  1. Yeah i installed that while im at it. Its off of an FC RX7 I still need to plumb it in. Its kidna blocked but its better than nothing. If my oil temps arent cooler im going to do a JDM style hang it off the front of the car set up!!! lol

  3. lol No its an awsome anime. look for it. Check out dattebayo.com for it they have most of the episodes on there. not a car anime but still good. they also do naruto. and the new naruto is well pretty amazing. very grown up.

  7. Well its been a long 3 weeks but i finally got my turbo and intercooler buttoned up. Well still waiting on a v-band clamp for my DP but im hoping it will get here tomorrow. Well here are some pics. Let me know what you think. I also installed a 60mm tb and i hooked it up with a cable throttle. i did this becaues i want to hook up cruise control and with the 240sx extra pully it will alow me to do it alot easier T
  8. Speeder on here has a IS300 that has been turbo'ed and according to him his had the supra internals put in IE connecting rods and pistons. If the case is that the NA's have the forged pistons from the factory that will probably get me onto this swap sooner because you can get IS/GS300 motors for dirt cheap
  9. Did you install the supra piston and rods in it or did you leave the cast ones in place?? If/when i get bored with the L-series im planning on doing this swap into my 260z

  12. Honestly its not easy to get that 4 inch dp in there with the stock manifold. Your manifold sits the turbo closer to the fender to where you can have a straight shot at it. with mine you have to position the first 45deg bend towards the fender and then come back 15 degrees or so and then try and get your next 45 bend on it. i had to cut and reweld the last bend like 5 times to get it to clear nicely and be pointed in a respectable direction. And i didnt do it because you did i just did it because i didnt have the cast elbow that comes with it. But then again i did look at your pictures before i made mine lol. I just wish i had a tig so i could buy stainless and weld that nice and pretty!!! I hate my 150buck flux core welder!!!!!
  13. Well i bit the bullent and made a 4 inch down pipe instead of trying to mess with making a 4 inch pipe go into a 3 inch dp in a matter of inches. Ill reduce it after the dp to connect to my exhaust. Its not the prettiest thing but i think it should work. i still need to weld on my o2 bung tomorrow but that will take 5 min. well what do you think?
  14. not bad. i made my 4" dp tonight and last night. im just gonna run an open dump for a little bit. Im hopping to make it to the strip on wed.

  16. or take a C-clamp and clamp the flywheel to the aluminum dust shield and then losen the bolts.
  17. You will be glad you Replaced your battery try while your engine is out. its alot easier. and repainting your engine bay at the same time. I painted my engine bay with the engine in the car but the manifolds off... ya wasnt fun. And on the beer note... What junior in HS doesnt know where to get beer???? regardless of his age!!!! lol. I would call him up and ask if he likes good beer and a cigar. Have your dad/mom get you a cas and a few good cigars
  18. Ya you could spend 80 bucks on that OR you could take a piece of chain and put one bolt through the end and bolt it to a pressure plate bolt. and then a few links down put another bolt into the bellhousing. You could even do this with thick wire and wrap it around a few times

  20. I understand all this and when he gave me that price i was a little worried also. I feel im far from having these made yet and I have alot of questions that i want to ask him and make sure we are getting a decent product. A decent product is more important than price i would believe with in reason. Ill keep ya updated when i get more info.
  21. All right guys ive gottne one e-mail back from this guy and things look promising. Price will be under $200 bucks per his quote. but im not sure what style that would be i wrote him back and gave him some pictures of what would be best. He didnt say what it would be made out of either. I honestly think that a manifold that was like the one a few posts up would work well for this group buy to keep "most" of the people happy. it keeps every thing close to the stock location to satisfly the ac and not having to rework our exhausts to much or our intercooler piping. It also would probably be pretty easy to make which would keep costs down. Just give me some time to work things out with him to get this going, and then when i have some solid information on this i will update you. As right now nothing is set in stone so nothing can really be set. Ill keep ya all updated. later Jeff
