports than the circle track ones, giving more steering room. http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=K47&Category_Code=MDI
I saw him at celebrity event I was photographing. It was right after "
Above the Law" and he was there with Kelly LeBrock. In order to get a closer look at Kelly I went and asked him a question I already knew the answer to. His answer was, "Aikido, I am a MASTER of Aikido". I backed up three steps and complimented him on his film but was scared to glance over to Ms. LeBrock.
Thanks for the pic. I might do something similar up front for a wider track .
Keep that new camera working. I saw some pictures on that other website but would love to see more.
Why leave one of the most beautiful areas on the planet? Carmel, Pacific Grove, 17 mile drive, the Monterey Bay Aquarium and let's not forget Laguna Seca Raceway. You would burn up most of your weekend on a drive if you went to Tahoe.
It is all homemade out of a couple of sticks of square and rectangular tubing and black pipe, one size smaller in the other for the rotating part. It is over kill but I wanted to be safe.
Several people with mold and fiberglass experience expressed interest in doing the molds and selling the front and rear IMSA flares I have. If those happen then WooHoo! Otherwise don't hold your breath. I have seen Hybrid members and Ebay folks sell whole IMSAed cars as cheap as buying fiberglass. Keep your eyes peeled.
That is a genuine IMSA flare from a racer who drove in the IMSA (International Motor Sport Association, I think) series in the seventies. The Motorsport Auto flare is IMSA "style".
Yes, it is very light It is on a rotisserie. Here is a link to Dan Juday's car with the YZ rear completed. http://www.reactionresearch.com/280yz/danjuday/danjuday.html I will use Dzus fasteners on mine (Autocross car) For bonding fiberglass ask Terry or Dan Juday.
I have both styles of flares. I will hang them on the project car and snap some shots this weekend. There are pictures of the IMSA fronts and the YZ kit in my personal gallery.
