Ok guys sorry for the long delay. Here is where we are at with the manifold. They have a stock cast manifold to make one off of. But they are saying they can only make a copy of that one and i have a feeling it would turn out like the bhj one. Here is the copy of the last e-mail i got from the guy. Jeff OK - we got the cast Manifold So - do you A) want to make " EXACT DIMENSION CONFIGURATIONS " based on what to do for the engineer and email them to me ? OR Have us make the manifold as it is, with stainless steel , and tell us where to add a gate flange and all that Just let us know what to do ........ EXACTLY ........ and we will start to do it Thanks! Honestly guys im a little lost on what we need to do from here. and could use some help. Do we just want to say make one or do we need to basically design one and send them the dimensions. So what are you guys thinking? Then we can go from there.

Jeff i say leave the car alone. and focus on getting it running correctly. My frist car was a 97 ford ranger with a 4 banger manual. i maxxed it out. it went 93mph. my second car well van was a 88 ford econoline 150. maxed out at 110ish if i recall correctly. Ive maxed out every car my parents gave me to drive. and i would of gotten into as much trouble with a slower car. If you make it slow enough to not speed on the interstate that doesnt mean he wont speed in town. and by that time you will probably have slowed the car down enough to where its unsafe. IDK how many times i have used acceleration to get out of getting hit. Here is the sure fire way to keep him driving at a reasonable speed if you can. 1. start off paying his insurance. but have it in writing with him that if he gets a ticket or in a wreck that he has to take over the insurance after that or has to pay the difference. 2. if he gets a ticket. take the car away for a month. make him walk. take the bus. It will make him appreciate what he has. You get the idea. I also like the idea of getting him into autocross. Both of you do it and it can be a father son activity you can do and you both can battle it out for the best times. I always raced motorcross growing up and it was a great day the time i passed my dad in a race.

Just do it on the compression stroke. Both valves are closed then. Ive used this method dozens of times with out issue and with out me making sure im on the compression stroke so i doubt it would bend a valve

Have you seen his welds?? Go look at the intercooler that he had to modify. His welds are pretty much perfect. So its not like its going to be just thrown together..

You dont need forged pistions with a holset and 14psi. Im runing it right now Im saving up for a set right now but im looking for way more than 14psi. Im just running this engine till i can build a nice one. Bigphil is running like 26psi on a stock motor and head with meth injection. So if thats as high of boost as you plan on running. i personally would save the money..

im runing 14psi right now on my he351cw and i was running 10psi before that. Works fine. BUT i do want more!!!!! but i need to tune more first

Its easier to make a 4 inch dp and then transition it under the car when its going straight. and you can do it much more gradual. Ilso i had my dp off yesterday and i was noticing that i had black soot on the inside of my v-band clamp which says to me that its not sealing up correctly. If i remember correctly from what i was told from Speeder(hey had that kit at one point) the nob is a potentiometer that adjusts the resistance to the coolant sensor. It adjusts how rich or lean you are going to run. thats why the exhaust temps would go up when you turned it because you where making it leaner. which means its running hotter. Guys put those in on there cars all the time to help with tuning. This just came with it in the kit.

HVLP or id just use a gravity feed.

I used every thing from 400 to 1500 at the end before my final coat. I would maybe do it again but i would spray the paint on. Like spray 2 good coats and sand and then do maybe 3 more good coats and then wet sand and buff.

Its just a pain. and when you wet sand you just keep sanding through the edges. At least i did. Your just never going to get that deep looking paint that i want. Idk Just want something better. Its ok for now but Its just so much work. its to much work for the end result in my opinion. Jeff

Thats what your supposed to do after your final wet sand. I gave up and just left it ruff. Its like 12 coats and wet sanding between every 2-3

Thats not gloss black. I mixed it myself. Its like 3 parts royal blue to one part black

Hey now!! you know my car is down more often then it is working!!! lol Well thats been the case lately at least. It was down for 2 weeks then i had it running for like 1 and half. then it was back down for 4 weeks. ran for 2 days and now its back running again. lol WHAT A PAIN!!!
