  1. man i wish i had stock interior that looks clean as can be. Only 2 things with modding the dash is reflection and resistance to sun wear.
  2. Getting together my parts for the turbo upgrade--- and injectors are my next purchase. Anyway I have heard a lot about these DeatschWerks injectors... who here runs these injectors... is it worth the savings? How do they actually compare to nismo, or sard or the other popular injector companies? TIA -Eric
  3. Well its getting to be that time for a turbo upgrade, and as I shop around for my Z clearly the best option for my motor (RB25DET is a gt30, or a compareable ball bearing turbo...but heres the deal. My car is not a track car, not a heavy racer, not autox just a street car I am bulding to have fun on the weekends and forget I even own a sedan to drive to work in. I cant justify spending almost 1400 on a turbo when there are t3/t4s out there brand new for 550 shipped! So my requests-- 1) what motor you have 2) what trim t3/t4 3) What AR is it 4) Who makes it- (Garret, turbonetics, 5) Power level 6) When full boost comes in 7) Dyno graphs if possible.... Also, if you have any suggestions on a turbo, BB or JB leave them here. Just trying to guage from you experiences if this is the right snail for me
  4. Tried searching for the Hub bore but I cant find a specific answer... Found this for a 240z http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=119851&highlight=hub+bore I have a 260z that I purchased spacers for however even though the spacers are studcentric it does not fit over the hub. What is the diameter of the front hubs? TIA Eric
  5. dont like the layout of the forum--- and keeping the topics viewable only to users doesnt let anyone see what it has to offer. Try a simpler layout and have some more base information about what you are looking for. 250s are not "kit cars". They are modded Z's. An ariel atom, k1 attack, noble M12, the blast etc are kit cars. Try a simpler format for starters, and have a better info base before marketing. I can get more info off google about your topic where as the reason this forum is sucessful is you cant just search google for an answer. oh and having more then one post before you advertise on other forums not only builds credibility to the people you are trying to talk to but doesnt piss off the moderators for whoring out their hard work for your own free personal advertisement
  6. Well, As winter is in the not so distant future I am looking to add heat to this car at least to carry it through the fall before i put it in storage. I have an RB Z and the heaterbox? below.... What else do I need to put heat back in? and yes i know its dirty--- but thatll clean up
  7. wow nice find! any other pics of it back in the day? :Right click save as: The last guy I bought it off of took the centerlines off in lieu of some panasports--- and now i just sold them for some sportmax's I know i know--- panasport> sportmax but I needed width to fill out the widebody--- The car looks even more like the batmobile with those centerlines on it... lol
  8. Have a Longnose R200 and I swapped the rear cover for it to fit in my 260z however I need a gasket... anyone have a part number? or where to get one?
  9. So just for clarification--- I am bring my diff to get welded up this week- Is all that needs to be welded together is the spider gears? or is there something else that needs to be seemed together? -E
  10. its from a 92. ka24de motor....did i need an s14 cable?
  11. by far the best explanation ever. Thank you
  12. Ill be the first to ask what a harmonic balancer is and why it is important to RB owners. just FTR
  13. Panasport 16x7 +6 205/50/15 w/ 1.5" spacers in the back. F/S because i need to go wider to fill out the widebody
  14. So i just purchased a 240sx throttle cable for my greddy intake manifold and just by the initial looks of it it seems too short? Did i get swindled or just buy one from the wrong year? Pics.... (its just under 4 ft long)
  15. wait I am a noob at differentials (Had a honda before). I thought all you did was weld the spyder gears? what else do you have to seam together?
  16. EXACTLY---the only differentials that "fit into my price range" have been out of stock for a while... As for the rain---the car will never be driven in the rain. Ever. So only dry summer pavement for me---My only question was reliability and a welded diffs ability to withstand power in straight line acceleration. I dont want to ruin a perfectly good r200 by welding it but it seems that that is not the case. jmortensen-- I spent a lot of time reviewing your write up on all the diffs. Very informative and I give you "props" for taking time out to write that up. But guaging by my needs for the car my questions of reliability werent really answered specifically in your thread.... That being said I will be brining my R200 to get welded at this place called Import Intellegence in PA where they have done plenty in the past. Not too shabby for about 50-100 bucks... Thanks guys! -Eric
  17. Well heres how the story goes.... my RB powered Z is about to get some extra power via some go fast goodies under the hood---The car is purely a street car. Something to have fun in on the road on the weekends, turn some heads, go to meets and work on/have a good time with. I certainly do not need to have a 1400 dollar quaife and I am having trouble sourcing a nice CLSD for my R200. My application: Spirited pulls/some drag, no autox no road courses My power Goal: 350-375 RWHP My questions: 1. Who is using a welded rear differential? 2. What has the lifespan been of that diff? 3. How does this compare to a phantom Grip particularly in terms of reliability Essentially I have an R200 sitting in my garage collecting dust and I know it is stronger then the 30yr old r180 i have in the car now. I am looking for the most reliable way to preserve the diff in spritied pulls and get traction to both wheels. Thoughts, Comments, questions anything--- thanks in advance -Eric
  18. Looking to beef the fuel system in my RB25det in the near future and the shop I am dealing with tells me it is cheaper to convert to a top feed fuel rail and injectors then to just get side feeds. Worth it? no? Discuss... Also for reference please include your setup: Fuel Rail: FPR: injectors: Fuel management: thanks! -E
  19. About to install the greddy intake manifold on my RB Z along with Q45 throttle body and was wondering if I am going to run into throttle cable issues with this setup. -does the stock TPS transfer over? -any advice or tips that i should look out for when installing? TIA, -Eric
  20. With a lug centric spacer do i need to worry about hub bore? trying skulite now...
  21. Anybody have a specific brand or vendor that I can contact?
  22. if nobody responded in 4 days and it made it to the bottom of the page- either i didnt search hard enough or i really stumped some people.... edit: just tried searching again...
