  1. Damn. I just got a feature this month and was super proud till i saw what a Z car raelly could look like. Outstanding car and kudos to all the effort. -E
  2. Well, I got recognized on another forum that operates out of the northeast for "Car of the month". Approximately 9000 members so while its not huge I am still very excited. This forum has lead the way for me so I just wanted to share... Heres a pic and a link. Link http://www.tristatetuners.com/index.php?page=cotmstreeteg
  3. thank you for the comments guys. Once winter hits the lights are coming out for a good old fashioned retrofit which I am very excited about. I will keep you posted -Eric
  4. very cool! any more info on the coilovers?
  5. ha i was hoping for maybe an external gate sound added in or something. boooo
  6. Took one cool shot the other day... and finished with the rest... here are some more pics and a quick vid. Shots taken with a point and shoot. And if youre wondering this is the continuation of the Sixgun car...still a lot of progress to make but a lot of fun as is. -E Video www.makingapril.com/greg/Eric/zvid.mpg
  7. ill be the first to ask why you are selling
  8. Oh and as for pics of the outside of my car the wheel fitment sucks as I am awaiting my works, so it doesnt do it justice, but here it is with the old panasports:
  9. OK so it apparently doesnt let you edit posts on Hybrid... my bad... Here are some updated pictures This is the replacement headlight in the housing...Dont judge the fitment so much these fit just as the stockers did--- just some imperfection in the body work. Also the body work deleted the front turn signal so I have the LED wired to work with the signals in the car (from a custom dash to a custom taillight panel. Here is a close up of the "projector". As you can see its an unenclosed housing that still allows the light to be reflected off the rest of the light thus emitting light everywhere. However if baked and taken apart is a great start to a retrofit... which is the next step. I retained both the HID bulb and the stock bulb for police/inspection purposes and HID is "for off road purposes only" and on a separate switch. For the money I just cant beat what I put together here, and a retrofit is going to cost me but another 100 bucks if I can work a junkyard properly. Here is the link to the headlights, and I am sure any Ebay HID kit will work. I did go to autozone and replace the bulb in the "city light" with an amber bulb from autozone.
  10. OK i got the pics on my comp now---- update coming in 5 to original post -E
  11. already a sparco and RB in it... I like your style
  12. i think that turbo can swallow a crow and not break...That Z is so sick....cant wait for the dyno vids... -E
  13. They are just standard 7" replacements that I grabbed off ebay that fit in the stock cradle. I have to replace a bulb because I stripped the wire by accident for the non HID bulb so I will take good pictures of everything then. -E
  14. The HID conversion was extremely easy to put in. IF you dont retrofit. The beam pattern sucks though. More pics and info on Monday I PROMISE! -Eric
  15. Ill take pictures of the headlight and compare it to the old one when I get back up to jersey this holiday weekend. You will see what I am talking about with the headlight/projector. The ebay headlights DEFINATELY need a retrofit... and ill show you why. stay tuned! -E
  16. The headlamps did have integrated turn signals... a huge plus for me because I do have a lot of body work (and no front signal) however for the life of me i cant get them to blink even when wired correctly. Its annoying.. THe ballasts are mounted on the framerails inside the bay and the wires are through the wheel well. Very simple install actually. Like I said I will get full pics when I am home again. -E
  17. VME HID kit:$70 shipped Ebay Projectors: 25 shipped Random Wiring $5 Well, the HIDs emit a wonderful light. THe kid comes with two bulbs so I still have high and low beams which is great. On the other hand the projectors SUCK. They are not even real projectors. ITs just a piece that looks like a projector in front of the bulb. There is no cutoff and the beam pattern is harsh. Retrofit is necessary however there is no way in hell I am paying 760 for the bolt in 7" projectors that are linked in some of the other lighting threads. Here is a quick camera phone pic... full shoot and comparison is on the way.
  18. Finally done my Engine bay until its time to go for a turbo upgrade. painted, mild tuck...I think it looks good...true tuckers will disagree... either way heres the shots. Mods include: Greddy intake mani FMIC Greddy BOV Pinned hood rather than front release Recirc Delete Q45 Throttle body 24x4x12 intercooler 3" piping all around... (needed 2.5 --> 3 adapter off turbo and 3"--> 3.5 adapter into TB...) Future mods include: Full tuck Stock manifold modded for external wastegate t3/t4 turbo Shooting for around 350@ the wheels when its done---biggest thing slowin me down is the wheel order is gonna set me back a pretty peny (thank you stimulus check) -E PS the reason for such a low goal is for the fact that i have an RB20 trans...and I am more into reliability then ridiculous power because my bank account doesnt accomodate to large breakages.
  19. im a boost noobie so there will prob be a few things happening quite similar to this. Little problems i think are huge. Thanks for the heads up though i do appreciate it.
  20. I have the stock intercooler w/ stock BOV and all piping that allowed the stocker to fit on my RBZ. I also have the intake arm that allows for MAF, recirc, and PCV. pm me if interested
  21. Heres the low-down.Stock rb25det FMIC greddy type s bov avc-r boost controller set to 10lbs stock ECU stock MAF stock ignition. Was driving the other day and the car was cruising just fine... hitting boost like normal, idle like normal, 10lbs all day throughout the RPM band. Felt very solid. Then as I am cruising back to my house and under load, just as the car builds around 6-7 lbs @ 3300 it just stops making power, and hesitates very noticably. At the time I just chalked it up to heat, but I took it out again today and same thing.... It will cruise out of boost just fine, even build a little under load, but as soon as it feels full boost is going to hit, power just dies off. My instinct tells me MAF, and I havent checked it yet...but if so... I have access to a z32maf...will that work with a stock ECU? Sparks look good (little dark, but as expected running untuned). Any suggestions? maybe a ground? vacuum line? First places I should check? Let me know! Thanks in advance.... -Eric
  22. Looking to pick up a wideband for my RB, just something simple for my bolt on/ stock turbo rb just as some extra insurance while driving. I have my eye on a PLX M300 because its really all i need. Can I use the wideband and replace my stock 02?...should I? Benefits to replacing? I am rookie to boost, so I dont want to have any run ins.... Thanks in advance -Eric
  23. Wow thats a cool lookin setup. I like the twin outlet for hte WG. Nice purchase.... any more info on it?
