The turbo injectors are brown. and you shouldnt have to remove the pintel caps to install the injector seals. If you need a set i have them sitting on a shelf. Make me an offer.

Im no expert on the zxt's but if there was such a box that told the ecu how much boost its running it would be included in the zxt to z turbo swap, and well i think we all know that its not. It might be part of the cruise control if i recall right there is alot of the sensors on the drivers fender by the coil that has to do with the cruise.

Just got my tires in. My rims should get here probably tomorrow or wed. I think. Here is a pic of what im upgrading from!!!!! Hrmm think ill have more traction. I cant complain with those tires though. They did get me to a 13.67 if i recall right. Dang those are wide. I just cant get over it lol Jeff

Will you define the clutch going out? cause it might not be your actual clutch/pressure plate assembly

The only parts i have marks from the sanding is on the roof where i used the flapper sanding disks a bit but on the rest of the body there is no sanding marks.

Here is some pics of where i left the car for the weekend. Got a bit done but not alot. Well here is the pics And for those of you that wondered what i used to strip it here ya go. Also this took off bondo and paint/primer

Not to bad. How much boost? Im hoping to get into the 12's the next time im at the track thanks to a much bigger turbo than at dni and much wider tires. might actually be able to get the power to the ground this time lol. Good job warren. So we gonna have a grudge match at this fall DNI?? Jeff

I had the same problem. The write up on how to make your own relay cable tells you to leave the ignition output wire open.

Dtm is direct to metal primer. The stuff im using is a DTM/highbuild/non sanding sealer depending on how you thin it out and such. As far as a resporator thats why im not spraying this weekend my paint shop was closed so i couldnt get the correct type of resporator. I dont think the ones they sell at lowes is good enough. For the primmer im just using a cheap harbor freight gravity fed gun. Ive used them before with pretty good results and tis just primmer and is going to get sanded down. The damage on the door is very minimal. I actually was able to just hammer and dolly it out. Its the rear quarter that is going to take the most work but since im going to be zging the car it actually saves me alot of work

First of all you need to remove the lock wedge bolt. Its on the middle of the spindle and it looks like you have the nut off of it. take a brass drift or lead hammer and just give it a good wack and it should come out. Then you need to either get the puller called the spindle pin puller or you can try to just beat it out. Most have bad luck because its been so long since its been taken apart that its just rusted in place. Good luck

thanks for the update

well got the fenders and headlight buckets stripped today. I was going to spray on the primer but realized i didnt have the correct respirator. So hopefully i can find one tomorrow cause i know my normal paint shop is closed. otherwise im gonna have nothing to do all weekend. So who says i should just clear it? Is this the normal hole pattern for the hood emblem?

Does some one have a straight 240z bumper off there car that they can measure the distance between the 2 ends? Also the distance from the point in the front of the bumper to the ends of the bumper. Im trying to straighten mine and its looking good but i need those measurements to see if i need to spread it or not. thanks Jeff

Im pretty sure they are welded in. It it a much better job than i could do. I would probably make it worse. Well i got the rest of the car stripped this afternoon. I also got my DTM primer today so that will be going on this weekend. I also settled on a color. THe Brickyard was just a tad bright for me and its really expensive paint. I saw this color today and i asked the paint shop about it and is 40 bucks cheaper per quart than the brickyard. Its called blackberry crush metallic. Its from a 2008 scion XB It is similar to the brickyard but it only has red pearl in it instead of red and white pearl. well here is a pic

Im using my trusty 4.5 inch angle grinder with these scotch brite type pads they sell at Lowes. strips the paint nicely but doesnt dig into the metal at all. And yes i have damage on my door and rear fender lip. I wrecked the car about a week ago. I doubt i will redo the under coating in the rear and floor pans. I dont have that much time. Im going to def. do my own body work. and depending on how much money i have left will depend on if i paint it myself or not.

that sucks phil. there has been alot of wrecks lately.. I wrecked mine last week and am stripping all the paint off right now. my car has like 4 different coats of paint on it pluse primer between them all. You did say you wanted to get rid of that rustoleum paint!!!! lol thats what im taking this chance to do.

Thanks zedevan. That honestly looks sweet. And that was a good picture to do it on considering i am zg'ing it and putting on fender mirrors. I know im the one that has to decide. This thread was more to just have some help with photoshoping.

Not to berude but i wouldnt go with the 250r with your weight. The suspension will be under sprung and not have enough power. And honestly i doubt you would get 70mpg with the 250 hauling you around. Im not trying to be mean must the facts Its like when you get the 4banger car to get better gas mileage and then it gets worse than the v6 would of because you have to work it so much harder to get the same performance.

Ok i just went and read my original post. What more information do you need? time of day? around 5pm. Need to know why i was driving on the interstate? do i need a reason? no but it was because i was coming home from a poker tournament. Was i speeding? No. posted speed limit was 70 i was going 75 and i was getting passed by people. Road conditions. IT hadnt rained in a long time and it maybe had slightly rained for about an hour and wasnt enough to wash the roads off. Did i change lanes and punch the throttle? no i cant do that on wet roads my tires break loose instantly. So does that give enough "background"? tell me what you want to know if not. I never said i was the best driver in the world. But i do know that this is the first time i have ever not been able to save an out control situation on the street. that even includes getting clipped in the rear in a ford ranger and putting me into a side going down the highway. I saved it and kept it on the road with out hitting anybody. And as far as all your accomplishments. would you like me to have my dad dig up how many state and regional Motorcross championships ive won? Or how many track days ive been to on street bikes? Sure i dont have that much experience in cars yet but im not stupid and i would never do something on purpose that would put others in danger. Im not one that is afraid to put myself in danger but I have enough respect for people to not put them in danger.

Thanks woldsen. And no that isnt what the clor looks like. That pops to much. its a much duller color in person. Also when the light is not on it its can almost look black. but it does give me a good idea. thanks alot
