Okay, I just read where they are 15x10!! Im not sure what I think about that... My Z would look like a pro-street!

How wide do you think those wheels are?? I am planning on 15x10 for the back of my Z. Those have got to be at least 12"??

It looks like some sort of bug getting ready to jump?? Maybe with the engine the front settles down. If it does drop that much with the engine I would say the suspension is pretty soft!

My car had originally had a vinyl top as well. The car was silver and the top was black. The previous owner had already yanked it off but there was/is still some rust damage. There is a lot of pitting along the front of the top and maybe two or three pin holes. I dont really think I have any patching to do so that is good.

Okay, Im not sure if you guys understand... I already have a project car. It has a good rust body with new floorpans and little other rust. Im turning it into my V8 daily driver. I was just wanting to maybe pick this thing up, slap on some mufflers and have some fun with it till my car is ready. I think its perfectly driveable right now if it had new tires. I was thinking about puting the wheels and tires Im buying for my Z on this one for and then switching before I sell it. Trying to make this car into a good driver would be WAY more trouble than finishing my own car. Im just looking for a toy!

I have also found that there are some Tempos that have a very similar fan. They have the same 2 speed motor and some fan blade the shroud is just a little different. It has one of the bottom corners cut off.

Okay, on my way to work this morning there I noticed a black Z sitting for sale on the side of the road. It caught my eye because it has a fiberglass cowl hood with a hole cut for the air cleaner. I stopped to look at the car and noticed several things I didnt like about the car. 1. Its not a JTR set up. The engine is so High that you couldnt fit an air cleaner under the hood and thats with a dual plane intake! 2. The car has a somewhat new but somewhat rough looking paint job 3. There is no exhaust it just ends at the 3" headers 4. There is no roll cage/frame support 5. The inside of the car is rough. Seats are bad under the seat covers. It has an okay dash cap. Guages bolted up in strange locations... 6. There are no bumpers on the car 7. The fiberglass hood didnt line up very well down at the nose of the car. 8. The car was in need of new tires. 9. There was a general air that the car was owned by someone name Billybob! The asking price was $2200 obo. After getting to work someone told me that the guy really needed money and might take a much smaller cash offer. The way the guy was talking I almost think that 10 one hundred dollar bills might be too much for this guy to pass on. If I thought I could get my money back and make a few bucks I might be willing to take it off his hands and have a toy for a couple of months. What do you guys think?

I dont know who but I know where! I cant remember the name of the strip but its right outside of Denver. I was up there hiking a place called dinasaur ridge a few months ago and you can look down over the track.

For the love of God get the straight!!! I have the angle plug and it is a PITA to get headers that will work. There are SO many more options with straight plugs. Plus the angle plug headers stick out a little further and you may have to put a U-joint in your stearing shaft.

Hey guys, I figure that if I cant get the women to talk to me I might as well hear from my Z. I used to have an 83 ZX and I really liked the sexy womans voice saying "Your Lights Are On" I think she was suppose to say more but a friend of mine spilled sprite down the dash and it must of pissed her off because she never spoke again. Anyway, how hard would it be to add the voice thingie to a 240? If it were a stand alone system that would be great. I know you can buy after market voice systems but I would like to have one from a Datsun. Any help would be great!

The ground effects kit looks like its made of Legos! I do however have to admit it took a lot of engineering to get those doors to work! Strip about 400lbs of fiberglass and aluminum off that thing and it would be pretty cool!

Umm, maybe on some of the 240Zs out there but manufacturers have been required to list HP at the rear wheels with all accessories hooked up since 1973! Also, when I was talking about 35K I am talking about new production cars. There is no way a new mustang out performs the 350Z. They are pretty even in straight line acceleration but there is where the comparison ends! Also, Im not sure if you have priced a new cobra or not but Im pretty sure your not going to pick one up for 35K.

One very important thing that Im sure you already know is that no matter how good you feel please dont stop taking your medication if you are truly bi-polar. I dont mean anything bad by this I just know first hand that it can tear your world apart. I dated a girl when I was at UT (the real UT in Knoxville ). I truely loved her and we were seriously talking about getting married. I didnt know she was bi-polar at the time (she never told me) this was about the time she decided that she was better and didnt need the medication any more. She was a whole different person. She started cheating on me (I have read that this is common) and things just went down hill. It wasnt till her mother told me that she was M/D that things started making sence. She refused to get help and things ended. I talked to her the other day and she did go back for help. She is getting married in January. She is a great person and explaned that she is just out of control without her medication. She said that she felt down when she was taking it and that is why she initially quit but the truth was she just stopped having the super highs (along with the lows). By the way both her an I were engineers as well.

I know what you guys mean about being in the gym with all these weight mongers! I am not a small guy and I feel like everyone is watching me. When I see guys benching twice as much as me I feel like I dont belong. Truth is, I really dont think anyone pays attention in the gym. What are they going to tell you that you need to join a gym? Your already there!

By the way. Dont be turned off by the dramatic before and after pictures on the page. This is not a pill or a anything like you see on TV. These are all real people who worked there butt off! I joined a BFL support group on yahoo groups and actually saw people make this kind of change in their boddies. Also, since I was on BFL I was engaged and almost married. I did get lazy along the way and am ready to go back on BFL. Right now Im 6'3" and around 240lbs. My goal weight would be around 225. If your serious about doing something about this we could get together over email and keep each other going! Let me know

Dude, I know exactly how you feel. I have been having my own problems with depression as of late. I will tell you though working out over the last few weeks has really helped me. About a year ago I was kind of overweight and feeling like there was nothing that would work for me. I was on line looking at information on the Adkins Diet (Dont go there if you like you kidneys!) and someone suggested Body For Life. Man I tell you what BFL is the best thing that ever happened to me! You really need to buy the book by Bill Philips. He really maps everything out step by step and its really easy to do! I lost around 30lbs of fat in 3 months and gained about 10lbs of muscle! IMO this is the best thing going especially for someone who is looking for a way to get started! I dont mind that it doesnt have turbos! I loved the last generation 300Zs but they were what 40K for a TT? That is the whole reason they stopped making them. They got just a little too big for their britches. The new 350 is suppose to be along the same lines as the 240. Great performance and handeling for the price. What new car can you get that will out perform the 350Z for under 35K? The Mustang might hang with it in a straight line. IMO, this car ROCKS! And you know with the 3.5L the aftermarket will be there!

Well IMO, you might be pushing it just a little if your going to run slicks. If you stick with a good street tire or drag radial from what Ive read about the R200 I really dont see a problem. There are a few guys on here putting down at least that much with little to no problems. Keep in mind this advice is coming from a guy who has yet to drive his Z.

Well, thanks a lot guys. Looks like there are a lot of people going (or have gone) through this same thing. I also just joined a gym! At least it gives me something to do until my dad can bring my Z to town. I know that the harder you look the harder they are to find but I am really not used to this. At UT women were everywhere! It was no big deal for me to go on three dates a week. At that rate I would run out of women in like five days here in Dickson! Oh well, at least I should be getting a lot done on the Z!!!
