  1. LUCKY!!! I need a new welder. all i have is a really cheap Lowe's flux core only welder that i bought for under 200 bucks. gets the job done but it cant handle much and its really messy
  2. i just built mine like a week ago from the turbo back and yours is WAY nicer than mine. i just used aluminized steel mandrel bends and just put her together. i was in such a rush i didnt even try to clean my welds up.(friday before DNI) Ill go back and see if i can clean them up when i put my new he351cw in. ill have to modify my dp a little bit to make it work.

Yeah that was the first time i had seen a stock t3 next to a holset he351cw. and i was a little surprised by how much the holset dwarfs the t3. and yes it is a little baby but it kept my boost cravings occupied for a good half a year.. lol hopefully this holset with last a little longer till im craving more boost.
  4. oh yes it will. it made power early like in 4th gear it would cross over to positive boost at like 2200rpm but it was running out of air by the time it hit 3500-4000rpm
  5. I was waiting for it to explode also. When i was at school at American Motorcycle Institute I was lucky enough to be part of the Horsepower shoot out they have every year as part of bike week in daytona beach. I saw 3 turbo harleys blow the engines in them. one threw a push rod completely out of the motor. It was real scary honestly. Ever time im at a dyno now i stand back and and try to tell people to do the same.

Yep got my new holset in the mail today its a HE351Cw off of a 05 dodge ram. with 45k on it. the guy just took it off for something bigger. it has very little shaft play up and down and zero shaft play in/out. Here are some pics of it next to my stock t3 to show how big it is. Well im gonna take it apart tomorrow and try to start boring out the wastegate hole. OH ya BIGPHIL im coming for ya!!!! lol just kidding.
  8. 2 seater? or 2+2 if its a 2 seater you have a r180 with a 3.364 i believe. you are going ot have to swap in a r200. i would suggest doing alot of research on all aspects of the swap. i would go over to the drivetrain section and start reading. Sure we could just tell you what to do, but what would be the fun in that.
  9. First of all what car do you have? and then what rear end do you have. If you have an r200 it should be able to handle the power. Its the half shafts and stub axles that are going ot be the weak point.

  11. ya i saw that also. kinda looks like its a spark plug wire arcing to ground. which isnt good

  13. Thanks KTM. I tune my motor for 11.5:1 to 11.8:1 under high boost. I just havent done my research as far as meth goes yet. I need to since im going to be putting a HY35W on this week.

If you look at your afr's they are starting to get richer and richer and richer at 4500 and hence your power is decreasing. so you might want to do some more tunning and it looks like you need to back your fuel off some. but then again i guess that could be your meth. kicking in. and im not sure how your supposed to have it tuned for when that kicks in.l

  17. thats a good way to go but honestly its over kill for derek. he is staying NA. i do think i should walk you through the 240sx swap. its a piece of cake for someone like you. start looking for a good quality 240sx transmission. if you have an extra bellhousing laying around we can do the swap in an afternoon. well i guess you will need to have another drive shaft ready that has been shortened ready also. but we can do it real easy like. lol hit me up sometime if your interested
  18. i think you are supposed to have them honed so they have a better fit. i would try to heat it up some with a heat gun and then put it on so its on tighter. makes it less likely to come off or to wobble. the bhj dampers have it in there install instructions to have to hone the damper so you get a tighter fit.

It is the same size as the one suggested earlier but it is 3.5 inches thick instead of 3inches thick. i think it works out to be like 36inches bigger than the 3 inch one. should work nicely with my new hy35w that should get here next week also
  21. yeah i have noticed alot of peoples are off. guess im lucky that mine is on.. but i do have to replace my hinge pin.. wish me luck on getting it straight again righ?? and nice video. i wish my car was that clean

  23. i just got a part time job at block buster so ill have more money for my car lol. so ill get to watch all the movies i want!!!! which is good because i tend to dl alot of them. oh and a movie that blew me away recently was "The Last King of Scotland" absolutely amazing
  24. ok i have this turbo on my engine as we speak. I have the HX30W and i was running 19psi through it and it felt slower than my stock t3 did at 13ish psi. when i swapped out my t3 for the holset hx30w at the same psi(13) i had to decrease fuel on my VE table in megasquirt. so this means it flows less air. so just some real world experience. i did blow it up the first weekend i ran it(it was in poor shape before i put it on) but even if i didnt i would be looking for a different turbo. i have an 05 hy35w on its way and im sure that will make my power goals a reality
