  1. I just recieved this e-mail from joe at SSAC when i told him i had a manifold to send to him. Jeff Without a sample of the " ACTUAL " manifold - we cannot make something based on a picture - as we dont know the proper lengths of the pipes, or how far the turbo flange is from point a to point b , and so on ......... We use Jigs and templets - Does anyone have a cracked " AFTERMARKET " manifold So its looking like we need an aftermarket manifold to send to him. kinda making this a little more difficult. I would think that we should shoot for a greddy or one like the type i showed earlier.. Input would be great guys. Jeff

  4. LOL ive had a few. one was out of a 300zx. one was out of a 92 i believe and now this one is out of an 89maybe. idk i didnt pay that much attention to it. here is my crossmember. It was my first welding project and it is really ugly but its worked so far. And when i say my first welding project i mean i went and bought a welder and hadnt welded before and tried to make this. lol
  5. the b box speedo cog carrier can be used with the c box. Take the carrier and cut a slot 180deg. from the original holding slot. and then put it in just using the new slot you just made. it works fine

  7. Ok something we need to get nailed down is what size we want the primaries. I heard someone say "1 5/8" would that be good or idk Give me some ideas. im getting a manifold shipped off to him for mock up.
  8. Just took it out tonight and all i have to say is HOLY COW 15psi is fun to say the least... I REALLY NEED WIDER RIMS/TIRES!!!!!!

  12. Honestly i dont think a completely equal length turbo manifold will happen. it would more than likely not allow for A/C use which i think would kill this for a group buy. The people that are looking for the max effort turbo header will more then likely have already had ones custom made to there purpose. What i think we will get out of this group buy is a very nice well flowing manifold that will out flow the stock by a lot. I think if we stick with the manifold design that i posted earlier it will satisfy "most" of our crowd. I still need some input on what size to have the runners made. Also do you think a 44mm v-band waste gate would work well for us? I know that alot of people are saying to go with a 38mm flange but ive been hearing that some people are getting some pretty large boost creep with the 38 so i say we should plan ahead and go with the 44mm. That would also take away an issue of them welding the flange on in the wrong position like was posted in another thread.

  14. the fitting on the bottom goes to the efi fuel pump. then on top you have one for the return line from the fuel rail. one for the feed like from the high flow fuel pump, and one for the over flow back to the tank
  15. A soda can actually fits perfect in mine lol never spilled on me!!!!
  16. How thin are you making your paint? ANd DONT PUT PRESSUREON THE ROLLER!!!! that causes bubbles that you dont want. Try using a blow dryer to pop the air bubbles that are happening right after you roll like have the roller in your right hand and blow dryer in the left and have the blower popping the bubbles. But if your getting roller marks either you are pushing to hard or your paint is to thick my guess is your paint is to thick. I made my paint almost like water. like 55%paint to 45% mineral spirits. My suggestion would be to spray it on though. its way to much work to roll imho.

Allright been e-mailing back and forth with Joe at SSAC today and this was his last e-mail We can add a 44mm Vband gate flange no problem - we can make it as you desire Just let me know A) WHERE you want the Gate The size of the Primaries C) What Turbo flange desired ( T25 , T3 , T4 ETC .. ) D) Location of Gate flange and if you want to to a Turbo downpipe to connect to your exhaust we can do that as well OK I just need to get something to get started and then we can make something for you guys. So based on that what are we looking for?? Like mainly the primary size and so on.
  19. pictures of the rust your talking about?? Im sure that those of us that have been through the battle would be more than willing to give you some pointers on where to start so you dont have to do stuff twice.
