  1. There is a guy that sells them on ebay from time to time. I have been looking for his info for weeks but i cant find it. does anybody know who he is??
  2. First to see if your getting fuel pressure 1. make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump. you could have a blown fuse. 2.when you turn the car on your fuel pump should turn on. Maybe have a friend turn the car on with your hand on the pump. you should be able to feel it vibrate. 3 If all this checks out take off the return fuel line on the fuel rail. and put it in a small fuel can. turn on the car and see if it flows into it. if not i would change all your fuel filters.

  4. if its the stock 260 pump in the back trying to run the turbo set up IT WILL NOT WORK. The only way the stock 260 pump can be utilized is if you have it feeding a surge tank and then having another EFI pump going to the fuel rail.
  5. I had a guy make a comment about my z a few months ago. He was in a z28 or some similar car and said "wanna race" and i was like na my differential is acting up. Which it was. and then he sad "it wouldnt of been a race anyway". and that just pissed me off kinda but i smiled and said. and said how do you know that and he replied with the answer that made my night it was. "I KNOW how much POWER those came with" i started laughing and so did my friend that was with me and we walked into the pool haul laughing and us both knowing i could of beat him..
  6. Check your plugs like challenger said. If its not in your intake piping then that means its either your oil rings in your engine(which is unlikely if it wasnt smoking on the old turbo) or the control ring behind the turbine wheel. either way the turbo is probably going to have to come off.
  7. The point is you dont really know an answer to his question. There was a post about this from an Admin. here lately.http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=131790&highlight=answer Have you ever taken a turbo apart? Have you rebuilt one? do you know what actually leaks on a turbo when it goes? If not then dont post. Its that simple. Giving an uneducated opinion does nothing for the forum and just makes it harder to search for quality info.
  8. pull your intake piping and see if there is oil in it. Or if its just in the exhaust. but for sure i would be calling the company that built the turbo and see what they have to say. they might of even forgot to put the seal in place. ya never know.
  9. That doesnt matter that only has to do with sealing the intake charge or the exhaust and has nothing to do with oil.
  10. Have you had a turbo apart mjlamberson? There is only one nut or bolt that would make the turbo leak if its a t3 or t4 series turbo. and thats the nut on the compressior fan. and if that came lose you would hear all kinds of noises. So basically not to be rude but stop guessing when it has no benefit to the OP.Just because it was rebuilt means nothing. It could of been rebuilt but the person who rebuilt it just threw in a rebuild kit and didnt realize that the shaft had been turned down or something like that and that would cause tons of oil. Also how do you know the oil is coming from the turbo and not a bad ring or rings??

  13. lite and wimpy??? HAHAHAHAHAA this thing is heavy. True i havent held a spearco but this thing is very stoute. its coming off my car tomorrow or thursday. ill weigh it for ya. id say over 25lbs though

  17. i have the he351cw not the he351ve mine doesnt have the vgt set up. i believe it can be made to work and i plan on buying one and trying to get it to work with my megasquirt but thats at a later date.

  19. yep should work it says its for the 2+2's which came with the 240mm flywheel. thats actually a pretty good price if its any decent clutch .
  20. I dont think you can rest a 280z ecu I dont believe it has any memory in it.
  21. Does it go to the floor and then you have brakes at the very very bottom of the stroke?? If so your reaction disk came out in your brake booster. Probably happened if/when you where pumping your brakes up after you put the calipers back on the struts.
  22. Sounds like you have a bad oil ring and oil is getting into your cylinder. Id start with a compression check and go from there
